Now, we have a full new album from Drake and a release date (July 29) for Beyoncé, as well as the first taste of her project in lead single “Break My Soul.”
And in a further coincidence, both Drizzy and Bey have taken their sounds in a decidedly dancey direction, with Drake teaming up with some unexpected electronic artists for the project and Beyoncé reuniting with queen of bounce Big Freedia on her house-inspired new song.
On the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith are talking all about the left-field releases from these A-list artists and what we think about their dance-floor moves.
Also on the show, we’ve got chart news on how BTS score their sixth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with the retrospective compilation Proof — just as the South Korean pop group announced they were going on a break to pursue solo projects. Plus, Joji charts his first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with “Glimpse of Us,” while Carrie Underwood keeps up her streak on the Billboard 200, as her latest effort, Denim & Rhinestones, marks her 10th consecutive top 10 album.

Good news, Meghan Trainor fans. The star’s upcoming single “Bad For Me” with Teddy Swims is on its way.
Trainor took to social media on Tuesday (June 21) to reveal that the song will be arriving on Friday (June 24). She shared the news along with the cover art, which features the musical collaborators in enchanting green outfits, sitting among a floral landscape at sunset.

When teasing the song on TikTok, fans got a taste of the lyrics that capture an addiction to a toxic relationship. “Please don’t make promises that you can’t keep / Your best intentions end up hurting me / No matter what I love you endlessly.”
Trainor released her latest album, Treat Myself, in January 2020. “I’ve heard weird opinions from everyone [about what the album should be], so I kept writing the best songs I could,” she told Billboard of the album. “Every time I accomplished a new step in my songwriting world, my brain would go, ‘Uh-oh, the rest of the album needs to be this good.’ And finally I got to a place where my label and I were like, ‘Okay, I can’t beat these songs.’ ”
“I wanted respect from other musicians, I didn’t care if radio would play it or not,” she said of tracks like “Wave.”
Offset treated three-year-old Kulture to some fun father-daughter time at a waterpark, according to a video his wife Cardi B shared on her Instagram Story over the weekend, and the clip has since been circulating around social media.
In the heartwarming video, the Migos rapper is seen holding his smiling daughter’s hand as they slide down a waterslide together. Kulture instantly starts squealing with joy when they make it to the bottom, and the duo burst into an adorable dance.
For Father’s Day, Cardi and the couple’s kids, Kulture and Wave, brought the Migos MC breakfast in bed on Sunday (June 19) as he was swarmed by four of his five offspring.
They brought in a tray piled high with a breakfast fit for a king, with bacon, pancakes, eggs, pastries, potatoes, sausage, chicken and a big pile of fruit.
In fan-captured video from Cardi’s Insta Story, a surprised-looking Offset marvels at the big plate in front of him but it’s unclear if he even got a chance to dig in, since the clip then cuts to him leading the kids down the steps to the front hallway of the couple’s mansion, which is festooned with a giant Father’s Day balloon display.

Luke Combs celebrated Father’s Day by becoming a dad, as he and wife Nicole welcomed their son Tex Lawrence Combs into the world.
“Welp he decided that Fathers Day would be a good time to show up,” Combs posted on Facebook. “I couldn’t agree more. Me and @nicolejcombs are over the moon in love with this little guy. Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good. Everyone welcome Tex Lawrence Combs to the world!”
Nicole also shared the good news on Instagram, along with a photo of the couple and their newborn child.
“It’s going to be hard to top this past Father’s Day,” she posted. “Welcome to the world, Tex Lawrence Combs. You are the best chillest angel boy and I’m so happy I was chosen to be your mom. These are the days.”
Combs commented on his wife’s Instagram post, saying, “You crushed it my love!”
The couple wed during a beachside ceremony in Florida in August 2020. The couple became engaged in 2018, after two years of dating.
“Yesterday was the best day of my life. I got to marry my best friend. I love you @nicohocking, here’s to forever,” Combs posted on Instagram after the ceremony.
Combs has more to celebrate, as he releases his upcoming album, Growin’ Up, this Friday. He’s already released a string of songs from the album, including “Doin’ This” and his latest, “The Kind of Love We Make.” The album also includes a collaboration with Miranda Lambert on the song “Outrunnin’ Your Memory.”
