Zach Bryan is showing his appreciation to The Boss.

On Thursday (July 4), the 28-year-old country music star profusely thanked his musical hero Bruce Springsteen on social media following their collaboration on Bryan’s new album, The Great American Bar Scene.

On the 19-track project, which dropped July 4 through Warner Records, Bryan is joined by his one of his most obvious influences, Springsteen, on “Sandpaper.”

“thank you for the day @springsteen. thank you for your kind words. thank you for letting me take this picture,” Bryan captioned a photo of Springsteen on X (formerly Twitter). “thank you for making my whole life a dream of a younger me. a reason to believe.”

Fans of Springsteen’s “I’m on Fire” will instantly recognize the chugging beat on “Sandpaper,” which is identical to the feel of his 1984 hit.

The Great American Bar Scene includes 18 songs and a poem, highlighted by the preview releases of “Pink Skies” and “Purple Gas.” A double vinyl version of album is slated for release on Oct. 10.

Following the album’s release on Thursday, John Mayer — who is featured on the gentle song “Better Days” — praised the country star on social media.

“I always knew this song Zach wrote was special,” Mayer began his post on X. “I had no idea how beautiful, powerful and deep an album it would be a part of. I’m stunned.”

The “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer added, “I’m blessed to have been able to fulfill my dreams of making music. What I never saw coming: to be asked to play with an artist as deeply tapped in as @zachlanebryan is. Thank you for inviting me into your dream-coming-true.”

In addition to prepping new music, Bryan has been headlining his Quittin Time Tour, which welcomes a slate of openers including Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours and The War & Treaty.

David and Victoria Beckham are taking a trip down memory lane in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary.

In a joint Instagram post on Wednesday (July 3), the famous couple shared photos of themselves wearing what appears to be the same all-purple outfits they donned at their wedding reception on July 4, 1999.

“Look what we found…,” the Beckhams captioned a current photo of themselves seated in throne-style chairs and holding hands.

The former Spice Girls member, 50, and retired soccer star, 49, tied the knot during a lavish wedding in 1999 at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, Ireland. Their iconic purple outfits were designed by Antonio Berardi.

In a second Instagram post, Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham shared a gallery featuring several more photos of the pair sporting the matching amethyst duds.

“Yep, still got it! Can’t believe it’s been 25 years and they still fit!” she wrote. “We love you so much @BrooklynPeltzBeckham @RomeoBeckham @CruzBeckham #HarperSeven”

The Beckhams share four kids. Their oldest child Brooklyn arrived in March 1999, with son Romeo coming along in September 2002. They welcomed son Cruz in 2005, followed by daughter Harper in 2011.

The pop star and model also shared a handful of past and present visuals on her Instagram Story, including a comical video of her husband struggling to fit in his purple trousers.

The anniversary photos arrives after the beauty and clothing mogul celebrated her 50th birthday in March with a grand party, which was attended by former bandmates Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell. At one point, the quintet danced along to their 1997 hit “Stop,” a rare reunion captured by David in an Instagram video.

“Best night ever!” Victoria wrote at the time, also sharing the clip on social media. “Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!”

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been hit with a new lawsuit by exotic dancer Adria English, who claims she was a victim of sex trafficking orchestrated in the 2000s by the Bad Boy mogul and others she named in a sprawling complaint filed Wednesday (July 3) in New York federal court.

According to the lawsuit, filed by attorneys Ariel Mitchell-Kidd and Steven Metcalf, English was a victim of sex trafficking at the hands of Combs along with his fellow defendants Tamiko Thomas, who was allegedly an employee of Bad Boy Entertainment at the time, and a man named Jacob Arabov (a.k.a. Jacob The Jeweler). She alleges that the trio was “aided and abetted” by several companies also named as defendants in the complaint, including Bad Boy Entertainment, Combs Global Enterprises, Sean John Holdings, VIBE magazine and its current parent company, Penske Media Corporation (PMC). (PMC did not own VIBE when the alleged events occurred.)

Notably, the complaint alleges that the actions of all defendants amounted to a violation of federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) laws, which have historically been used to target the mafia, drug cartels and other organized crime rings (a similar state-level law in Georgia has formed the basis of prosecutors’ case against rapper Young Thug, whom they allege leads a violent Atlanta street gang known as Young Slime Life). These types of racketeering laws make it easier for prosecutors to sweep up members of alleged criminal enterprises based on many individual actions.

English claims she first came into contact with Combs in 2004 — when she says she was working as a dancer at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club in Manhattan — after accompanying her then-boyfriend, model Anthony Gallo, to an audition for a Sean John modeling campaign. While at the audition, she says Gallo and another model were asked to perform fellatio on Combs as a condition of booking the job. After Gallo refused, she claims he was later told he could book the campaign if he commanded English to work as a go-go dancer at Combs’ Labor Day White Party in the Hamptons, N.Y. “In an effort to assist Mr. Gallo’s desire to become a model, Plaintiff agreed to what she believed to be legitimate employment,” the complaint reads.

While working the event, English says she was instructed to give lap dances and be “sexually flirtatious” with guests and “forced to consume liquor and illicit narcotics,” including bottles she claims were laced with ecstasy. She alleges she was subsequently invited to perform at additional White Parties, where Combs and Thomas — whom she compares to Ghislaine Maxwell, the former associate of late sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein — eventually “groomed” her into sex trafficking.

By her third White Party, English claims that Combs and Thomas demanded she partake in sexual intercourse with guests, using knowledge of her past work in adult films “to coerce” her into doing so. This activity, she claims, continued through 2009 at White Parties thrown at Combs’ Hampton and Miami residences.

One of the men English says she was forced to have sexual intercourse with during this period was Jacob Arabov (Jacob The Jeweler) at the behest of Combs, as she feared she could lose her job along with her boyfriend’s future modeling opportunities. “Plaintiff, fearing not only her safety, but her and her then-boyfriend’s job security, did as instruct and went with Defendant Jacob where she engaged in forced sexual intercourse with Defendant Jacob at the demand and behest of Defendant Combs,” the complaint reads.

English further alleges that Combs kept hidden cameras in every room of his Hamptons and Miami homes and believes her sexual assaults were caught on tape, including when she was “unconscious.”

During this period, English also alleges that VIBE magazine published an image of her in a November 2006 story about Combs’ White Parties without her consent, claiming its use violates her “rights to privacy via misappropriation.” She claims she “did not discover the infringing use” until April 2024. She further accuses VIBE and parent company PMC of “intentionally and falsely marketing and promoting” Combs’ White Parties “as a high-profile networking and social event in an effort to disguise and deceive the real intent of the event…and to further the goals of the Defendants illegal and criminal Enterprise.”

English says she continued putting up with Combs’ demands in part due to promises that he would help her break into the music business by putting her in an all-female music group. She says she finally detached herself from Combs when she returned to California in 2009, at which point she claims she suffered from deep depression and anxiety in response to the past trauma of being assaulted and trafficked, along with her unraveling career.

According to the lawsuit, English’s victimization at the hands of Combs and his alleged co-conspirators has led her to suffer continued “extreme emotional distress” that has impacted every aspect of her personal life.

In a statement sent to Billboard, Combs’ attorney Jonathan Davis said, “No matter how many lawsuits are filed it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court.”

Billboard reached out to Thomas and Arabov for comment but had not heard back by press time. PMC declined to comment.

This is the 10th sexual misconduct lawsuit to be filed against Combs since his ex-girlfriend, pop star Cassie, made waves with her sexual abuse suit against the mogul in November, which was settled less than 24 hours later. He has vehemently denied all cases against him. Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles homes were raided by federal agents in March, though no arrests were made.

In May, disturbing footage obtained by CNN showed Combs abusing Cassie in an elevator bank at a Los Angeles hotel in March 2016. Soon after the footage came out, Combs apologized for his actions, which he says he was “disgusted” by.

“I was f—ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses,” he said in the since-deleted Instagram clip. “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now.”

In the wake of the allegations, the fallout for Combs has continued to reverberate. Last month, his media company Revolt announced employees would become the company’s largest shareholders after Combs reportedly sold his stake to an anonymous buyer. Also in June, Combs’ Miami Day honor was revoked and Howard University withdrew an honorary degree it bestowed upon him.

“On the Fourth of July, 1964, the Beach Boys topped the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘I Get Around,’ the first No. 1 single by an American male singing group in eight months,” Fred Bronson wrote in The Billboard Book of Number One Hits. “The timing was appropriate, for the Beach Boys were … promoting little deuce coupes, surfin’ U.S.A. and California girls.” Plus, “the Beach Boys often performed concerts on the Fourth of July.”

“I Get Around” – which followed four leaders by The Beatles since February 1964, among chart-toppers by British acts – became the Beach Boys’ first Hot 100 No. 1, with their 12th entry on the survey. They’d previously hit the top 10 with “Surfin’ U.S.A.” (No. 3, May 1963), “Surfer Girl” (No. 7, September 1963), “Be True to Your School” (No. 6, December 1963) and “Fun, Fun, Fun” (No. 5, March 1964). Notably, Beach Boy Brian Wilson, who wrote “I Get Around” with bandmate Mike Love, hit No. 1 as a writer in that span, via Jan & Dean’s “Surf City,” which reigned for two weeks in July 1963.

Upon the Hot 100 reign of “I Get Around,” the Beach Boys comprised of Wilson and Love (who shared lead vocals in the group), Wilson’s younger brothers Carl and Dennis Wilson, and Al Jardine.

The Beach Boys have since upped their career count to four Hot 100 No. 1s, among 15 top 10s. Following a two-week command for “I Get Around,” they ruled again with “Help Me Rhonda” (for two weeks in 1965), “Good Vibrations” (two weeks, 1966) and “Kokomo” (one week, 1988). When “Kokomo” sailed to No. 1, the act ended the longest break between leaders to that point. This past holiday season, the Beach Boys’ classic “Little Saint Nick” jingled to a new No. 25 Hot 100 high, their highest rank since the run of “Kokomo.”

The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. In 2001, they were honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy, while five of the group’s recordings have been voted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, including “I Get Around” in 2017.

On April 2, the Beach Boys released a self-titled autobiography, and a Disney+ documentary premiered May 24.

Wrote Wilson (who in May was judged to be in need of conservatorship due to his health) in the official Amazon description of the 408-page book, “There’s love in the music and people can relate to the love, regardless of whether you’re two years old or 92 years old. For me, music is about love. Love is the message I want to share. That makes the hard work worth it.”

Kesha is celebrating liberty and justice for all with the Independence Day release of her new single “Joyride,” the star’s first track since being set free from her contract with Kemosabe Records in December.

Dropping early Thursday (July 4) morning, the summer-ready song features Kesha revisiting her EDM-pop signature sound from the 2010s while asserting her right to take exactly what she wants without faking any smiles. “Don’t even try to give me s–t/ I’ve earned the right to be like this,” she sings over a flashy club beat. “Joy ride, joy ride/ I’m just looking for a good time tonight.”

The 37-year-old singer-songwriter hasn’t dropped music since 2023’s Gag Order, which was her last contractual release with Kemosabe. It’s also her first project since settling her nearly decade-long defamation lawsuit with the label’s founder, Dr. Luke whom she accused of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse in 2014.

“I haven’t felt this free since I was 18,” Kesha wrote in a December TikTok post, shortly after it was first reported that her contract had been fulfilled.

The “We R Who We R” singer has been teasing “Joy Ride” for days leading up to its release, sharing campy videos of her dressed in a red leotard at a gas station to promote the track. One of the posts revealed that the song is presented by “Kesha Records.”

The musician also gave “Joyride” its live debut ahead of its official arrival, playing the song for her audience at New York City’s Planet Pride Saturday (June 29). “Good news: I’m a free motherf–king woman,” she said before starting the track. “And do you know what I want to do? I kinda wanna play my first song in almost 20 f–king years … as a free motherf–king woman.”
