Back in February, P!nk stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she and Kelly Clarkson signed a one-of-a-kind soundwave artwork of their song “Broken & Beautiful” to benefit No Kind Hungry.
The piece, made by artist Tim Wakefield, was auctioned for $50,000 to benefit No Kid Hungry, which works to end child hunger in the United States. Wakefield video called into The Kelly Clarkson show on Monday (April 24), where he revealed that he met the woman who generously bought the piece. “To say it was emotional would be an understatement,” he recalled. “One of the best moments of my career.”
Wakefield added that in total, the piece has raised more than $60,000 for the nonprofit. P!nk has been a longtime advocate for the organization, taking part in a number of their projects and events throughout the years. The star is set to be honored as a No Kid Hungry Champion at the Los Angeles No Kid Hungry Dinner on Thursday (April 27). The event, according to a press release, “celebrates the commitment of local leaders who make an impact for kids in need.”
Watch Wakefield announce the exciting news, plus reveal the other charitable projects he has in store, below.

Madonna is going into the archives! The Queen of Pop took to Instagram on Monday (April 24) to share photos of some of her most beloved career looks that she recently rediscovered in her extensive storage space.
“A trip to my archives is always a nostalgic trip down memory lane,” she wrote alongside a series of photos with some of her most iconic throwback pieces of clothing. “If I think about my journey through music over the last 4 decades— how could I not think about all the incredible clothes I got to wear and all the amazing designers I was lucky enough to work with!!”
The slideshow features a number of Jean Paul Gaultier-designed cone bras that Madge famously wore throughout her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. “When I was a little girl I remember my mother was always cold. Partly because she was sick but also because she never had a coat,” Madonna continued her message. “She always spent what little money we had on our coats and I remember standing outside waiting for the schoolbus With my mother shivering in the cold in the middle of winter!! Years later when I became successful my mother’s sister said to me, ‘Now You can buy all the coats your mother couldn’t buy for herself!’”
The “Vogue” singer continued, “The journey from the memory of my shivering mother in Winter to me shivering in the over air-conditioned storage space where all my costumes are stored is quite remarkable! I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Every time I put on an incredible coat I think of my Mother. I hope she likes my taste in costumes but most of all i hope she’s warm!”
Madonna is less than three months away from kicking of her Celebration Tour, honoring her four decades of hits, on July 15 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

Barbra Streisand, a GOAT, an icon and a legend, turns 81 on Monday (April 24). She has packed a lot into those eight-plus decades. While she isn’t officially an EGOT – she has yet to win a Tony in competition – she has won just about every other award an entertainer can win.
She was nominated for a Tony for her first Broadway show, I Can Get It for You Wholesale, but lost to Phyllis Newman in Subways Are for Sleeping. Streisand won the other three EGOT awards with her first major projects. She won two Grammys for her first album, an Emmy for her first TV special and an Oscar for her first film.

Streisand set a high bar for all who followed. Many of today’s top stars seem well aware of that fact. Beyoncé said, “It’s an honor to sing for you, Miss Streisand,” after singing “The Way We Were” when Streisand received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2008. Ariana Grande said “I love you so much, thank you so much,” following a duet performance of “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)” at a Streisand concert in Chicago in 2019. Madonna did a playful “we’re not worthy” gesture of respect when Streisand surprised her, Mike Myers and Roseanne Barr at the end of a Saturday Night Livesketch in 1992.
Here are 20 times Streisand made awards show history.
May 12, 1964: Won two Grammys, including album of the year (other than classical), for her debut, The Barbra Streisand Album. Streisand was just 22 at the time, making her the youngest album of the year winner to that point. She held that distinction for more than 30 years, until Alanis Morissette won in 1996 at age 21. Billie Eilish, who was just 18 when she won in 2020, is the current record-holder.
Sept. 12, 1965:Won an Emmy for outstanding individual achievement in entertainment for her CBS special My Name Is Barbra. This was back when successfully headlining your own special was a key signifier of stardom.
April 14, 1969: Won an Oscar for best actress for Funny Girl in a historic tie with Katharine Hepburn. It is, to this day, the only time there has been a tie in that category. Streisand couldn’t possibly have foreseen a tie, but she paid Hepburn a gracious compliment: “And I’m very honored to be in such magnificent company as Katharine Hepburn,” she said.
April 19, 1970: Received an honorary Tony Award as star of the decade. With Streisand having won four Grammys, an Emmy and an Oscar by this point, the Tonys sought to make up for her 0-2 track record at that show.
December 1976: Received a Grammy nomination for best classical vocal soloist performance for Classical Barbra. She lost to Beverly Sills’ Music of Victor Herbert, but just to be nominated for such a bold departure was its own reward.
March 28, 1977: Won an Oscar for best original song for “Evergreen (Love Theme From A Star Is Born).” She was the first woman to win for composing a song (as opposed to writing the lyrics). She is, to this day, the only person to win Oscars for both acting and songwriting over the course of a career. “In my wildest dreams I never, never could ever imagine winning an Academy Award for writing a song,” Streisand said on winning the award, which she shared with lyricist Paul Williams. Streisand also performed the song on the telecast – her first performance on the Oscars.
Feb. 23, 1978: Won two Grammys for “Evergreen” – best pop female vocal performance and song of the year. The song won in a tie with “You Light Up My Life.” It is, to this day, the only tie in a Big Four category in Grammy history. But few remember the outcome. Turns out tying Joe Brooks just doesn’t have the same mystique as tying a legendary star like Katharine Hepburn.
Feb. 27, 1980: Streisand and Neil Diamond performed “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” – a record of the year nominee — on the 22nd annual Grammy Awards. There were no special effects, no gimmicks, no flash at all – just two stars coming together on stage. When you have real stars, that’s all you need. The segment was so strong it launched a long series of “Grammy Moments.” Few have had the impact of the original.
Jan. 28, 1984: Became the first woman to win best director at the Golden Globes for her passion project, Yentl. “This award is very meaningful to me,” Streisand said in her acceptance speech. “I’m very proud, because it also represents, I hope, new opportunities for so many talented women to try to make their dreams become realities, as I did.” Streisand has won eight Golden Globes, including their top career-spanning honor, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, in 2000.
December 1986:The Broadway Album was nominated for album of the year. It was Streisand’s sixth nomination in that category. That’s still the record among female artists. (Taylor Swift is up to five.)
Feb. 24, 1987: Won a Grammy for best female pop vocal performance for The BroadwayAlbum. It was her record fifth win in that category. Her competition included such contemporary stars as Madonna and Cyndi Lauper. Her competition when she first won in that category 23 years previously included such stars of that era as Peggy Lee and Eydie Gorme.
Jan. 28, 1992: Received a Directors Guild of America nomination for outstanding directing – feature film for The Prince of Tides. She was just the third female director to be nominated in this category, following Lina Wertmüller (Seven Beauties) and Randa Haines (Children of a Lesser God).
Feb. 19, 1992: Received an Oscar nomination for best picture as a co-producer of The Prince of Tides. Two of her earlier films, Funny Girl and Hello, Dolly!, were also nominated for best picture, but Streisand didn’t produce those films.
Sept. 10, 1995: Won two Emmys for her HBO special Barbra Streisand the Concert — outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program and outstanding variety, music or comedy special. She shared the latter award with her co-producers Martin Erlichman, Dwight Hemion and Gary Smith.
1998: “People” was voted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. It was her first of four inductions, followed by the Funny Girl Broadway cast album (2004), The Barbra Streisand Album (2006) and “The Way We Were” (2008).
Feb. 22, 2001: Received the AFI Life Achievement Award. Streisand was the fifth woman to receive the award, following Bette Davis, Lillian Gish, Barbara Stanwyck and Elizabeth Taylor.
Nov. 4, 2001: Sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” in a surprise appearance at the close of the Emmy Awards, to honor the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks less than two months earlier. She also won her fourth Emmy (outstanding individual performance in a variety or music program) for her Fox special Barbra Streisand: Timeless. Streisand has won more Grammys than Emmys (eight to four), but has a longer span of wins at the Emmys (36 years, vs. 23 years at the Grammys).
Dec. 6, 2008: Received the Kennedy Center Honors. Queen Latifah, Beyoncé, Ne-Yo, Kelli O’Hara and Nathan Gunn sang songs associated with her in tribute. Streisand has received two other top American honors. In 2000, President Clinton presented her with the National Medal of Arts, the highest honor given for achievement in the arts. In 2015, President Obama presented her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the U.S.’ highest civilian award.
Feb. 11, 2011: Received the MusiCares person of the year award. She had received a Grammy Legend Award from the Recording Academy in 1992 and a lifetime achievement award in 1995. Aretha Franklin is the only other female artist to receive all three of these honors. Two nights later, Streisand sang “Evergreen” on the Grammys – her first solo performance on that show.
March 29, 2017: Her album People was inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress. The album topped the Billboard 200 for five weeks in October and November 1964. It was her first of 11 No. 1 albums.

Bennett, who memorably duetted with the Broadway legend on their joint cover of “Smile,” started his birthday tribute with a quote by Babs herself. “‘Life’s too short. Start with dessert!’ – @BarbraStreisand,” the crooner wrote alongside a smiling photo of the pair. “Wishing the fabulous Barbra Streisand a Happy Birthday! Coincidentally, on the same day she turned 81, Adele and James Corden paid tribute to the original Funny Girl star by belting out her rendition of “Don’t Rain on My Parade” in the very last segment of Carpool Karaoke before Corden exits The Late Late Show after eight years as host this week.
In February, the Oscar winner was awarded the 2023 Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Woman of Leadership Award, which she received just days ago in a ceremony on Earth Day (April 22) held at the Library of Congress.

Agust D aka Suga‘s D-Day has topped this week’s new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (April 21) on Billboard, choosing the BTS member’s latest project as their favorite new music release of the past week.
D-Day brought in more than 49% of the vote, beating out new music from Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny, The Weeknd and Future and more.
Upon dropping the lead single earlier this month, Sugar told Billboard he was “actually a little bit worried” about the return to his solo moniker. “‘People Pt.2’ was made thinking about how people will receive Agust D’s music, which is why we also featured [his former collaborator] IU. It’s kind of a trial to release this music under the name Agust D,” he said.
Trailing behind D-Day on the poll is Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny’s “un x100to,” with 21% of the vote, and The Weeknd and Future’s “Double Fantasy,” with 17%.

At a concert Friday night (April 20) in Knoxville, Tennessee, Lizzo filled the stage with drag queens in a glittery protest against the state’s legislation designed to restrict drag performances in public.
In February, Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed the legislation against “adult cabaret” in public or in front of minors. A federal judge temporarily blocked the law in late March, saying it was too vaguely written. Civil rights groups have criticized the law as a violation of free speech.
“In light of recent and tragic events and current events, I was told by people on the internet, ‘Cancel your shows in Tennessee,’ ‘Don’t go to Tennessee,’” Lizzo said during the Friday concert. “Their reason was valid, but why would I not come to the people who need to hear this message the most?”
“Why would I not create a safe space in Tennessee where we can celebrate drag entertainers and celebrate our differences?” added Lizzo.
Spectators at Disneyland’s popular “Fantasmic!” show got a shock this weekend when the feature’s fire-breathing animatronic dragon suddenly burst into flames.
No injuries were reported following the blaze Saturday night (April 22) at the Southern California theme park, the Anaheim Fire Department said.
Ryan Laux, a frequent Disneyland visitor, said fire has always been a part of the “Fantasmic!” presentation. But he said he knew something was awry when when flames didn’t come from where they usually do.
“The head started going on fire instead of the fire projecting out,” said Laux, who lives in Los Angeles and captured the blaze on video.
The show was stopped almost immediately “and then right after that, the dragon started catching fire and the whole body was up in flames,” he told The Associated Press on Sunday.
The show takes place nightly near the park’s famous Tom Sawyer Island. The climax features Mickey Mouse battling a giant dragon named Maleficent.
Laux said Mickey vanished from the stage as soon as the dragon’s head became engulfed in flames.
The extent of the damage wasn’t immediately known.

Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time spends a seventh consecutive and total week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated April 29). The set earned 166,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 20 (down 1%) in the United States, according to Luminate.
In the last 10 years, only two acts – Wallen and Taylor Swift – have had multiple albums with at least seven weeks at No. 1 each. Wallen has done so with One Thing at a Time and his previous release, Dangerous: The Double Album, which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 in 2021. Swift did it with Folklore (eight weeks in 2020) and 1989 (11 weeks in 2014-15).
Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, Metallica blasts in at No. 2 with its new studio album, 72 Seasons. The set debuts with 146,000 units earned – achieving the largest week, by units, for any rock or hard rock album in over three-and-a-half years. It also marks the band’s 12th top 10 charting album – of which eight have reached the top two. 72 Seasonsmarks the band’s first original album in seven years.
Plus, Taylor Swift’s 2019 album Lover ranks in the Billboard 200’s top 10 for the first time in over three years, climbing 12-9.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new April 29, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on April 25. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.
Of One Thing at a Time’s 166,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 20, SEA units comprise 151,000 (down 5%, equaling 201.71 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 36 songs), album sales comprise 12,000 (up 102% following the release of a new vinyl edition of the set) and TEA units comprise 3,000 (up 7%).
Metallica’s new studio album 72 Seasons starts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, scoring the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band its 12th top 10-charting effort. The set opens with 146,000 equivalent album units earned – the biggest week for any rock or hard rock album since Tool’s Fear Inoculum arrived with 270,000 equivalent album units at No. 1 (Sept. 14, 2019-dated chart). (Rock and hard rock albums are defined as those that have hit or are eligible to chart on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums chart.)
Of 72 Seasons’ 146,000 units earned, album sales comprise 134,000 — it’s the top-selling album of the week, and it bows with the biggest sales week for any rock or hard rock album since Fear Inoculum’s debut with 248,000 sold, SEA units comprise 11,500 (equaling 15.91 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 12 songs) and TEA units comprise 500.
72 Seasons was led by the single “Lux Æterna,” which racked up 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart – tying the band’s cover of “Turn the Page” (1998-99) for its longest ruler atop the list. The album’s title track rose 8-6 on the most recently published Mainstream Rock Airplay chart (dated April 29), and marks the group’s 26th top 10-charting song on the tally.
SZA’s chart-topping SOS rises 4-3 on the Billboard 200 with 66,000 equivalent album units (up 9%), Taylor Swift’s former No. 1 Midnights falls 3-4 (60,000; up 1%) and Wallen’s former leader Dangerous: The Double Album rises 6-5 (49,000; up 3%). Luke Combs’ Gettin’ Old bumps 7-6 (43,000; down 7%), Metro Boomin’ chart-topping Heroes & Villains goes up 9-7 (37,000; up 1%) and Bad Bunny’s former No. 1 Un Verano Sin Ti steps 10-8 (36,000; up 5%).
Taylor Swift’s chart-topping Lover rises 12-9 (34,000; up 4%) – marking the first week in the top 10 for the set, which debuted at No. 1 in September 2019, in over three years – since the chart dated Feb. 22, 2020. The album has been bumping around the top 20 of the Billboard 200 in the last month, since Swift’s The Eras Tour launched on March 17. It’s moved 35-13-16-15-12-9 in the last six weeks.
Melanie Martinez’s Portals rounds out the top 10 of the Billboard 200, falling 5-10 with 33,000 (down 31%).
