Ariana Grande has her fans on her mind!

The pop superstar recently opened up about touring plans amid her busy schedule balancing music, filming Wicked and working on her makeup line, R.E.M. Beauty.

“It’s something we are trying to figure out because I have to spread my focus quite thin these days but it’s something really important to me that I figure out because I love and miss my fans so much,”

It’s been an exciting year for Grande, who stars as Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, which is set to arrive in November.

After several weeks of tinkering in the studio, Eternal Sunshine arrived March 8. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and stayed in the top spot for two weeks, led by the Hot 100-topping “Yes, And?”

And though she’s still busy with Wicked press obligations and her R.E.M. Beauty business, Grande has managed to keep the album era running strong. Most recently, she dropped a music video for “The Boy Is Mine” starring Penn Badgley, shortly after which she recruited icons Brandy and Monica for an all-star remix of the track.

“i cannot wait for everything that has yet to come within this eternal sunshine cycle (that has only just begun & may it never end),” she teased back in April. “thank you for your love.”

The Kid LAROI takes Billboard behind the scenes of his LA tour stop. The Australian star shares how he preps before taking the stage, his appreciation for his fans, a moment with Akon and more!

The Kid LAROI:

I’m so f—ing tired, I’m sorry, I feel like I’m giving you guys absolutely nothing. Hey baby! We’re at The Torch Coliseum, pretty crazy how you talk to people. Came a long way. This is just, I don’t know who this is for. I’m in that one, right? Yeah, it takes me a second to like warm up with meeting new people. I feel like me and [photographer] Adam [Kargenian] have been working on it for years. Well, we just got to a point like a year ago. Adam like is fully in the studio and like I can’t even notice him.

Adam Kargenian:

Him trusting me and, you know, vice versa, reading him and being able to get good shots, knowing when I can poke him to be a little outside of his comfort zone in certain situations. But yeah, it’s really, it’s relationship first.

The Kid LAROI:

This is the choir, I’ve never met them before.

Adam Kargenian:

An honor to get to know him. He’s truly like one of the most gracious kind people I know. And I know that’s not something fans get to see every day on a day-to-day level. But it’s really true with him. He just wants the best for everyone he loves and I feel like he’s loyal to the people he loves even to a fault.

The Kid LAROI:

Awesome, sounds incredible. What’s up, how are you guys doing?

Keep watching for more!

Break out the shot glasses, it’s National Tequila Day! The Mexican spirit, made from agave plants, netted a record-breaking 2022, and according to Forbes, tequila is on track to beat out vodka and whiskey to become the top liquor in America. From a sales perspective, the tequila market is expected to expand to $15.7 billion by 2029.

Lady Gaga is taking over the Olympic stage.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this Friday (July 26). Other rumored artists speculated to perform include Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and French singer Aya Nakamura, though none have been confirmed.

Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that Gaga will perform a duet of Édith Piaf’s classic “La Vie en Rose” with Dion, though that report remains unconfirmed. If the “My Heart Will Go On” icon takes the stage, it will mark Dion’s first performance since she cancelled the dates on her North American Courage world tour before revealing she is fighting Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes severe muscle spasms.

Earlier this week, the pop superstar was photographed waving and blowing kisses to fans in the City of Light as she stood next to her car, dressed in a low-key baseball cap, sunglasses and leathery jacket. A fan video captures Gaga greeting admirers while peeking out of the vehicle’s sunroof, holding up a hand heart.

Gaga’s trip to France comes in the midst of her teasing that her upcoming seventh album is in the works. A few days prior, she shared photos from the studio and wrote, “Happy as ever making music … feel so grateful, heart is peaceful. It’s like meditation. I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on.”

Chris Brown is facing a lawsuit over an alleged Texas assault, marking the latest entry in a long list of legal problems that have plagued the 35-year-old singer since his 2009 arrest for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna.

On Monday (July 22), the lawsuit was filed in Harris County district court, claiming that Brown and several accomplices “brutally and severely beat” four men backstage at Dickies Arena in an unprovoked attack following the show. “The violence included Brown and his entourage surrounding the Plaintiffs, throwing chairs at them, and repeatedly kicking, stomping, and beating them,” the complaint reads. “The unprovoked violence included multiple strikes to the Plaintiffs’ heads and chests, and ultimately involved stomping them while they were down. The brutal, violent assault participated in and directed by Brown, severely injured all Plaintiffs.”

In addition to Brown, the lawsuit names three members of his entourage — Conway, Hood Boss (a.k.a. Omololu Omari Akinlolu) and Sinko Ceej — as defendants. As for Live Nation, the complaint alleges that the concert promoter continued working with Brown despite his history of “bad conduct and violent conduct.”

Throughout the years, Brown has had a series of legal entanglements, including the singer’s guilty plea for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, for which he was sentenced to five years’ probation and community service and forced to undergo domestic violence counseling. The “Forever” singer has also been arrested and/or sued multiple times for various instances of alleged physical and sexual assault.

We’ve compiled a full timeline of Brown’s legal troubles, from 2009 to present. See below.

Ticketmaster announced Wednesday (July 24) that the company is expanding its presence in Africa with the acquisition of Quicket, described in a press release as “a major player in Africa’s general admission event and festival ticketing.”

Quicket, which was founded in South Africa in 2011, is known for its self-service platform and event organizer tools. Since then, the company has expanded beyond the country to Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia and Botswana.

“Africa is home to some of the most passionate fans in the world who we have the privilege of connecting to the events they love, simply and securely,” said Ticketmaster president Mark Yovich in a statement. “Our commitment to delivering top-tier tools for promoters, venues, and artists is unwavering. Partnering with Quicket will supercharge our mission to elevate Africa’s dynamic live events to the global spotlight they truly deserve. Together, we are igniting a new era of unparalleled growth for African entertainment.”

Ticketmaster launched operations on the continent in 2022 when it opened an office in Capetown, South Africa.

With the acquisition, Ticketmaster says African venues, artists and promoters will benefit from Ticketmaster’s global reach, working in tandem with Quicket’s regional expertise. The ticketing giant adds that the deal will enable the expansion of digital technologies, including secure encrypted mobile tickets, on the continent.

Under the leadership of Quicket MD James Tagg, the company will continue to operate as a standalone business unit from Cape Town.

“The passion for live entertainment is at the heart of African culture,” said Tagg in a statement. “Over the past 13 years, we’ve empowered event creators across the continent to deliver exceptional experiences through our ticketing platform. Partnering with Ticketmaster marks a landmark moment in connecting African artists to a global audience and enhancing the experience for local fans and promoters alike.”

It’s no secret that Halle Bailey can sing anything flawlessly, and she proved it once again when she took to social media to put her spin on Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please.”

In the 45-second clip, the 24-year-old star is seen effortlessly belting the chorus while playing the guitar, adding her own vocal runs to some of the lyrics. “woke up with this song in my headdd i love itt,” she captioned the post.

Carpenter scored her first Hot 100 chart topping song with “Please Please Please,” which made its way to the top of the tally on the chart dated June 29, 2024. The pop star celebrated the news of the accomplishment on Instagram, posting a three-item carousel to her feed. The first photo is the graphic of the Hot 100, followed by a video of Carpenter performing the signature claps in “Please Please Please” with co-writer/producer Jack Antonoff and co-writer Amy Allen, plus engineer Laura Sisk off camera.

“MY FIRST #1 on the @billboard HOT 100!!!!!!!” reads Carpenter’s caption. “And espresso at #4.. I’m very immensely grateful so i will surely always remember this day for the rest of my life! @jackantonoff @amyallen i deeply love this song and i love you both!!!!! I love our pitchy claps!!!!! I love @sharp_stick [Sisk] !!!! good things come in three’s. thank you everyone who’s listened and made it so much fun to have these songs out in the world. more to come soon.”

Bailey, meanwhile, has also had an exciting year. In January, she announced the birth of her first child, a son named Halo whom she shares with rapper DDG. She shared a photo of his tiny hand on Instagram, writing, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.”

Colombian superstar Karol G officially wrapped her Mañana Será Bonito World Tour – a yearlong tour de force stint that touched base in the U.S., Latin America and Europe, with her last show in Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where she became the first artist to sell out four shows at that venue.

“Hey familia, after almost seventy nights, I’m going to say for real that tonight is going to be the coolest night of my life,” said Karol, who, for this special occasion, ditched her pink-hued locks and appeared in her iconic, teal-dyed hair at the beginning of the show. The blue hair stayed for the first 30 minutes of the show, a nod to her KG0516 era, and with it she performed hits like the fiery “TQG,” the cheeky reggaeton anthem “Mi Cama” and her breakthrough song “Tusa.”

Billed as Mañana Será Bonito Forever, the show also streamed on Karol’s official YouTube page, kicking off at 6pm ET (after the show ended in Madrid) and at one point the stream surpassed 1 million people tuning in, with hearts flooding the comments section. Meanwhile, at the Bernabéu, thousands of fans danced and sang decked out in flowery Mañana Será Bonito merch with pink cowboy hats or fluffy earmuffs as an extra nod to Karol’s Bichota Season aesthetic.

The last show was a culmination of her extraordinary tour – and yes, extraordinary because no other women in Latin music had headlined a global stadium tour. The trek – in support of Karol’s Grammy-winning, Billboard 200-topping album by the same name – also became a top grossing event — she was the was the highest grossing Latin touring artist of 2023 — and the moment wasn’t lost on Karol who was visibly emotional during the show as she stared out at the sea of fans who chanted “Karol, Karol.”

Not much changed for her last show from previous performances (except for the hair color changes throughout the over two-hour set, going blue to red and then pink). Karol stuck to the show fans have raved about all year long singing all her old and new hits – including her latest, the merengue-powered “Si Antes Te Hubieras Conocido,” which currently sits atop the Hot Latin Songs chart.

“I always think I have the words for everything but I would like to find the words to describe how I feel as a person, as a woman, how I feel here in front of all of you, how I feel knowing that, at home, there are thousands of people watching me right now,” a tearful Karol, dressed in a gorgeous angelic white dress, told her fans. “If there is something beautiful that this journey taught me, it was to learn to love myself, I am sure that God made me unique as well as he made us all unique for a reason. This tour allowed me to find my purpose in life and that is to help people feel like I feel now after so many years of not feeling this way. I’m closing a chapter of my life that meant everything, the closeness with my fans, with my family and after all, tomorrow was very beautiful. From my heart, I wish this for each one of you, so learn to put yourselves above many things, love yourselves very much, I love you with my life, my relationship for life is with you. Thank you!”

Making the connection even deeper with a few lucky fans fans, Karol stepped down from the stage mid-show greeting those in the front section, including little kids, and personally picking up gifts along the way; a bouquet of flowers, a stuffed unicorn, a rainbow flag and a cowboy hat.

The tears continued to flow when she performed “Mientras Me Curo del Cora,” and Iker, the little boy who was a key figure in her Mañana Será Bonito concept, appeared on stage wearing green, white and red (representing Mexico) holding a traditional Mexican rag doll as a gift for Karol. “He was my inner child in this process,” Karol said as she introduced him to her fans. The two embraced and Karol reminded everyone, “nothing matters because mañana será bonito.”

Toward the end of the show, she sang an encore of “Amargura,” this time accompanied by a salsa band, which included Emily Estefan on percussion. But right before, she expressed, “This tour changed my life, it changed the lives of many people. I feel proud to represent my home country and I feel much more proud to represent all my Latin countries. I would love to stop time and stay here crying, singing, thank you for making me so happy. I don’t want to leave, if it was up to me, I’d start the show all over again.”

But alas, all good things come to an end. And Karol officially closed with “Provenza,” the song that “started everything,” she said. “Here and those at home, let’s enjoy this moment like if it was our last and best night of our lives.”
