Tracy Chapman‘s 36-year-old original version of “Fast Car” is coming to radio again.

One of the most beloved moments at the Feb. 4 Grammy Awards was a rare public performance from Chapman, who collaborated with country artist Luke Combs for a duets version of the song. Originally a hit for Chapman in 1988, Combs’ version brought about a chart resurgence of the song last year.

Now, Rhino Records is servicing Chapman’s song to adult alternative, adult contemporary, Americana, classic hits, classic rock, college and non-commercial formats, according to a source. The recording originally came out on Elektra but now falls under Warner Music Group’s catalog division handled by Rhino.

Rhino is also servicing the video of the pair’s Grammy performance and asking radio stations to add the clip to their socials and websites, but there are no plans to make a quality audio version of the clip available to radio.

Following Chapman and Combs’ duet at the Grammys, the original version of “Fast Car” earned 6 million official U.S. streams from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8, marking a 153% rise, according to Luminate. “Fast Car” also earned 35,000 digital downloads, elevating it to the top of the Digital Song Sales chart for the first time.

On Monday (Feb. 5), the day immediately following the Grammys performance, “Fast Car” earned 949,000 official on-demand streams — a 241% increase from the 278,000 it earned the previous Monday (Jan. 29). The song also saw its digital sales surge, rising 38,400% from “a negligible amount to nearly 14,000,” Billboard previously reported on Feb. 7. Combs also saw streams of his version rise 37% to nearly 1.6 million while it was up nearly 3,900% in sales to just over 6,000.

Chapman’s original “Fast Car” also re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 this week, landing at No. 42. Her version had previously appeared on the Hot 100 in October 1988, peaking at No. 6. Combs’ version reached No. 2 on the same chart in 2023.

Nicki Nicole took to social media to seemingly hint at a breakup with Peso Pluma after he is seen with another woman in a viral video. Beyoncé was seen swarmed at New York Fashion Week. Her new country track “Texas Hold ‘Em” has caused a bit of drama after a country radio station in Oklahoma stated they will not be playing the track. Killah B, a co-writer on the track, hinted at a potential Taylor Swift feature on the Bey’s ACT II. Billboard Presents THE STAGE at SXSW will return this year with performances by PARTYNEXTDOOR, Christian Nodal and ILLENIUM. And more!

Nicki Nicole has some words for Peso Pluma, Beyoncé gets bombarded at that Fashion Week. We announced this year’s South by Southwest headliners at The Stage, and I sit down with the one and only Ziggy Marley. Happy Valentines Day, it’s Wednesday, February 14, I’m Tetris Kelly for Billboard News and love in the air, especially with the pop queens, Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande are collabing on the “Yes And ?” remix out Friday, can’t wait for that. But unfortunately we do have to start today’s show off in a not so Valentine’s Day way. Nicki Nicole calls out Peso Pluma after he’s seen in Vegas with another woman.

Tetris Kelly
That Grammy moment where Peso and Nicki gushed about each other was just 10 days ago. One week later Peso Pluma was spotted in Vegas for the Super Bowl holding hands with another woman. Well Nicki Nicole saw that viral video too and took to IG to call her man out she said, “When you are not cared for and there’s no respect I don’t stay there. I leave it is with great sorrow that I found out the same way you all did.” Just days before the video surfaced Peso and Nicki were court side at the Lakers and kissing on the Grammys red carpet. Billboard reached out to Peso’s team for comment but have not heard back at time of recording.

Creepy Nuts’ “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” extends its reign over the Billboard Japan Hot 100 to three weeks on the chart released Feb. 14.

The MASHLE season 2 opener saw an increase of about 13.8% in streams from the week before, racking up a whopping 20,118,604 weekly streams and holding at No. 1 for the metric. This figure ranks fourth on the all-time list for weekly streams, following BTS’ “Butter,” YOASOBI’s “Idol” and Official HIGE DANdism’s “Subtitle.” “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” also ruled downloads with 16,450 units, up 26.7%, and karaoke soared 63-32. Overall points for the hip-hop banger have gained 14.5% from the week before.

On the chart tallying the week ending Feb. 11, seven songs in the top 10 stayed in the same position as the week before. tuki.’s “Bansanka” at No. 2 collected 2,218,839 video views (up 1.4%) to rule the metric for the first time, and both downloads and streaming for the poignant ballad remain relatively unchanged.

Then three of the biggest hits of 2023, Ado’s “Show,” YOASOBI’s “Idol” and two songs by Mrs. GREEN APPLE (“Que Sera Sera” and “Nachtmusik”), follow suit.

OWV’s eighth single “BREMEN,” the only top 10 debut this week at No. 9, sold 48,912 CDs in its first week to earn the group its first No. 1 in CD sales and the highest position yet on the Japan Hot 100. The figure is up by about 6.3% over the four-member boy band’s previous single, “Let Go.” The latest track also collected points in radio airplay, coming in at No. 12 for the metric.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.

Ziggy Marley talks in depth about his involvement in the new bio-pic about his father, Bob Marley, ‘One Love,’ how he chose director Renaldo Marcus Green, stars Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch to play his father and mother Bob Marley and Rita Marley, filming the movie in Jamaica and giving back to the community, what he feels his father’s legacy is, his own music career, and more!

Ziggy Marley
You could be in the middle of it, if it ain’t right, we can’t mess with it, we can’t mess with it. We can’t mess with Bob, and we can’t mess with Jamaica. I’m Ziggy Marley, and this is Billboard News.

Tetris Kelly
Hey it’s Tetris with Billboard News and today I have the honor of hanging with Ziggy Marley talking about ‘One Love.’ How are you?

Ziggy Marley
Good man.

Tetris Kelly
Why was now the time to tell your father’s story?

Ziggy Marley
Yeah, it’s more than my father’s story really, like, carry a message with it. So is it, it talks about his life. But I think now is the time for this message of one love to be put into the global view for them, see them in billboards and watch it in a movie, this idea of one love, I think it’s a very important time and we’re in a very significant time in the world, we’re on the edge of something. So you know, the idea of one love is it’s pretty cool to have that out there. Right.

Tetris Kelly
And that is the overarching view of the film, obviously, it’s this one love and your dad’s story. How close were you to that story in the storytelling process?

Ziggy Marley
You know, we were there from the beginning, we were the one who initiated the idea to do the film on behalf of my family. And so it was the first time that we actually took the prerogative to go out and seek partners to do the film with telling the story how, we wanted to tell it, making sure it’s authentic. So we were very, very involved in it from the get go to the end. And the mean, even I mean, things were being changed in the last second scripts, like it was a, it was a community project. And it was just from the first time I’m doing a film project. But from the what we talked about with the guys who have the experience, they were like, this is like we’ve never done this in film before, like up to the last second we changing lines. And it was good. It was a good adventure.

There is an argument to be made that Beyoncé is, in fact, a rapper — look no further than Megan Thee Stallion’s Grammy-winning “Savage” remix for evidence — but she did not make Billboard and Vibe‘s 2023 list of the 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time, despite what a Jeopardy! contestant guessed on Tuesday’s (Feb. 13) episode.

On the episode, there was a full category based on our list, which we co-authored with our sister publication Vibe early last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

To announce the category, Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings said, “And finally, the 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time — chosen not by me, but by Billboard and Vibe.”

The contestants only stumbled on the $200 clue, which read: “She invited us to ‘Come Into My House’ & also deal with the ‘Wrath of My Madness’; we bow down before this Queen.” Nicole incorrectly guessed Beyoncé — she of the Queen Bey nickname bestowed by her loyal Beyhive — but the answer was actually Queen Latifah, who landed at No. 44 on our list. “Different queen,” Jennings quipped after Kat got the right answer.

Below, find the final four remaining clues from the category along with their correct answers — and where those artists landed on our list.

$400 clue: “In 1986 it was ‘6 ‘N the Mornin’’ for him in the studio but in 2000 it was SVU for him on TV.”

Who is Ice-T? The rapper-turned-actor is No. 45 on our list.

$600 clue: “Billboard said he is ‘often cited as hip-hop’s GOAT behind the boards…a lead rapper on…1988’s Straight Outta Compton.’”

Who is Dr. Dre? The N.W.A and solo star is No. 40 on our list.

$800 clue: “Some numbers: 3 years after taking 9 bullets, he had a Billboard 200 No. 1 debut with Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2003.”

Who is 50 Cent? The Eminem signee is No. 17 on our list.

$1,000 clue: “‘Backed by rap’s archetypal hype man in Flavor Flav,’ this Public Enemy leader was a ‘Rebel Without a Pause’ in 1987.”

Who is Chuck D? The activist frontman is No. 34 on our list.

There weren’t any questions about rappers in our top 10 — including Jay-Z, who tops our list — but you can revisit the full countdown here to see where your favorite lands.

In the last month, Jeopardy! has featured a category based on Billboard‘s 500 Best Pop Songs list as well as a full Taylor Swift takeover of every category in a round.

It’s easy to pile up on lipsticks when shopping for new makeup — but with Valentine’s Day on Wednesday (Feb. 14), it’s time to edit your collection. One easy way to get started: stick with specific colors.

In the world of lipsticks, certain colors are considered more iconic than others. Standing the test of time essentially means that no matter what year we happen to be in, that lipstick shade never goes out of style. And red lipstick definitely fits the bill.

Taylor Swift loves a red lip (courtesy of Pat McGrath Labs) and she’s definitely not alone. Red is known as the first lipstick color ever invented, which is probably why it’s become a staple in any lipstick collection. To help you make pick the perfect lipstick, we rounded up a handful of beloved red lipsticks that you need to buy for Valentine’s Day and beyond.

Whether you are new to makeup or are adding to an already-robust collection, check below for a list of classic red lipsticks that range in price from $4 and up.

If you’re looking for an affordable option that will last on your lips, NYX’s Butter Gloss in red velvet is a solid choice. The butter gloss has great coverage and comes in a range of fiery reds, show-stopping pinks and other gorgeous shades.

NARS

A bright, matte lipstick that pops! NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment is available in 18 different colors but we’re especially fond of the “Don’t Stop” — a show-stopping, fire engine red shade that will turn heads wherever you go.

If you’re looking for a something similar to NARS, but slightly cheaper, Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick is a good choice. The $20 liquid lipstick features a matte finish and it’s “super long lasting,” as the customer reviews note.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Hydrating Lipstick boasts a deliciously, rich color with a hydrating formula. Customers are in love with the shade, “Hollywood Vixen” and the lipstick’s easy application. “I adore this red lipstick!! The color is beautiful and it goes on so smoothly! The blue-red color is so flattering and I think it would look perfect on anyone,” reads one customer review.

Amazon shoppers might be obsessed with Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick. The No.1 bestseller has earned over 147,000 customer ratings and 4.4 stars. Most of the customer reviews rave about the long lasting, matte color (the liquid lipstick comes in a bunch of different shades beyond red).

Tainy is not a new face for the Recording Academy. His work has been nominated in the past, and just last year, he won his first Golden Gramophone for his participation on Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, which won best música urbana album.

But this year, the Puerto Rican hitmaker earned his first-ever nomination as a lead artist with his debut album as artist-producer called DATA — a nom he felt was “far-fetched.”

“It’s special. I’ve been working for awhile,” he tells Billboard. “In music, you always see the Grammys like a stamp. … This is my first project. I can’t say it’s overdue because it’s so new. For me, growing up in Puerto Rico, it wasn’t in our goals or in our minds of things we could accomplish. Just seeing the American Grammys seemed so far-fetched. It wasn’t even in my mind, and for it to happen, is not easy to digest and understand  at the moment but I’m blessed to be around all these people who I admire and inspire me in a certain way.” (Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito won the 2024 Grammy, against DATA and Rauw Alejandro’s Saturno.)

DATA laces his unmatched skills, good music taste, and A-list artist friends such as Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel, Julieta Venegas, and more. For Tainy, “it’s super personal.”

“When I started doing music, the people I admired growing up, that’s what they used to do,” he explains. “All these amazing producers would do their own albums and everyone would just hop on and try to do the best track possible. To me, as soon as I became a fan of music and beats, that inspired me so much. I came into the game getting opportunities and working with these artists, and as the genre evolved, those albums didn’t happen anymore. Music changed so much.”

In the latest Billboard News episode, Tainy shares his strongest song on the set, producing Selena Gomez’s first all-Spanish-language project, and helming his very own concert in Puerto Rico’s coveted Coliseo venue.

“I’m still growing, I’m still a student of what I do,” he notes. “There’s a lot of things I want to keep on tapping and trying, just give myself a shot and see what happens.”

Acclaimed Latin producer Tainy talks about receiving his first Grammy nomination for his debut album ‘Data,’ what it’s like to produce for Latin superstars, getting the chance to work with Selena Gomez on her first Spanish-language album ‘Revelación,’ bringing his music to life in a live show at the Coliseum of Puerto Rico and more!

Tainy:
Because of how I grew up and feeling that none of these things that I’ve been able to do were possibilities when I started, you just got to be able to put as much, you know, passion into it. Things will happen.

What’s up, guys? This is Tainy and you’re watching Billboard News.

Tetris Kelly:
Hey, what’s up? It’s Tetris with Billboard News, hanging out with the one the only Tainy. What’s up, my man?

Tainy:
How’s it going, man? All good here.

Tetris Kelly:
Thanks for making your way over from Miami to LA to hang out with us. You’ve had an interesting few months right now.

Tainy:
I’m happy to be here. But yeah, how do you say? It’s been really fun, exciting, different couple of months leading up to it so you know, happy over here.

Tetris Kelly:
Well, the Grammys were a big deal for you this year, your first-ever American Grammy nomination so that’s significant. Tell me how that felt.

Tainy:
I mean, it’s special. I’ve been working for awhile, you know, in music, you always see the Grammys like that’s like the stamp and to be considered, to be alongside so many amazing artists and me putting out my first album, per se, and have it be recognized over here, in certain ways you expect that what you do will be impactful and people will notice it, but it’s not like a done deal. You got to put it out and just see how the world and the universe reacts to it and just to see that nomination over there and for it to be also my first time to be just nominated, have my name around there is just amazing.

Tetris Kelly:
I think that’s what is so special about it because you’re so known as such a prolific producer, but then your very first album as an artist gets a Grammy like, that doesn’t happen to everybody, man.
