The Premios Juventud ceremony has officially concluded in Marbella, Spain, but was broadcast on a delay across the U.S. on Thursday (Sept. 3).
The first winners were announced earlier in the day on social media. Among them, Shakira and Burna Boy took home the OMG collaboration award for “Dai Dai,” the official song of the 2026 World Cup, which has topped Billboard’s global charts for weeks.
Additionally, Cazzu won the award for best cumbia song for “Con Otra,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Argentina chart, while Carín León and Alejandro Fernández shared the My Favorite Track honor for their hit “Me Está Doliendo,” which reached No. 1 on the Latin Airplay and Regional Mexican Airplay charts.
Shakira, who did not attend the ceremony, was among the most-awarded artists of the night, taking home three trophies — including Premios Juventud female artist and best pop song for another notable collaboration, “Bésame” with Alejandro Sanz. Aitana, Alejandro Fernández, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce received the same number of awards; the latter two swept the tropical category thanks to their joint album Better Late Than Never and their hits “Dardos” and “Lokita por Mí.”
Other winners included Bad Bunny, who took home the honors Premios Juventud male artist and tour of the year; Karol G, who won album of the year for Tropicoqueta and best urban rhythmic song for “Verano Rosa” (with Feid); Santos Bravos, named favorite group or duo of the year and winner in the new generation – male artist; and Bizarrap, named producer of the year.
For the first time, Premios Juventud took place in Europe, at the Starlite Auditorium in Marbella, Spain, following previous editions in Miami, Puerto Rico and Panama. Under the theme “Conéctate al Vibe” (“Connect to the Vibe”), this year’s ceremony coincided with the inauguration of the PJ Fest, a weeklong event that included activations for creators and live concerts in Houston, Miami and Los Angeles, before culminating with the live gala in Spain.
During the ceremony, Marc Anthony and Yandel were recognized as “Agents of Change,” an award highlighting their social, artistic and cultural impact. Meanwhile, atists such as Quevedo made their Premios Juventud debut with a medley of hits including “Columbia,” “Al Golpito” and “La Graciosa” alongside Elvis Crespo. Among others, Farruko and Greeicy also took the stage to perform their EDM hit “Yapaque,” which reached No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart in July.
The 2026 Premios Juventud — which celebrate the artists and young changemakers making an impact in music, social media and community service — are being broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión and ViX.
