Now that you’ve gotten to know Jelly Roll better through his new Billboard cover story, it’s time to take a closer look at his wife, Bunnie XO.

In his interview, Jelly Roll called Bunnie “a beacon of change in my life.” At the 2023 CMT Music Awards in April, where Jelly Roll took home three awards — male video of the year, breakthrough male video of the year and digital-first performance of the year — one face in the audience made fans at home swoon: Jelly Roll’s wife beamed with happiness and pride from the crowd, giving viewers a glimpse into the “Son of a Sinner” singer’s adorable love story.

Following the ceremony, Bunnie paid tribute to her husband with a heartwarming Instagram post. “You my sweet other half, are just that. A man that was told no every corner he turned only to hit ‘em with that Nashville shuck & come out on top every time. I always tell you you have a horseshoe stuck up your ass, but that isn’t it baby,” she wrote in the caption. “This is sheer will to spread light, to move mountains, to touch broken souls with your voice, to break generational traumas & set examples for the future. In short, you are the game changer papas. You were sent here to destroy stereotypes & blaze the trail for all the have nots.”

Following Jelly Roll and Bunnie’s sweet night at the CMT Music Awards, we’ve compiled five things to know about the model and entrepreneur. See below.

Tionne “T-Box” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas will share the story of their lives in how they “broke boundaries, influenced an entire generation and survived against all odds” in the Lifetime documentary TLC Forever, premiering Saturday (June 3) at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The two-and-half-hour documentary chronicles the group’s journey through music – from their start in the ‘90s to their message, style, legacy and the tragic death Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez. The documentary will feature appearances from other music industry colleagues such as Missy Elliott and Dave Grohl.

After Left Eye’s tragic death in 2002, T-Boz and Chili were not only grieving the loss of their group member and friend, but they were also uncertain about the future of TLC. In an interview with USA Today, T-Boz theorized that Left Eye would be the “female Kanye West” if she were alive today.

“I said that because Lisa was always just saying things. If she had Twitter fingers, she’d be all over the place and have something to say about everything and not care,” she explained. “She’d be making all of the shocking comments. And Kanye was the only comparison I could think of about what my sister would be like now.”

T-Box and Chilli are executive producers alongside Bill Diggins for Diggit Entertainment Group and Rick Krim; Roger Ross Williams and Geoff Martz for One Story Up. Elaine Frontain Bryant and Brad Abramson are executive producers for A+E Networks. The documentary is produced by One Story Up and Lauren Fulton for Lifetime and A&E Network.

Ahead of his Tribeca Film Festival documentary premiere, French Montana tapped Florida rapper Kodak Black for the soundtrack cut “I Can’t Lie.”

The London On Da Track single dropped Friday (June 2) and marks the first release from For Khadija: French Montana. Infusing North African instrumental melodies with trap drums, French and Kodak pass the mic back and forth, dropping boisterous bars.

French’s For Khadija documentary chronicles the rise of the 38-year-old rapper, born Karim Kharbouch, from teenage Moroccan migrant to chart-dominating star. The doc, executive produced by Drake and Sean “Diddy” Combs, tells the all-too-familiar immigrant story, centering French and his mother, whose sacrifices played an invaluable role in his successes.

“Us watching America as kids, they sell you the dream,” French says in the trailer. “They don’t show you that behind those buildings is the nightmare part.”

“I Can’t Lie” marks the beginning of many songs to come from French and Kodak, as the duo will be releasing a joint album soon. The pair have collaborated in the past, on cuts like “Mopstick” and the 2016 release “Lockjaw.”

Recently, French reacted to a social media post naming him as the “most streamed African-born artist.” French’s wildly successful “Unforgettable” is listed as RIAA-certified diamond, which equates to 10 million in sales. Amid the exciting developments, French has also dealt with his fair share of issues, including being sued back in March in relation to a shooting that left 10 people injured at the filming of his music video in Miami Gardens, Fla.

For Khadija will premiere June 16 at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Shares of iHeartMedia jumped 30.5% to $3.12 this week, making the radio giant the best-performing stock on the Billboard Global Music Index. The company gained 25.3% on Friday (June 2) without any clear signal — such as an SEC filing or earnings release — to drive such a sharp movement. On Thursday, CEO Bob Pittman told The New York Post that “radio is as strong as ever” and is not in competition with streaming services like Spotify. “The consumer uses us both,” he said. iHeartMedia’s share price is down 49.1% year to date.

The Billboard Global Music Index increased 1.3% to 12,47.74 overall this week, as 11 of the index’s 21 stocks finished in positive territory. Korean music company HYBE was unchanged, while the remaining nine stocks posted losses between 0.9% and 4.2%. The index has gained 6.8% year to date.

Stocks closed the week on high notes following a U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report that showed non-farm payroll employment increased by 339,000 in May. Although the music industry is experiencing a rare series of layoffs and notable tech companies like Meta continue to downsize, the jobs market has remained strong in the face of inflation and higher borrowing costs following a year of interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.

The S&P 500 gained 1.5% on Friday, bringing its one-week increase to 1.8%. The Nasdaq composite gained 1.1% on Friday and closed 2.0% higher on the week. Overseas, the United Kingdom’s FTSE 100 index fell 0.3% this week while Korea’s KOSPI index improved 1.7%.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSGE) was the only other stock on the Billboard Global Music Index that showed a double-digit gain, with shares gaining 14.4% to finish at $40.09. On Wednesday, Macquarie initiated coverage of MSGE with a $43 price target and an “outperform” rating; speaking with the TD Ameritrade Network on Friday, Macquarie analyst Paul Golding noted the company’s “high-quality assets that are very well known in the largest market in the country” and “desirable assets” for concerts and tours.

Outside of the Billboard Global Music Index, radio company Townsquare gained 16.9% this week, bringing the company’s year-to-date improvement to 44.7% despite a soft advertising market that has hurt most radio stocks. K-pop company JYP Entertainment, home to Stray Kids and Twice, steadily rose throughout the week to close at 128,700 KRW ($98.53) on Friday, up 13.2%, for a year-to-date gain of 89.8%. JYP announced on Wednesday that it expanded its partnership with Imperial and Republic Records to help market and promote its music in the United States.
