Lily Allen is gearing up for her biggest North American headlining tour to date. The “Nonmonogamummy” singer announced the dates for the nine-stop outing in support of her West End Girl album on Friday morning (Dec. 5), revealing that it is slated to kick off on April 3 in Chicago at The Auditorium, and feature stops in Toronto, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Los Angeles before winding down on April 28 at The Masonic in San Francisco.
Allen will perform the album in full on the tour, in the order the tracks appear on the LP, with tickets for Lily Allen Performs West End Girl slated to kick-off with an artist pre-sale sign-up open now through Monday (Dec. 8) at 11 p.m. ET. The artist pre-sale will then open at 10 a.m. local time on Dec. 10 and runt through 10 p.m. local time on Dec. 11. A general on-sale will then open at 10 a.m. local time on Dec. 12; click here for more ticketing information.
Allen will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on Dec. 13 alongside host Josh O’Connor (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
In addition to hitting the road, Allen announced a most unusual way to enjoy her new album this week in an Instagram post in which she held up a limited edition blue, polka-dotted USB device shaped like a sex toy she mentions in the NSFW song “Pussy Palace.” The $39.99 IFYKYK drive comes with an equally unsubtle warning: “Note: This product is a novelty USB device intended for data storage only.”

Leon Thomas’ Mutt received a Grammy nomination for album of the year at the 68th annual awards, but another “Mutt” got there first. Robert John “Mutt” Lange has been nominated for album of the year three times, as the producer of Shania Twain’s Come on Over and as one of a platoon of producers of Backstreet Boys’ Millennium and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way.

Thomas and Lange have something in common beyond their “Mutt” connection. Both received their first Grammy Awards as songwriters. Thomas won best R&B song in 2024 for co-writing SZA’s “Snooze.” Lange won best song written specifically for a motion picture or for television in 1992 for co-writing Bryan Adams’ “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Lange has since won four more Grammys – best country album for producing Twain’s The Woman in Me, best country song for co-writing (with Twain) her smashes ‘You’re Still the One” and “Come on Over” and best rock album co-producing Muse’s Drones with the band. Lange and Twain met at Nashville’s Fan Fair in June 1993. They were married six months later; separated in 2008 and divorced in 2010.
Thomas has six Grammy nominations this year, including best new artist, best R&B album for Mutt and best R&B performance for “Mutt (Live from NPR’s Tiny Desk).”
Final-round Grammy voting begins one week from today – on Friday Dec. 12 and continues until Jan. 5. The 68th annual Grammy Awards will be presented on Feb. 2 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Below, we’re dropping the top 10 of the 2025 Top Dance Albums and Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts. The former is led by Charli xcx‘s brat, for a second straight year, while Marshmello and Kane Brown‘s “Miles On It” crowns the latter after finishing at No. 2 in 2024.
Charli xcx’s brat debuted at No. 1 on the weekly Top Dance Albums chart dated June 22, 2024, and was No. 1 nearly every week through March of 2025 (well into the 2025 chart-year, which spanned Oct. 26, 2024, through Oct. 18, 2025). “Miles On It” debuted on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at No. 1 on the May 18, 2024-dated chart, and never ranked lower than No. 2 through the end of the 2025 chart year.
For the top 10 of both lists, scroll below. The full depth of both rankings (beyond the top 10 of each) will be posted Tuesday alongside the complete menu of Billboard’s 2025 year-end charts.
Billboard’s year-end music charts represent aggregated metrics for each artist, title, label and music contributor on the weekly charts from Oct. 26, 2024, through Oct. 18, 2025. Rankings for Luminate-based recaps reflect equivalent album units, airplay, sales or streaming during the weeks that the entries appeared on a respective chart during the tracking year. Any activity registered before or after a title’s chart run isn’t considered in these rankings. That methodology detail, and the October-October time period, account for some of the difference between these lists and the calendar-year recaps that are independently compiled by Luminate.
The 2026 Golden Globe nominations will be announced bright and early Monday morning (Dec. 8), which means we’ll soon have answers to some of this year’s top award show questions:
Will Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande be nominated for their roles in Wicked: For Good? Both received Golden Globe (and Oscar) nominations for their work in the first Wicked film.
Will KPop Demon Hunters be nominated for best animated feature film and for the relatively new cinematic and boxoffice achievement award? And will the film’s biggest hit, “Golden,” be nominated for best original song?

LISA of BLACKPINK has scored her next big acting gig. According to Variety, the K-pop superstar will appear alongside Korean action veteran Don Lee (Train to Busan, Eternals) and Squid Game star Lee Jin-uk in an expansion of Netflix’s Extraction film franchise titled Tygo.
The movie is based on an original graphic novel created by sibling duo Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame) and Ande Parks, with the Russo brothers also signed on as producers. The story follows Tygo (Lee), a former child-soldier-turned-mercenary who goes on a revenge mission through the Korean criminal underworld after a job goes sideways.
“I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors,” Lisa said in a statement about the project that will be directed by Lee Sang-yong (The Roundup). “Being in an action movie has always been a dream of mine, so for my film debut to be such an exciting project feels very special.”
Lee was also excited to sign on, saying, “I’m thrilled that this project, which I’ve been developing for years with AGBO, is finally moving into production. Tygo brings a distinctly Korean identity into the global Extraction universe. We can’t wait to unleash its explosive energy on audiences worldwide.” Jin-uk added, “As a fan of the ‘Extraction’ franchise, it’s a great honor for me to join this universe. I’m especially excited and grateful to be working with Don, whom I’ve always admired, and with Lisa as well.”
Lisa (credited by her given name Lalisa Manobal) made her acting debut in this year’s third season of The White Lotus.
The first Extraction film in the franchise was been seen by 90 million households in its first four weeks, with the second chapter hanging around at No. 1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 movies list for seven weeks, racking up more than 123 million views, according to Variety.

Republic Records and Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Freddy Wexler have jointly signed JYT (Just Your Type), a new boy band that will be the subject of a multi-part docuseries documenting their formation, it was announced Friday (Dec. 5).
Composed of five members aged 15-17 — Caden, Tyler, Bryan, Recker and Toby — JYT was formed through an unusual process that saw the members choose each other, a press release states. The group has spent the last year in “intensive development” in Los Angeles, training with choreographers led by Nick DeMoura, who has worked with stars including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Usher and Megan Thee Stallion. DeMoura choreographed JYT’s first visual project — the video for their debut single “What U Want,” released on Friday (Dec. 5).

“From the moment these five kids stood in a room together, I knew we had something special,” said Wexler, who has written and produced for artists including Selena Gomez, Shakira, Halsey, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. “JYT isn’t a manufactured boy band, they chose each other. I’m thrilled to be partnering with Monte and the incredible team at Republic, with whom I’ve shared some of the most pivotal moments of my career. America hasn’t launched a global boy band in decades, and these kids are about to change that.”
“My first interaction with Freddy was nearly 20 years ago when I tried unsuccessfully two separate times to sign him to a record deal,” added REPUBLIC founder and chairman Monte Lipman in a statement. “Two decades later, I’m proud to call Freddy an extraordinary partner as producer, label head, and creative force; as we launch an explosive new band together via his label Wexler Records / Republic Records. In the spirit of never say never, we finally found a way to be in the Freddy Wexler business after all these years.”
Added DeMoura, “When I first saw JYT dance, I felt the same fire that made NSYNC a movement, not just a band. These kids train like athletes, perform like veterans, and have the potential to be this generation’s defining boy band…which is exactly why I wanted to be part of this.”
According to the release, JYT has racked up more than 500,000 followers across platforms before releasing any music.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been together for more than two years, but on Thursday (Dec. 4) the couple celebrated a major milestone: their first Christmas as a married couple. The singer and producer/songwriter, who got married on Sept. 27, posted a series of cute photos and videos on Instagram in which they trim their Christmas tree and share a sweet kiss in between hanging ornaments.
“Our first Christmas as a married couple,” Gomez, 33, wrote in the post. In the first, time lapse video, they are sitting on the floor picking out ornaments, with Gomez dressed in a grey holiday sweater and white short shorts and Blanco, 37, rocking a brown-on-brown ensemble as they busily get ready and take time out for a quick kiss. The rest of the photos and videos chronicle their holiday cheer, concluding with a tender image in which Blanco is bent over putting a bit of bling on a lower branch as Gomez gently places her hand on his signature head of curly hair.
The couple got married in an intimate ceremony at Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, Calif. in September. And though they looked happy and relaxed, a few weeks later, during her panel at Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women conference in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 15, the Only Murders In the Building star admitted to having irrational fears that she could lose everything she’s worked for, including her relationship with Blanco.
“This is how I work personally, but something great happens in my life, I expect something bad to happen,” Gomez told the audience. “So instead of being present and saying, ‘OK, wow, we’ve done a great thing,’ which I do, I’m always thinking, ‘OK, but this could all go away tomorrow. How can I make sure that doesn’t happen?’”
She added, “I would say that’s my biggest conflict sometimes when wonderful things happen. I got married and then I was sobbing, because I was like, ‘I’m gonna die the next day.’”

Netflix has agreed to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery’s studio and streaming business in a landmark $72 billion deal, uniting two of Hollywood’s most influential entertainment companies. The agreement, announced early Friday, will give Netflix control of Warner Bros.’ film and television assets, including HBO Max and DC Studios, alongside its own dominant streaming platform and original hits such as Stranger Things, Kpop Demon Hunters and Squid Game.
The transaction, structured as a cash-and-stock deal valued at $27.75 per Warner share, places Warner’s enterprise value at approximately $82.7 billion. The deal is expected to close in late 2026, following Warner’s planned spin-off of its Discovery Global cable operations into a separate publicly traded company.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said the merger will combine Warner’s legendary catalog — from classics like Casablanca and Citizen Kane to franchises such as Harry Potter and Friends — with Netflix’s culture-defining originals. “Together, we can give audiences more of what they love and help define the next century of storytelling,” Sarandos said.
Sarandos’ co-CEO Greg Peters highlighted the deal’s potential to broaden Netflix’s global reach and “accelerate our business for decades to come,” while also providing members with more choices, “attracting more fans to our best-in-class streaming service, strengthening the entire entertainment industry and creating more value for shareholders.”
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav called the partnership a union of “two of the greatest storytelling companies in the world,” add, “By coming together with Netflix, we will ensure people everywhere will continue to enjoy the world’s most resonant stories for generations to come.”
Warner Bros. shares climbed nearly 3% in premarket trading, while Netflix and Paramount each slipped more than 2%.
Despite the optimism from executives, the acquisition has sparked industry concerns. Cinema United warned the deal poses “an unprecedented threat to the global exhibition business,” while the Directors Guild flagged “significant concerns” about its impact on creative and competitive dynamics. If it passes regulatory muster, the merger would transform the entertainment industry, creating a powerhouse with unparalleled production capabilities, a vast library of intellectual property, and dominant streaming reach — paving the way for a new era of media consolidation.
