The 2025 Billboard Fan Army Face-Off has entered round 3 – and is really heating up. At noon ET on Monday, July 28, the number of fan armies competing for the 2025 crown was pared down from 32 to 16 after a week of furious fan voting.

Some fan armies won their rounds handily, while other matchups were quite close, with the winning fan armies pulling out last-minute victories. Round 3 of voting runs through Monday, August 4, at noon ET, at which point the Sweet 16 of Round 3 will turn into the Elite 8 of the Quarterfinals.

Vote now to determine which fan army is the strongest.

Ice Cube offered Caitlin Clark the opportunity to play for his BIG3 basketball league before she joined the WNBA in 2024, but that same lucrative $5 million proposal won’t be extend to Angel Reese.

TMZ caught up with Cube at the airport over the weekend, where he detailed why Angel Reese’s potential BIG3 offer would be different because she wouldn’t “have that same impact” for the league.

“She’s a great player,” he said of Reese. “The thing with Caitlin Clark, it was to unlock millions of dollars for the league because of her stardom. What our sponsors were telling us, they didn’t tell us the same about Angel Reese, so I don’t know if we can make that same offer.”

“I don’t think we can make that same offer because it won’t have that same impact to the league,” Cube added. “All business — it ain’t nothing personal.”

Caitlin Clark would’ve just needed to play eight regular-season games and possibly playoffs, but she ultimately went to the WNBA, where she was drafted No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever last year. Her rookie salary isn’t six figures, but per Sportico, she’s netted $11 million in endorsements.

Angel Reese has enjoyed a great sophomore season. She made the WNBA All-Star Game, as the Chicago Sky forward is averaging nearly 14 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. She also launched her own signature shoe with Reebok and debuted the Mebounds pink colorway at the WNBA All-Star game in July. In addition, the 23-year-old LSU alum was tapped to grace the cover of this year’s NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition.

During the off-season, Reese also took part in the three-on-three Unrivaled league launched by her fellow WNBA stars, which saw her collect a bonus check for winning the championship.

As for Cube, the 2025 BIG3 season is in full swing, with the league headed for week eight in Houston on Saturday (Aug. 2).

Demi Lovato‘s return to pop music now has a start date — and it’s coming fast.

After weeks of teasing that she’d be making a comeback in mainstream music with a splashy EDM-infused new single called “Fast,” the superstar has announced that the track will arrive Friday (Aug. 1). The news comes via an Instagram post on Monday (July 28), with Lovato sharing photos from what appears to be a music video shoot and writing, “me when i serve my favorite dish… FAST OUT FRIDAY 8.1.”

On their Story, the hitmaker wrote, “a new era has arrived” and added, “i know i shouldn’t have kept you waiting … but i’m here now.”

Lovato has been getting fans hyped for “Fast” for weeks, sharing snippets of the summery track on social media. Over a punchy electronic beat, the Camp Rock star sings softly on the song, “I wanna go fast/ I wanna go hard/ I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are.”

The song is expected to be just the first piece in Lovato’s pop-music homecoming after they previously disavowed the genre in favor of rock on 2022’s Holy Fvck. Lovato later followed that album up with Revamped, an LP of her past pop hits reimagined as punk bangers.

This year, however, the singer has promised fans a return to form, as teased in a recent Rolling Stone exclusive. The publication reported that Lovato has a “celebratory dance-pop” full-length in the works with producer Zhone, who revealed, “This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music!”

Beyoncé wrapped her Cowboy Carter Tour last night (July 26) with $407.6 million in box office and 1.6 million tickets sold over 32 shows. These are unprecedented numbers and, show-by-show, set a bevy of Boxscore records during its run.

Dating back almost 40 years, all Boxscore data is based on figures reported to Billboard Boxscore from a variety of industry sources. Reporting is voluntary, and some artists, venues, and promoters opt to withhold data from representation on the charts.

The Cowboy Carter Tour consolidated the routing of Beyoncé’s previous tours to just seven American markets, plus London and Paris. In fewer cities, she played more shows, extending to four nights in Atlanta, five in Los Angeles and New York, and six in London. It’s rare for an artist to play so many shows at a single stadium on a single tour, and with more dates, she was able to sell more tickets and push higher grosses.

It all added up to $407.6 million in record speed. At just 32 shows, it’s the shortest tour in history to cross the $400 million threshold – by a country mile. Next up is Beyoncé’s own 2023 Renaissance World Tour at 56 dates, with nearly double the number of shows. Then, there’s The Rolling Stones’ 2017-2021 No Filter Tour (58) and Metallica’s ongoing M72 World Tour (60 so far).

Beyoncé was already all over the Boxscore record books heading into 2025, but her recent box office performance expands her footprint. The list below includes 47 records that she broke, tied or extended via Cowboy Carter Tour.

Methodology note: when totaling Beyoncé’s career-gross at each venue, her headline show grosses are added to 50% of her co-headline grosses, or 33% in the case of her tri-headline tour in 2004 with Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys.

“You have to make people clap for you”—a phrase that remains etched in Nancy Ajram’s memory from her earliest days on stage. It was her father who introduced her to the world of music, arranging weekly performances for the young songstress. But before every appearance, he would gently urge—or perhaps forewarn—her with those words: “You have to make people clap for you and be delighted.” A daunting challenge for a girl under the age of ten; a weighty expectation for such small shoulders. How, she wondered, could she compel the audience to applaud?

With this heartfelt recollection, Nancy opened up to Billboard Arabia, just days after releasing her latest album, Nancy 11. She arrived at the cover shoot and entered a studio encircled by mirrored panels, each capturing a different reflection of her. Stand at a certain angle, and you see two versions of Nancy: one, the mature and contemplative woman shaped by time; the other, the spirited girl who charmed audiences with her sparkle and mischief. She speaks of entering a new chapter in her life, where the artist and the woman finally walk side by side in harmony, delivering messages of self-love and inner peace.

But how did Nancy Ajram ascend to become one of the Arab world’s most celebrated pop stars? And how did her music come to resonate across cultures and continents?

A Star in the Making

To understand Nancy as a woman, artist and mother, one must trace the path back to where it all began. The Arab world first met her as a little girl in a frilly white dress, her wide blue eyes beaming as she sang Zaki Nassif’s “Na’eeli ahla zahra ya farasha na’eeli” with uncontainable zeal. This iconic moment has remained etched in the region’s cultural memory, and though she has often recounted it over the years, it still moves her deeply. It reminds her of the sacrifices she made at a tender age to earn the stardom she enjoys today.

Yet, it wasn’t only her early environment that shaped her path. There’s something far more powerful in her nature, her drive, her instinct, her resilience. Recently, even her tone and manner reveal a personality unwilling to surrender. ‏‏She playfully ‏‏‏‏attributes ‏‏‏‏this to her‏‏‏‏ astrological‏‏ ‏‏sign‏‏‏‏, Taurus, ‏‏‏‏‏‏‏or to the people around her: “They say I’m stubborn,” she laughs, as if uncertain herself. But any reasonable observer would agree. Anyone who has spent an entire life in the music industry must possess fierce determination. And Nancy? She has spent nearly all of hers at the summit.

This grit proved essential when she reached a turning point in her teenage years. After releasing her debut album Mihtagalak at just 15, followed three years later by Sheel Oyounak Anni, Nancy experienced only modest success. It was then that she faced a decision: either chart her own course to true stardom or walk away in pursuit of another calling. “I reached this phase… I wasn’t unknown, but I wasn’t very famous either. I was stuck in-between. And I hate the in-between… I really do!” she says with conviction. “If I’m going to do something, succeed at something, if I set a goal, I have to reach it!”

After the Decision: A Voyage to Global Fame

Then came Ya Salam in 2003, and with it, Nancy Ajram’s meteoric rise. From that point forward, Nancy Ajram became the defining face of Arabic pop. Bathed in spotlights and surrounded by flashing cameras, she welcomed the attention with open arms. Not a single year, or even a few quiet months, has passed without her presence resonating loudly. Her popularity never wavered, not even after marriage and the birth of her three daughters.

Eleven studio albums, two children’s records, relentless media visibility and an unceasing concert circuit. Nancy no longer needs to announce world tours—she simply lives them. She traverses continents year-round, enchanting crowds from East to West.

‏During our conversation, Nancy spoke with genuine excitement about her most recent performance ‏‏at ‏‏‏‏London’s‏‏ legendary ‏‏Royal ‏‏‏‏Albert Hall, one of several appearances on its revered stage. A richly diverse audience greeted her, singing along to every lyric of her beloved anthems. She also beamed with pride when discussing her surprisingly vast fanbase in East Asia, a fact confirmed by streaming platform analytics, with strong followings in countries such as Indonesia and South Korea. She revealed her intention to embark on a world tour soon, one that will bring her directly to these fans.

Hits like “Ah W Noss,” “Ya Tabtab,” “Enta Eih,” “Ala Shanak” and “Fi Hagat,” along with her electrifying global collaboration with Marshmello on “Sah Sah,” have propelled Nancy to international recognition. A few years ago, fans were stunned when none other than Billie Eilish praised Nancy Ajram, crediting her as her gateway to Arabic music. Eilish singled out “Enta Eih” and “Fi Hagat” as particular favorites, describing Nancy’s vocal delivery as “crazy.” In a now-iconic interview, Eilish said: “Arabic songs fall on my ears like melted chocolate (laughs). No, not literally, but I love this song (‘Fi Hagat’), I love the melody, I love the way she sings it.”

When we asked Nancy to reflect on such a powerful endorsement from a global superstar like Billie Eilish, she replied with humility: “I really value her opinion because she’s musically educated and understands music, her and her brother,” referring to Billie’s creative partnership with her brother Finneas. She added: “At the end of the day, she’s Billie Eilish, she has a huge fanbase and is a global star… so of course, I’m thrilled by her opinion.”

The Artist and the Woman, in Harmony

Today, fans admire photographs of Nancy’s three daughters, noting how closely they resemble her as a child. And rightly so, they’ve seen her evolve at every stage, growing up and blossoming before their eyes on television, even during phases that may have felt fleeting or out of her control.

In an unexpected moment during the shoot, we asked Nancy what advice she would offer her younger self. She paused. A silence swept through the studio, as everyone held their breath. Her gaze drifted, searching through distant memories. “Maybe… I could’ve been freer,” she eventually said. Then, thoughtfully, she added: “I could’ve been freer in expressing myself. Sometimes when you express something, it helps you let go of it faster and move beyond it.”

This freedom of self-expression, Nancy Ajram would claim it in the years that followed. And she wouldn’t just claim it for herself; she would pass it on to her three daughters. Through her art, through her voice and through an unwavering commitment to success, even when the price was high.

Tom Cruise doesn’t look back in anger. Despite Liam and Noel Gallagher dissing him once years ago, the actor recently attended one of Oasis‘ reunion concerts in London.

As captured in an Instagram photo posted by Goldie on Saturday (July 26), Cruise joined the British music producer in the stands at Wembley Stadium for Oasis’ first of five performances this month at the famed venue. In the snap, the Top Gun star smiles excitedly and holds up a “hang loose” hand symbol while posing next to Goldie at Friday’s (July 25) show.

Cruise also appears in the background of a clip also posted by Goldie, who dances along to the Gallagher brothers’ set as the action-movie icon cheerfully interacts with fellow concertgoers behind him.

The outing comes nearly two decades after the Oasis siblings made their dislike of Cruise very clear in 2007 documentary Lord Don’t Slow Me Down. In a clip from the tour film, Noel says frankly, “He’s a little f–ker, and he’s not been in one good film in his entire career.”

Liam replied at the time, “I hate Tom Cruise,” calling the actor a “bastard.”

Even so, Cruise was one of thousands of Oasis fans who couldn’t resist coming out to see the band’s first tour in years. The Gallagher siblings had nurtured a bitter sibling feud for about 16 years until August of last year, when they announced that they’d be hitting the road together once again.

“The guns have fallen silent,” Oasis wrote in a statement at the time. “The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Months later, the group’s Live ’25 Tour kicked off July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. Following stops in Manchester, England, and now in London, the bandmates will spend the next four months touring through Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and Latin America — meaning Cruise and other fans will have plenty more opportunities to see Oasis live this year.

LITTLE GOLDEN BOOK

‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’

“The Power of Friendship”

There’s not much known about the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer, except that TV writers and producers Lilla Zuckerman and Nora Zuckerman created the revival series, Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to return as Buffy Summers and Ryan Kiera Armstrong is playing the new vampire slayer.

And since the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer was known for its soundtrack featuring bands from the late ’90s and early 2000s, including Garbage, Guided by Voices, Nerf Herder, The Sundays and others, it’s very likely that the revival series will also have a knack for compiling pop hits from today.

Available on Amazon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Power of Friendship is priced at $5.57.

On Saturday night (July 26), Beyoncé played the last of 32 shows on her Cowboy Carter Tour. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, it grossed $407.6 million and sold 1.6 million tickets, thus making it the highest-grossing country tour in Boxscore history.

The Cowboy Carter Tour follows the pattern established by Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, which broke the same record in R&B when it wrapped with $579.8 million in 2023. Beyoncé is the first woman, and the first American artist (male, female, solo, or group) to wrap two tours over the $400 million mark, joining Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, and Ed Sheeran among all acts.

Dating back almost 40 years, all Boxscore data is based on figures reported to Billboard Boxscore from a variety of industry sources. Reporting is voluntary, and some artists, venues, and promoters opt to withhold data from representation on the charts.

The Renaissance World Tour played 56 shows in 39 cities, blanketing North America and Europe. The Cowboy Carter Tour employed a different strategy, compressing to 32 shows in just nine markets, eight of which were the highest grossing stops on the Renaissance trek. In fewer cities, Beyoncé bulked up her stays, extending to four nights in Atlanta, five in Los Angeles and New York, and six in London. It’s rare to play so many shows at a single stadium on a single tour, so much so that she set or tied venue records for the most sold-out shows at all nine stadiums. Overall, the tour set more than 40 Boxscore records.

More shows inevitably meant more tickets and higher earnings. Beyoncé’s five-night run at East Rutherford, N.J.’s MetLife Stadium (New York area) grossed $70.3 million and sold over 250,000 tickets, becoming not only that venue’s biggest engagement ever, but the highest-grossing reported stadium run on a single tour, ever.

Six nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium brought in $61.6 million and exceeded MetLife in ticket sales with 275,000 between June 5-16. Sales also exceeded 200,000 in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Paris. Grosses surpassed $40 million in Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Due to the relative expanse of the Renaissance World Tour, it remains Beyoncé’s highest grossing and best-selling (2.8 million tickets) tour yet. But by focusing on the best-performing markets on her previous treks, the Cowboy Carter Tour achieved a new career peak. On a per-show basis, Beyoncé’s 2025 dates score the highest average gross ($12.7 million), average attendance (49,900 tickets), and ticket price ($255.36) of her career.

Posting such huge numbers in such quick succession, the Cowboy Carter Tour is the fastest reported tour to $400 million in Boxscore history, getting there in just 32 shows in 90 days. Among the 21 tours that have crossed that milestone, the next-shortest tour is Beyoncé’s own, as the Renaissance World Tour’s 56 dates narrowly beats 58 on The Rolling Stones’ No Filter Tour and 60 on Metallica’s ongoing M72 World Tour.

The tour came in support of Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé’s pivot to country music after she conquered the dance genre on Renaissance. Regarded as the first two acts of a genre-bending trilogy, both albums topped the Billboard 200 and sent their lead singles to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. They each won a Grammy in their respective field, claiming best dance/electronic music album in 2023 and best country album in 2025. Cowboy Carter went one step further, taking home album of the year, securing her record-extending 35th trophy. The only live performance she gave following the album’s release – and before the tour kickoff – was a tour preview that doubled as the halftime show for Netflix’s NFL Christmas day game, dubbed Beyoncé Bowl.

Dating back to 2004’s Verizon Ladies First Tour with Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys, Queen Bey has raked in more than $1.75 billion and sold over 13.2 million tickets over 463 reported shows. That includes the grosses of her six solo headline tours, plus 50% of her co-headline earnings on two tours with Jay-Z (2014, 2018), and one third of the 2004 grosses alongside Elliott and Keys. She is one of the 10 highest grossing acts in Boxscore history and is No. 1 among Black artists and R&B artists.
