Miley Cyrus is set to perform her smash “Flowers” at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 4) at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Billboard has confirmed. Variety was first to report the news. The ceremony will air live on CBS and Paramount+. Surprisingly, this will be the first time Cyrus has performed the song on TV since its release in January 2023.
Sixteen years into her post-Hannah Montana pop career, Cyrus received her first Grammy nominations in “Big Three” categories – album, record and song of the year. Cyrus’ father, Billy Cyrus, has landed two record of the year nominations – for “Achy Breaky Heart” (1992) and as a featured artist on Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (2019). The Cyruses are just the third parent-child pair to each receive record of the year nominations, following Frank Sinatra & Nancy Sinatra and Nat “King” & Natalie Cole.
“Flowers,” which entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 and remained there for eight consecutive weeks, is also nominated for best pop solo performance.
Cyrus co-wrote “Flowers” with Gregory Aldae Hein and Michael Pollack. It appears on Cyrus’ album Endless Summer Vacation, which is also nominated for best pop vocal album.
Also set to perform on the show are Burna Boy, Luke Combs (with Tracy Chapman), Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell (in her first Grammy performance), Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, SZA and U2. Burna Boy is expected to be joined by 21 Savage and Brandy. Mitchell is expected to be joined by Brandi Carlile.
In addition, Stevie Wonder, Fantasia Barrino, Annie Lennox and Jon Batiste will perform in the In Memoriam segment, in which they will honor Tony Bennett, Tina Turner, Sinéad O’Connor and Clarence Avant, respectively.

Shopping for a Valentine’s Day gift for him? Sony’s Marvel Spider-Man 2 PlayStation 5 console is still available at select retailers — and we did some digging to find the best prices.
The limited-edition console is currently sold out at Best Buy, but you can find it online at Amazon and Walmart and resale sites such as StockX.
Sony released the limited-edition Spider-Man PS5 console bundle last fall for $599.99. From what we’ve found online, prices now range from as low as $618.199 at Amazon (for a used console in good condition) to more than $880 on Walmart.com.

Announced last fall, the limited-edition bundle includes Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 video game and a custom PS5 console in black, instead of the standard white colorway, with symbiote tentacles inching closer to the Spider-Man icon. The Spider-Man logo is also featured on the back of the console and on the controller.
“The design was inspired by the in-game symbiote that’s taking over the console and controller, but you can still see some of the underlying red under the tendrils. This represents the various ways players will experience the symbiote takeover in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” Jacinda Chew, senior art director at Insomniac Games, said in a statement on the Sony blog. “It’s a constant push and pull for dominance, whether it’s internal or external and the outcome is not certain.”
Sony also released a Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Console Cover ($64.99) and Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller ($79.99) last year to channel the same look as the limited console and controller.
The PS5 Slim, a smaller version of Sony’s bestselling gaming console, was released last November followed by the PlayStation Portal.

The PS5 Slim Spider-Man 2 bundle is available at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and other retailers. The bundle comes with a Spider-Man video game digital voucher and a slimmer PS5 console with 1TB of storage.
Sony launched its PS5 console during the pandemic in 2020. The company has sold over 40 million consoles since then. According to PlayStation fans, some of the top games include Astro’s Playroom, Bugsnax, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Cult of the Lamb and Deep Space.

Justin Tranter is in the midst of a massive week. The renowned hitmaker is up for the songwriter of the year award at this Sunday’s Grammy Awards and will also host the Premiere Ceremony prior to the 2024 Grammys, live from Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Ahead of Grammys week, Billboard‘s senior music correspondent Katie Bain sat down with Tranter to talk about why the Grammys’ addition of the songwriter award is so important. 2024 marks the second year the songwriter of the year Grammy is being awarded and marks Tranter’s first nomination in the category. (They were previously nominated for song of the year in 2018 for Julia Michaels’ “Issues.”)
Tranter says they found out they were nominated when when they were out walking the dog and suddenly, 300 congratulatory texts came through.
“I think it’s important because we almost always get the short end of the stick in this business,” Tranter says of the Grammys acknowledging songwriters with the new-as-of-last-year songwriters category. “We’re always kind of thought of last; we’re always treated the worst, and I do think it is intentional because we are so powerful, that if we are allowed to recognize our power and flex our power, we would run the industry, and people don’t want that.
“So I think that this award is very important,” they continue, “because it lends visibility to songwriters, and without visibility we have no power, because we live in a world where if you can’t see something, you can’t hear something, it doesn’t exist.”
Tranter also shares stories of working on each of the songs they were nominated for in 2024, including Reneé Rapp‘s “Gemini Moon” (“She was mentioning her moon is in Gemini, and I’m a Gemini…and we Googled and that day the moon was also in gemini…”), Maneskin (“I DM’d them on Instagram when they won Eurovision and said ‘you are the coolest band I’ve seen since my band, we should work together’”), and Miley Cyrus (“we had one day together, and she was in the beginning of a new relationship and was feeling really sexy and fabulous and wanted to write something, in her words, pretty f—ing filthy and sexy”).
Tranter has worked with some the biggest superstars in modern pop music, and says building rapport with artists like Justin Bieber and Cardi B during the writing process is about sharing part of themselves.
“I can’t be afraid to ask slightly more personal questions than you’d usually ask someone you met an hour ago,” Tranter says. “But I think if you ask them with respect and also share at least a little bit about my life, then it feels like we are in this together. And I am very lucky too that I was just born pretty confident, and so I think me being a very femme queer person who is also very confident creates a space that’s [like] ‘if I can be confident in this, then you can be confident in what you’re in, what you’re living through.’”
