BTS took a trip down memory lane during the first episode of BTS Radio: Past & Present on Apple Music 1.
The K-pop superstars launched the weekly limited series on Saturday (May 28) with an hour-long show that gave listeners an inside look into some of the septet’s early recordings dating back to 2013.
“We wanted to use this radio show to celebrate nine years of BTS with you guys and with our ARMY all over the world,” RM said in announcing the three-episode series. “Every episode is dedicated to you,” the singer continued. “We wanted to share the BTS songs that help tell our story.”
During Saturday’s inaugural episode, the South Korean group discussed songs including “Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life,” “Epilogue: Young Forever,” “I Need U,” “No More Dream” and “We Are Bulletproof, Pt. 2.”
BTS Radio: Past & Present airs weekly in the lead-up to the Grammy-nominated group’s upcoming anthology album, Proof, which is scheduled for release on June 10. The episodes will be available on-demand to Apple Music subscribers.

Suga on “Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life”
“I chose ‘Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life’ because I remember working on this song and exactly how much I struggled with it. Thinking about it brings tears to my eyes right now. Just so many memories with this song.”
Jimin on “Epilogue: Young Forever”
“This song means a lot to me because I listened to it a lot when I was going through a hard time, and it helped me get through it. It’s also one of the most beautiful songs ARMY has sung for us.”
Jung Kook on “I Need U”
“This song is special to us in many ways. The album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life I think is just a great album, and ‘I Need You’ got us our very first No. 1 win on a Korean music show. I think back then was when we first got the feeling that we were finally being noticed, finally about to make it.”
Suga and Jimin on “No More Dream”
Suga: “The reason I chose ‘No More Dream’ is because it is our debut song, and looking back now, it is the type of song that we could only have done back then.”
Jimin: “I agree with Suga. Same reason, this was our debut song, and I think it is the first song where we really express our emotions and message clearly.”
Jin on “N.O” and “Danger”
“I chose ‘N.O’ and ‘Danger’ because these are the songs that best represent the struggling times we had. Our members had a tough time back then.”
j-hope, V and Jung Kook on “We are Bulletproof, Pt. 2”
j-hope: “Just like the title of the song, I think it demonstrates the ambitious spirit we had when we debuted. I just wanted to listen to it again.”
V: “I chose this song because it’s so fun to listen to.”
Jung Kook: “I chose this song because it really represents our group’s identity and I think we really threw everything we had into this song.”
“Weird Al” Yankovic is getting some more love from Stranger Things.
In the long-awaited fourth season of the Netflix sci-fi series, which debuted on Friday (May 27), the legendary comedian is referenced during a cafeteria scene between high school pals Dustin Henderson and Mike Wheeler — played by Gaten Matarazzo and Finn Wolfhard, respectively — and their Hellfire Club leader Eddie Munson, portrayed by Joseph Quinn.
“I knew it the moment I saw you,” Munson says, crouched between the two friends. “You sat at that table right over there, looking like two little lost sheep.” Turning to Dustin, he adds, “You were wearing a ‘Weird Al’ T-shirt, which I thought was brave.”
The long-haired Dungeons & Dragons aficionado is referring to an episode in season 3, where Dustin sports a light blue shirt featuring the cover of Yankovic’s 1984 album, “Weird Al” Yankovic in 3-D.
Following the premiere on Friday, Yankovic expressed his appreciation for the name-drop by sharing a video of the 15-second scene on social media. “#Brave #StrangerThings,” the parodist captioned his tweet.
Yankovic’s “My Bologna,” a comical take on the Knack’s hit song “My Sharona,” was also featured on the soundtrack for the third season of Stranger Things.
The latest season of the popular show will be split into two parts. “Volume 1” debuted on May 27 and the second half, “Volume 2,” will arrive on July 1.

Camila Cabello gave soccer fans something to remember at the opening of the 2022 UEFA Champions League final on Saturday (May 28).
Prior to the face-off between Liverpool and Real Madrid, the 25-year-old songstress delivered a colorful spectacle for thousands of fans at Stade de France in Paris. The carnival-themed celebration, which Cabello paid homage to Cabello’s Latin heritage, featured a breathtaking medley of “Senorita,” “Bam Bam” and “Don’t Go Yet.”
In a recent interview with Billboard, Cabello discussed weaving elements of her Latin culture into her new music and into every aspect of her life. “My music, I always feel celebrates my heritage and my Cuban-Mexican heritage, so there’s going to be songs from Familia on there,” the singer said of the performance.
The performance was a natural fit for Cabello, who grew up watching the World Cup with her family every four years. “Out of every sport, it’s the only one I really understand and the one that gets me the most hyped,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to see a soccer game in person.”
Cabello has always been openly proud of her Latin culture, and on her recent studio album, Familia, that connection is deeply celebrated through vibrant instrumentals and a number of Spanish-language songs including “Celia,” “Hasta Los Dientes” featuring Maria Becerra and verses in Lola featuring Yotuel.
The UEFA Champions League final opening ceremony, presented by Pepsi, aired in more 200 countries and territories worldwide. Watch Cabello’s performance here.
Kelly Osbourne is expressing gratitude after being sober for one year.
The 37-year-old television personality, who is the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, took to social media on Friday (May 27) to share a heartfelt message on the first anniversary of her sobriety. The announcement follows news that the Osbournes star is pregnant with her first child.
“What a difference a year can make!” she wrote alongside a “Twelve Steps” image on Instagram. “If you would have told me 365 days ago that I would be sober, happy, and about to be a mumma I would have laughed in your face.”
Osbourne continued, “Life is truly amazing when you do the work. Thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey. I love you all so much!!!!!!!”
Last year, she opened up about her battles with drug and alcohol addiction during an episode of Red Table Talk on Facebook Watch. Osbourne discussed ending nearly four years of sobriety amid the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2021.
“I was alone, sitting by a pool and waiting for somebody to come have a meeting with me. And I saw this woman and her husband had a glass of champagne. It looked really nice and I was like, ‘I can do that, too,’” she recalled. “And the next day, I had two glasses. And the day after that, it was bottles.”
Earlier this month, Osbourne — who has two albums on the Billboard 200 — announced on Instagram that she’s expecting her first child with Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson.
“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma,” she captioned a picture set of her holding her ultrasounds photos. “To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!”

Matthew Morrison’s stint as a So You Think You Can Dance judge will be short lived.
The former Glee star and Broadway veteran is departing the show — whose 17th season premiered just nine days ago — after violating its competition protocols. Reps for Fox declined comment on the nature of the violation.
“Having the opportunity to be a judge on So You Think You Can Dance was an incredible honor for me,” Morrison said in a statement. “Therefore, it is my deepest regret to inform you that I will be leaving the show. After filming the audition rounds for the show and completing the selection of the 12 finalists, I did not follow competition production protocols, preventing me from being able to judge the competition fairly. I cannot apologize enough to all involved and I will be watching alongside you all on what I know will be one of the best seasons yet.”
So You Think You Can Dance returned to Fox on May 18 after almost three years, with Morrison joining Stephen “Twitch” Boss and Jojo Siwa as judges. He’ll be seen in two more pretaped episodes; Fox says SYTYCD will name a new judge for the next stage of the competition, which is set to begin on June 15.
Us Weekly first reported Morrison’s departure.
