Say it is so. Weezer announced on Thursday (Sept. 26) that they are hosting a special two-night screening of a live concert film shot in the midst of the current tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1994 debut, commonly referred to as The Blue Album.
Weezer’s Voyage to the Blue Planet: The Concert Film was filmed at the group’s Sept. 10 show at Boston’s TD Garden — where they played the entire Blue Album and other fan favorites — and it will livestream on Moment.co on Oct. 13 and 14. Fans can buy tickets for $13 through Friday (Sept. 27) at 3 p.m. ET, before the price bumps up to $16, then $18 on day of show.
The Blue period celebration rolls on with an upcoming 30th anniversary edition of the album, which will feature 36 unreleased tracks, due out on Nov. 1. The Super Deluxe edition will sprawl across four LPs, a 10-inch EP and a 7-inch single; a $400 Ultra Limited Edition version will come wrapped in a signed sweater.
In addition to the beloved classics from the original album, including “My Name Is Jonas,” “Buddy Holly,” “Undone – The Sweater Song,” “Say It Ain’t So” and “Holiday,” the second LP features the “Kitchen Tape Demos” with a number of previously unreleased versions of the original songs and other rarities such as “Thief, You’ve taken all that was me,” “Let’s sew our pants together” and “Paperface.” LP three has early versions of the album’s songs, from rehearsal demos to practice and garage takes, while the four LP is packed with early live recordings.
Weezer are currently on the North American portion of their Voyage to the Blue Planet arena tour with guests Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. The next show is tonight at the Moody Center in Austin, TX.

Sabrina Carpenter love the taste of chart victory. The U.S. pop artist and actor leads Australia’s charts once more with “Taste” and Short n’ Sweet, respectively.
When the ARIA Singles Chart was published late Friday, Sept. 27, “Taste” was on top for the fifth straight week, lifting her total number of weeks at No. 1 this year to eight – more than any other artist. The next best is Benson Boone, with six total weeks at the ARIA Chart summit, all clocked up by “Beautiful Things.”
With “Taste” in the lead, the podium is closed out by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” respectively.
Over on the ARIA Albums Chart, Short n’ Sweet logs a fourth non-consecutive week at No. 1, ahead of Katy Perry’s new arrival 143, dropping in No. 2.
That’s Perry’s fifth top 10 album following Teenage Dream (No. 1 for two weeks in 2010), Prism (No. 1 for one week in 2013), Witness (No. 2 in 2017) and her recent LP Smile, which peaked at No. 2 in 2020.
Meanwhile, Keith Urban swings in with High, new at No. 3. The Aussie country star played a surprise gig in his hometown Brisbane, ahead of the release of High, his 11th studio effort. He’ll return in the second-half of 2025 for a major arena jaunt.
A six-time ARIA Award-winner, Urban previously hit No. 1 on the ARIA Chart with The Story So Far (in 2012), Fuse (2013), Ripcord (2016) and The Speed Of Now Part 1 (2020).
Also new to the top tier is homegrown indie band The Rubens, new No. 4 with SODA, their sixth album. SODA is the band’s fifth top 10 appearance after 2012’s self-titled debut (peaking at No.3), 2015’s Hoops (No. 2), 2018’s Lo La Ru (No. 3) and 2021’s 0202 (No. 1 for one week).
The Rubens have collected a brace of ARIA Awards, and in January 2016 won triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown with “Hoops.”

Kylie Minogue is back, and she’s turning up the heat with her brand-new single, “Lights Camera Action,” released today (Sept. 27).
The track is the first single from her highly anticipated upcoming album Tension II, out Oct. 18, via Mushroom Music.
“Lights Camera Action” sees the Australian pop legend dive deeper into the electronic world, continuing the nightclub-inspired sound that made her last album Tension a global hit.
Produced by Lewis Thompson and co-written by Kylie, Thompson, and Ina Wroldsen (the co-writer behind her previous hit, “Padam Padam“), the single is packed with high-energy beats fit for the dance floor.
The track serves as a celebration of all things glamorous, with the accompanying music video—directed by Sophie Muller and shot in Budapest—seeing the pop queen take on multiple iconic roles, from a film star to a photographer. Fans don’t have to wait long to catch the full visual spectacle, with the video set to premiere at 6 AM PT.
Kylie’s upcoming album, Tension II, is shaping up to be a powerhouse sequel to her previous album, with collaborations featuring The Blessed Madonna, Orville Peck, Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo, and Sia.
The release of “Lights Camera Action” sets the stage for the superstar’s next chapter, with the Tension Tour kicking off in her homeland of Australia in February 2025. The tour is poised to be Kylie’s biggest since 2011’s Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour, with tickets going on sale Oct. 2.
This year has already been massive for the icon, who nabbed the Global Icon Award at the BRITs and won a Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording for “Padam Padam.” She also wrapped up her Las Vegas residency and headlined London’s BST Hyde Park to rave reviews.

5 Things We Want From Lady Gaga’s Next Studio Album: Critic’s Take
So when Mother Monster announced earlier this week that she would be dropping a surprise album on Friday (Sept. 27) titled Harlequin, theories began flying around the fandom of what they might get to hear. Some believed that the project would act as a soundtrack to her upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux; some believed the LP would serve as a transitional project akin to her Cheek to Cheek era; more still thought “LG 6.5” might see Gaga return to the dark pop glory of early projects like The Fame Monster and Born This Way.
But now that Harlequin is here (via Lil Monsters LLC & Interscope), we can confidently say that … well, everyone was a little bit right. The new Gaga album is equal parts Joker companion piece and covers of classic showtunes and pop standards, with a pair of original songs Gaga wrote specifically for the album to round the whole thing out. Employing her ever-impressive voice, Gaga manages to take each of these beloved songs and morph them into her own vision for a Harley Quinn-inspired romp.
For those thinking that Harlequin will simply retread the heights of Gaga’s jazz duets with Tony Bennett, fear not; throughout each of the album’s 13 tracks, the singer carefully shapes each song to fit the chaotic musical world of Joker: Folie à Deux. Spanning genres and styles, Gaga manages to turn even some of the most beloved pop classics in American culture into fresh reincarnations.
While we continue to revel in the anarchic delights of this album between albums, here is Billboard‘s preliminary ranking of all 13 songs on Lady Gaga’s Harlequin:
Country superstar Luke Bryan has officially dropped his eighth studio album Mind of a Country Boy, available everywhere today, Sept. 27.
The new release marks Bryan’s return to the album circuit after four years, and fans can expect a collection of 14 tracks that dive deep into the themes of family, music, and the simple country life Bryan embodies.
Reuniting with longtime producers Jeff and Jody Stevens, Mind of a Country Boy offers a mix of reflective ballads and feel-good anthems.
Fans have already gotten a taste of the project with the single “Closing Time in California,” which dropped last month.
“I’ve been able to take my time and really compile songs for this album,” Bryan previously said in a statement.
“If it’s a song that I cut two or three years ago, and I still love it, and it still sounds fresh, then I feel like it’ll stand the test of time.
“I think this album, as I’ve tried to do with all my albums, just has a little bit of everything,” he continued. “I do some things different vocally on this one that I’ve not done before. It’s about each song having its place and having its meaning. It’s trying not to be overly redundant with songs. I think that’s why I’ve been blessed to have a long career and what I feel like this album’s going to do.”
In addition to his headlining shows and his Farm Tour, Bryan is set to continue his role as an American Idol judge (alongside incoming judge, fellow country artist Carrie Underwood), while his Crash My Playa destination concert in Mexico will celebrate its 10th year in 2025 with performances from Jason Aldean, Kane Brown and more.

The track opens with a melodic pinging beat and anthemic sound effects as the Fleetwood Mac frontwoman sings softly, “I have my scars, you have yours/ Don’t let them, take your power.”
As the song intensifies and eventually devolves into an explosive rock n’ roll head-banger, Nicks encourages women to “stand up and take it back” in reference to women’s rights, specifically abortion access. “They’ll take your soul they’ll take your power/ Unless you save it,” she belts. “And that’s that/ Unless you stand up and take it back.”
Nicks also dropped a music video for “The Lighthouse,” which finds her singing passionately inside the lantern room of an actual lighthouse looking out onto stormy seas. It also splices in photos taken from women’s rights marches.
In a statement about the song, Nicks revealed that she “wrote this song a few months after Roe v. Wade was overturned” in June 2022. “It seemed like overnight, people were saying, ‘What can we, as a collective force, do about this…,’” she continued in her note. “For me, it was to write a song.”
“I have often said to myself, ‘This may be the most important thing I ever do,’” Nicks added. “To stand up for the women of the United States and their daughters and granddaughters ~ and the men that love them. This is an anthem.”

On Friday (Sept. 27), Gaga shared Harlequin, her new 13-track album themed after her character Harley Quinn from the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. Brimming with covers of old classics — including reimagined showtunes like “Good Morning” (Singing in the Rain) and “If My Friends Could See Me Now” (Sweet Charity) — Harlequin “celebrates a figure who thrives on danger, who lives for the undefinable, and who embraces the beautiful chaos of her own dreams,” according to a press release.
Harlequin also features two original songs — the dramatic waltz “Folie à Deux” and the fraught acoustic ballad “Happy Mistake” — that play further into the themes of the forthcoming film. The singer confirmed the existence of her new originals during a red carpet interview at the film’s London premiere on Wednesday (Sept. 25), saying that “Happy Mistake” is “for the album only … it’s all this really interesting, original production.”
The new LP was first cryptically teased onbillboards around Los Angeles and New York City as “LG 6.5” or “LG Six.Five.” The temporary title referenced Gaga’s much-discussed seventh studio album — which fans have dubbed “LG7” — and clarified that Harlequin is not the follow-up to 2020’s Chromatica. Gaga has confirmed that the first single from her next album will be dropping in October, while the untitled album is due out in February 2025.

Shania Twain Calls Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ Cover ‘A Huge Compliment…
Wallen won a total of four awards. He was named The People’s Artist for the second year in a row and he also took The Concert Tour for the second year in a row with his long-running One Night at a Time tour. He also won the Social Country Star of 2024 and The Song of 2024 for his featured role on Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help.”
For Wallen, this makes up for last year when he was unexpectedly nosed out as the night’s top winner on the inaugural PCCAs. He won three awards then to Jelly Roll’s four. (That was one of the first indications of the extent of Jelly Roll’s popularity.)
Beyoncé, who was one of this year’s leading nominees, was shut out. Bey was also shut out in the recently announced Country Music Association nominations. Country awards shows seem to prefer to reward artists who are in it for the long haul, rather than giving their prizes to artists, however talented and versatile, who are seen as just visiting the genre.
Luke Combs took three awards – The Album of 2024 for Fathers & Son and the Male Artist of 2024 and The Male Song of 2024 for “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,” his hit from Twisters: The Album. (At the rate it’s going, the song, which he co-wrote with Jessi Alexander and Jonathan Singleton, could be an Oscar contender for best original song.)
Shaboozey won The New Artist of 2024. Jelly Roll won in that category last year. He went on to win the CMA Award for new artist of the year and to land a Grammy nomination for best new artist. Shaboozey has a good chance to equal those feats.
Shaboozey also won The New Artist Song of 2024 for his megahit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which is now in its 11th week at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. (Here it must be said that the PCCA has too many categories, and too many similar-sounding categories. It’s confusing. They should consider streamlining their awards structure.)
Among the artists Shaboozey beat in both new artist categories was Dasha, who later won The Female Song award for “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’).” The song was a big crossover hit – it reached No. 3 on Hot Country Songs and No. 18 on the Hot 100. Still, it beat heavy competition to win that award, including songs by Wilson, Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves and two songs by Beyoncé (which may have split Bey’s vote).
“Lonely Road” by MGK featuring Jelly Roll won the crossover song award. The hit interpolates John Denver’s 1971 classic “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” MGK’s “Sun to Me,” written by Zach Bryan, won as The Cover Song of 2024.
Lainey Wilson took the award for The Female Artist for the second year in a row. Dan + Shay won The Group/Duo award, also for the second year in a row. But Old Dominion’s “Different About You” won the Group/Duo Song award, beating Dan + Shay’s “For the Both of Us.” (See what we mean about too many similar-sounding categories?)
Shania Twain hosted the show. The crossover star was nominated for The Concert Tour of 2024 for Shania Twain: Come on Over – The Las Vegas Residency – All the Hits!, but lost to Wallen.
Winners are chosen entirely by the fans, leading the show to bill itself as “an award show for the people and by the people.” The eligibility period for this year’s show was Aug. 12, 2023, to Aug. 9, 2024.
The People’s Choice Country Awards were produced by Den of Thieves. Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager and Barb Bialkowski executive produced, along with RAC Clark as executive producer and showrunner.

The 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, which aired Thursday night (Sept. 26) on NBC and Peacock, once again honored many of country music’s top talents. Shania Twain hosted the two-hour show, which was held at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House.
Now in its second year, the fan-voted People’s Choice Country Awards saw Morgan Wallen taking home the top honor of The People’s Artist (along with wins in three other categories), while other winners included Shaboozey taking home new artist of 2024, Luke Combs winning male artist of 2024 and the album of 2024 (Fathers & Sons), Lainey Wilson winning female artist of 2024, Dasha taking home female song of the year, and the Post Malone/Wallen collaboration “I Had Some Help” being named the song of 2024. Cody Johnson’s “Dirt Cheap” took home the prize in one of the evening’s more unique categories, the storyteller song.
Other top moments included Miranda Lambert being honored as the country icon for her decades of exemplary, heartfelt music, and her multi-faceted career as a singer, songwriter, entertainer, author, and business leader. Lambert just released her latest album, Postcards from Texas, which debuted in the top 10 on Billboard’s top country albums chart.
Kane Brown was celebrated as country champion, for his work in supporting younger generations. Brown has been a longtime supporter for The Boys & Girls Club, and earlier this year, he donated a new music studio space to a Texas location of the Boys & Girls Club of America. He was honored with the organization’s champion of youth award in 2022.
As with most awards shows, some of the most talked about moments came from the slate of performances. Each artist turned in a top-notch performance, though inevitably, some shone brighter than others.
Below, we rank all the performances from the evening:
