Nas Gifting Fans With Surprise Album ‘Magic’ Ahead of Christmas

Nas will be dropping a brand new album just in time for Christmas.

The legendary rapper took to social media on Thursday (Dec. 23) to announce the details of his forthcoming album, Magic, which is scheduled to drop at midnight on Christmas Eve through Mass Appeal Records.

“MAGIC is in the air. Midnight et brand new music to vibe to,” Nas wrote on Instagram alongside cover art for the new project.

Produced by by Nas’ longtime collaborator Hit-Boy, the nine-track album features guest spots by A$AP Rocky and DJ Premier on the track “Wave Gods.”

Over the summer, Nas dropped the album King’s Disease II, his follow-up to 2020’s King’s Disease. The original album earned the hip-hop icon his first Grammy Award for best rap album, and it peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

Earlier this year, Nas also celebrated the 25th anniversary of his sophomore studio album, It Was Written. Since dropping his 1994 debut, Illmatic, he has released 25 Billboard Hot 100 tracks, including two top 10 hits. His albums I am…, Hip-Hop Is Dead, Life Is Good and Untitled each peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Greeicy & Mike Bahia Are Expecting Their First Baby: Watch the Sweet Video Reveal

Congratulations are in order for Greeicy and Mike Bahia, who revealed that they are expecting their first baby together.

The Colombian power couple shared the exciting news on Thursday morning (Dec. 23) through a new collaboration called “Att: Amor.” “Whenever there’s love, we’ll be witnesses of the most beautiful creation,” the heartfelt chorus says.

In the music video, we see Mike rushing to make his way home just in time for the holidays, where Greeicy later receives him with arms wide open. Towards the ending of the clip, the camera pans down to reveal the singer’s baby bump and finalizes with a lullaby sounding in the background.

“This represents an opportunity to learn, grow, transcend and become children again,” Greeicy expressed in an official statement. “Every time we see children and parents, we realize how rich the experience of being a parent will be because children come to remind you of what it is to be a child.”

Additionally, the couple revealed that they will be going on tour together with a set of confirmed dates starting in spring 2022 in Colombia.

The exciting baby news comes just two months after Bahia proposed marriage to Greeicy during Alejandro Sanz’s concert in Miami on Oct. 16. While she was onstage singing her duet with the Spanish singer, Bahia pretended to be one of the guitar players but later revealed his identity as he knelt down on one knee behind Greeicy. They sealed the deal with a beautiful ring decorated with red and blue stones.

Mariah Carey Celebrates ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ Hitting 1 Billion Streams on Spotify

Mariah Carey hit yet another extra-festive milestone Wednesday (Dec. 22) as she celebrated “All I Want for Christmas is You” reaching a whopping 1 billion streams on Spotify. Yes, that’s billion, dahlings.

Ever the trailblazer, the unprecedented achievement officially makes Carey the first artist in history to land the same song at No. 1 on the chart three separate times.

She’s also been spreading holiday cheer around the country for the last couple of weeks thanks to the McDonald’s Mariah Menu, which gives fans a free daily treat with a $1 purchase when they order on the McDonald’s app through Christmas Eve (Dec. 25). Prince’s Estate Is Closer to Being Divided Up by Court Officials

Court officials are edging closer to dividing up pop superstar Prince’s estate.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Wednesday (Dec. 22) that November tax filings show the Internal Revenue Service and Comerica Bank & Trust, the estate administrator, reached an agreement in November on the total value of Prince’s assets.

The specific number hasn’t been disclosed but it could be more than $100 million. The IRS last year determined Prince’s assets were worth $163.2 million. Comerica put the number at $82.3 million. IRS officials felt Comerica’s total was so low they imposed a $6.4 million accuracy penalty on the estate.

The Carver County probate court still must approve the agreement. The court is set to begin discussions in February on how to divide up the assets.

The estate likely will be divided between New York music company Primary Wave and Prince’s three oldest heirs or their families. Primary Wave bought out all or most of the interests of Prince’s three youngest siblings.

Prince died of a fentanyl overdose at his Paisley Park home in Carver County in April 2016. He didn’t have a will.

See, when he crashed Alicia Keys’ interview with Genius‘ Rob Markman, the rap legend insisted that “ain’t nobody” had a chance against him in a head-to-head clash. “There’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage for… I don’t know how long it is. Two hours? Two hours… . That’s ain’t gonna never happen,” he added, squashing fans’ hopes they’d see him on the Verzuz stage one of these days.
