Posting photos of Rodrigo gazing out an open door and practicing her guitar while getting her makeup done backstage, Partridge wrote Monday (June 30), “I hope you caught Olivia’s show last night.”
“A truly special performance on such a huge scale,” he continued. “She worked her a– off for it and couldn’t be more deserving of all her success and for the great crowd that was watching. What a moment #glastonberry.”
In the comments, Rodrigo replied, “glastonBERRY ilysm.”
During her festival-closing set on Sunday (June 29), the California native had joked about the way she says the word ‘Glastonbury’ before performing “So American,” a deluxe Guts love song that many fans believe was written about Partridge. “I was falling in love with this boy from London, and as we were getting to know each other, we discovered all of these cross-cultural differences,” she said while on stage in Somerset, England.
Rodrigo added in the moment, “He would make fun of me for pronouncing things very American, like, ‘I’m headlining Glaston-berry!’”
Meanwhile, Partridge watched her perform from the wings, taking videos from backstage of Rodrigo singing “Obsessed” and duetting with guest performer Robert Smith on The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love,” which the Enola Holmes star shared on his Instagram Story. Earlier in the festival, he and Rodrigo attended Pulp’s surprise set together, with fans capturing footage of the singer sitting on her boyfriend’s shoulders while belting along to “Common People.”
The Grammy winner and Partridge have been dating for well over a year at this point. The couple first sparked romance rumors in October 2023 after photos of them looking cozy together in public surfaced online, shortly after which the actor attended Rodrigo’s Jingle Ball set that year.
Last September, the pair finally made their first official appearance as a couple when Rodrigo attended the 2024 Venice Film Festival with Partridge.
Rodrigo was one of a few headliners at this year’s Glastonbury, sharing the bill with The 1975 and Neil Young. Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Charli xcx, Shaboozey, Doechii, Lola Young and dozens more acts also performed across various stages June 27-29.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. Gavin Adcock’s album My Own Worst Enemy is in the top five on Apple Music’s country albums chart, but he’s not too happy that Beyoncé‘s 2024 album, Cowboy Carter, is currently above his own ranking.
In a video of footage from one of Adcock’s recent concerts, the singer-songwriter gave some harsh, unfiltered opinions about the fact that Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter sits at No. 3 on Apple Music’s country albums chart, while his own project follows closely at No. 4. (Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem reigns at No. 1, while Parker McCollum’s self-titled project is at No. 2.)
In the clip, Adcock is discussing the albums that are ahead of his on the chart. “One of them’s Beyoncé — you can tell her we’re coming for her f–kin’ a–,” Adcock said, eliciting roaring cheers from his audience.
“That s–t ain’t country music and it ain’t ever been country music, and it ain’t gonna be country music,” he continued, raising his bottle of alcohol in the air and pointing to the crowd.”
From there, Adcock said, “We’re about to play y’all some Southern f–kin’ rock,” telling his band, “Y’all hit that s–t, boys,” before launching into the next song in his set.
Billboard has reached out to Beyoncé’s rep for comment.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has garnered both praise and criticism since it arrived last year, but also earned several impressive feats. The project won both album of the year and best country album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, while the album’s “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus earned best country duo/group performance. The album also topped the all-genre Billboard 200 for two weeks, marking Beyoncé eighth album to top that chart. Cowboy Carter also stayed at the pinnacle of the Top Country Albums chart for four weeks. The album’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” spent 10 weeks atop the Hot Country Songs chart, though the song didn’t fare as well on the radio-based Country Airplay chart, reaching No. 33.
One of Bey’s admirers includes country icon Dolly Parton, whose hit “Jolene” was covered on the album. “I’m a big fan of Beyonce and very excited that she’s done a country album,” Parton wrote on social media after “Texas Hold ‘Em’s” country chart feat. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single.”
Cowboy Carter featured an array of artists, including Black country music trailblazer Linda Martell, stars including Parton, Willie Nelson, Cyrus and Post Malone, and rising Black country artists including Brittney Spencer, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” hitmaker Shaboozey, Willie Jones, Reyna Roberts, Tiera Kennedy and Tanner Adell.
Meanwhile, Adcock has earned an RIAA-certified platinum single with his track “A Cigarette,” as well as RIAA-certified gold singles with “Four Leaf Clover,” “Run Your Mouth” and “Deep End.” His album My Own Worst Enemy will release in August, bolstered by already-released songs such as “Last One to Know,” “Never Call Again” and “Morning Bail.”
Adcock was arrested on May 21 in Wilson County, Tennessee, and charged with reckless driving, speeding, open container, driver’s license and registration violations. On July 11 and 12, he’ll open two shows on Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem Tour.
Chris Brown has come to T-Pain’s defense while hailing his “Kiss Kiss” collaborator as “one of the GOATs” of his generation a true “pioneer” in the music game.
“Random thought,” Brown wrote while giving Pain his flowers. “[T-Pain] is one of the GOATs of my generation! Giving you your flowers!!! Pioneer. Love you, my brother.”
While Brown claimed it was a “random thought,” plenty of fans connected his praise for T-Pain to his name rising to the top of the mainstream conversation after Drake responded by taking a shot at the “Buy U a Drank” artist.
Last week, T-Pain was critical of Drake for seemingly not taking his own advice when it comes to having a “graceful exit” from the rap game.
“The one thing I learned from Drake, here’s the crazy thing, the one thing I learned from but one thing he hasn’t followed — his own words,” T-Pain told the Crash DummiesPodcast. “Drake said, ‘I want to be one of those people that gracefully bows out and not get kicked out.’”
Drake quickly got wind of T-Pain’s viral comments and claimed that Pain “always had resentment” for him, noting, “you can hear it every time he speaks on my name.”
T-Pain and Brown teamed up for their 2007 smash “Kiss Kiss,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100, and have had a strong bond in the years since.
However, following Brown’s defense of T-Pain, some Breezy fans recalled that Tallahassee Pain was critical of the R&B singer in 2022 surrounding the reception to his Breezy album, which saw Pain label Brown with having a “princess complex.”
“That is my motherf–kin’ n—a, but I know what his faults are. Chris Brown has the princess complex,” Pain told Akademiks at the time. “Now, we gon’ take this to something that is controversial, but — it’s not controversial. … The princess complex is not only when you get what you want, but you get the accolades of a pretty person for doing absolutely f–king nothing and just being pretty.”

K-pop boy band ENHYPEN got into their super hero mode for the action-packed video for their hard-hitting English-language single “Outside.” The hip-hop inspired song from the septet’s latest album, DESIRE: UNLEASH finds HEESEUNG, JAY, JAKE, JUNGWON, NI-KI, SUNGHOON and SUNOO battling against felonious evil of themselves.
Between pitch perfect choreo and a jewelry store heist, the men dance, punch, kick and sprint away from their evil twins, culminating in a Matrix-like slow-motion showdown in the street.
The video directed by Kim Hyunsoo dropped a week after the group earned its third No. 1 album on Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart, moving 95,000 copies of the LP in the U.S. The collection also debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart, giving the group their eighth entry on the chart and fifth top 10 album so far.
ENHYPEN’s sixth mini album — the follow-up to last year’s full length Romance: Untold — is an 8-track collection of buzzing pop tunes produced by Grammy-winner Cirkut (Katy Perry, Lady Gaga).” The EP features the Justin Timberlake-like “Flashover,” as well as the beat-heavy ballad “Bad Desire (With or Without You),” as well as the doo wop-adjacent “Loose,” rocker “Helium” and jazzy ballad “Too Close.”
The group will launch its Walk the Line world tour on Aug. 6 with a kick-off at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, followed by shows in Chicago, two nights in Houston and an Aug. 16 stop at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles before flying over to Europe.

Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Walk the Blue Carpet at ‘Smurfs’ Movie Premiere…
While speaking to Entertainment Tonighton the red carpet for the premiere of Smurfs in Brussels on Saturday (June 28), Rocky appeared to let slip the sex of his third child amid Ri’s pregnancy. When asked whether the baby was “the girl [he’s] been waiting for,” the Harlem native smiled and nodded in response.
“It is man, it is,” Rocky said.
He then played the moment off by holding up a Smurfette plushie, implying that the girl he’d been referring to had actually been the iconic blue character. “Right here, right here!” he said, laughing.
As for becoming a father of three, Rocky told ET, “We’re gonna be like the Wayans Family … love is beautiful, and it’s just spreading it.”
The Smurfs screening in Belgium marked the world premiere of the film, which Rihanna produced in addition to voicing Smurfette and contributing new song “Friend of Mine” to the project. The movie will hit theaters on July 18.
The Fenty mogul first revealed that she was pregnant again at the 2025 Met Gala in May, appearing on the Metropolitan Museum of Art steps in a tailored gown that showed off her bump. She highlighted her belly once again on the Smurfs red carpet by wearing a sheer blue baby-doll top — but when it was her turn to talk to ET at the event, the singer was coy about the sex of Baby No. 3.
“Let’s see if it’s a Smurfette!” she quipped to the outlet. “Could be a Papa Smurf, who knows?”
One thing she did confirm was that the new baby’s name will follow the pattern set by RZA and Riot Rose. “It’s always going to be an ‘R’ name,” Ri said. “That’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over!”
Rihanna has said before that she’d like to add a girl to her family, though she loves being a mom to her boys. The singer welcomed her first child, RZA, in 2022, followed by Riot the next year.
In an interview with Interview Magazine in 2024, she said that she’ll have as many kids “as God wants me to have.”
“I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two,” Ri added at the time. “I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
Watch Rocky and Ri discuss their third baby at the Smurfs premiere below.

On June 4, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., alternative-pop singer-songwriter King Princess sacrificed herself on the altar of live music. Staggering around a small stage at Brooklyn’s Market Hotel and staring into a crowd of awestruck fans, the 26-year-old singer collapsed to the ground as two women dressed in low-cut nurse’s outfits rushed to her position, declared that she had passed away, and carried her off the stage. King Princess was dead; long live King Princess.

Meet the Drag Performers Teaching Everyone How to Fight Back Against Anti-LGBTQ+ Threats…
“Well, I was poisoned,” the singer tells Billboard with a smirk nearly three weeks later. She’s sitting in the corner of Julius’, the historic gay bar in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, sipping on a Paloma and looking back on her very public “death” from earlier in the month.
While there wasn’t actually any poison in her system during the performance, the singer — born Mikaela Straus — thought she might genuinely pass out on stage; a heat wave had hit the city that day, and the inside of the venue was sweltering, thanks in no small part to the hundreds of fans crowded together in the venue.
“I always think of my fans as a producing a lot of body heat in general — it’s like Melissa McCarthy says in Bridesmaids: ‘You feel that steam heat? It’s coming from my undercarriage,’” she says. “I couldn’t believe how sweaty I was. I looked over my band at one point and my bass player’s knees were sweating. How does that even happen? Your knees?”
The reason for Straus’ apparent demise on stage was apparent — she was closing out her Market Hotel with “RIP KP,” the sultry lead single off the singer’s forthcoming third studio album Girl Violence. Throughout the racy new song, Straus croons about a lover who’s so utterly dedicated to showing her a good time that it “could destroy your life.” It’s punchy, it’s dramatic, it’s exactly what fans of King Princess want to hear from their idol.
Straus adds that she wanted the song to herald in the start of a “slutty, slutty gay summer,” which falls in line with her release pattern over the last few years. “It feels like a continuation of ‘Hit the Back,’ of ‘Pussy Is God.’ I always drop a slutty one in the mix,” she says. “Even when we wrote it, I was like, ‘Oh, I hope that this is the first single.’”
The singer adds that she doesn’t want to see her fans fall into “the trap of our addiction to sadness,” especially not in 2025. “We love to be tragic, and I am also a tragic lesbian,” she says. “But I do think that we should be sucking and f–king this summer.”
It’s an important message, especially given the actively hostile political climate the queer community is currently facing. Just during Pride Month, President Trump’s administration announced that it would shutter a section of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ youth; the Supreme Court ruled that Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for minors was constitutional, allowing the law to remain in place; and just a week later, the court also ruled that parents may opt their children out of LGBTQ+-focused lessons in public schools.
At the first mention of the Trump’s name, Straus sighs and grabs her drink off the bar, taking a long sip. “None of this is surprising. These people have literally been detailing this in their plans — which they weirdly deny being their plans — for years. If you read through Project 2025, a lot of this s–t is in there,” she says. “We know these people hate gays, they hate immigrants, and they don’t care about any form of equity in this country. They are hateful.”
But Straus also points to a disconcerting trend she’s noticed amongst the LGBTQ+ community, where members of different communities within the acronym begin turning on and fighting with one another. “Now we’re in-fighting,” she says, especially pointing to queer people turning against the trans community. “We’re picking each other apart because we’re fucking mad, and we’re upset.”
She continues, pointing out that the only way for the community to weather the ongoing animus being levied against it is by banding together. “There is a clear common enemy here. At the moment, it’d be amazing if, as a group, we all just decided that it’s better that we are out and proud and living in this country and dealing with what’s really important,” she says. “We don’t need to come for each other; they are literally doing that work [for us].”
Even as Pride Month comes to a close, the singer points out that community-building is not confined to a 30-day window. Resources are still in short supply for LGBTQ+ organizations around the U.S., and Straus says that if people want to find a way to stop the feelings of disillusionment that permeate our current political consciousness, then the best way to do so is to offer assistance where it’s most needed.

How Queer Country Artists Are Rewriting the Narrative and Increasing Their Impact
“Find your local LGBT center and donate clothing, help facilitate programs within the community, sign up to just be somebody who helps work on the space and organize the space,” she explains. “That’s your immediate community. And that’s the place that kids go when they need help.”
That focus on local community is vital to Straus, especially after she moved back to her hometown of Brooklyn after spending 7 years in Los Angeles. It’s odd, she points out, because while she feels that “everybody kind of wants to leave their hometown for a minute,” she felt the opposite happen while she was away. “The minute I moved back, I just felt embraced by my city and by the people here all over again,” she says. “I think I found my queer community here as an adult in a way that’s really, really beautiful. I love my girls. This is my favorite city in the world; my stinky, poopy rat city.”
The move back to New York also instigated a transition to take place in Straus’ professional life. Not only did King Princess leave Mark Ronson’s Columbia imprint Zelig Records in favor of independence, but she also began exploring the world of acting. Sharing the screen with Nicole Kidman in the second season of Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers proved to be a career highlight, Straus says, and one that helped renew her creative passion.
“I feel like it up my music game. It’s an interesting form of performance, because you really can’t be embarrassed; you have to try stuff,” she explains. “You’re using your body as a tool in a way that’s really precise and on camera, and I think it just dialed me and allowed me to be more silly and more clown-like, and feel less precious.”
With Straus’ acting career is set to continue — her film debut alongside Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson in Song Sung Blue is set to release this coming Christmas — and her new album Girl Violence due out on September 12 via Section1, the singer smiles as she takes another sip of her Paloma. “More art all the time,” she says. “We just need art constantly.”

Singer-songwriter King Princess sits down with Billboard at Julius’ in New York City and opens up about kicking off her “slutty gay summer” by dropping “RIP KP” as the “slutty anthem for lesbians,” her new album, Girl Violence, her acting debut alongside Nicole Kidman in Nine Perfect Strangers, working with Hugh Jackman on “Song Sung Blue,” her opinions on Donald Trump’s administration cutting funding for LGBTQ+ suicide prevention, her thoughts on Love Island USA and more!
Stephen Daw: Hi, everyone. I am Billboard‘s Stephen Daw, and I am joined today by the icon, the legend herself, King Princess. Hi, babe. How are you?
King Princess: Hi.
And we’re here today at Julius’ in the West Village, the oldest gay bar in New York City. How’s life? How’s things?
It’s been pretty good. We’re at the beginning of summer.
Hell yeah.
Kind of feels like the beginning. We went to the- we went to a quarry the other day.
A quarry?
Yeah, we swam.
Ooh, OK, so we’re just diving off cliffs at this point.
I think it’s nice, because it’s like we got out of the city on the first day that it was super, super hot, and like, just smoked blunts by the natural water source.
Love that for you.
Which was great, and it really got me in the mood to now traverse the slutty, slutty gay summer.
Naturally, I love that.
It got me ready.
I have to tell you the start of my slutty gay summer was at your Market Hotel show.
Oh, wow!
That was one of the hottest events — both literally and figuratively — that I’ve been to in a minute.
Did you believe the temperature?
It was truly wild.
I always think of my fans as a producing a lot of body heat in general.
And you’re correct to think that.
The lesbians, it’s what Melissa McCarthy is in Bridesmaids. She’s like, “Feel that steam heat? It’s coming from my undercarriage.”
