Karnivool stages a comeback to remember with Versus (via Cymatic Records/Sony Music), which blasts to No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Versus is the hard rock outfit’s fourth studio album, and first in 13 years. Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, and led by Birds of Tokyo singer Ian Kenny, Karnivool has three acclaimed and platinum-certified records under their collective belt, Themata (No. 41 peak in 2005), Sound Awake (No. 2 in 2009) and the ARIA Award-winning No. 1 album Asymmetry (2013).

“We can’t believe it,” reads a statement from the band. “After 13 years of waiting it’s bloody lovely not to be forgotten, and at such a wild time for music to get a No. 1 record is pretty amazing. Karnivool as a band has never followed a conventional path, god knows we aren’t even on TikTok, and this album is on our own label through our friends at Sony. Versus, which was born out of “relentless experimentation in their Perth studio with longtime collaborator Forrester Savell,” reads a message from the band, opens atop the ARIA Chart, published Friday, Feb. 13 and it’s the week’s best-seller on vinyl.

With Karnivool flying high on the national tally, Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving loses its crown, down 1-2, while Japanese Australian singer Joji completes the podium with Piss In The Wind, his fourth studio album. It blows in at No. 3. Piss In The Wind is the followup to 2022’s Smithereens, which blew up at No. 3, and 2020’s Nectar, which topped the frame for one week.

Bad Bunny has been the headlines, everywhere, following his halftime show at Super Bowl LX and Grammy Award win for album of the year. That attention sees Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS spread its wings, flying 20-4 on the latest ARIA Chart, giving the Reggaeton superstar his first top 10 appearance in Australia. That easily eclipses the album’s peak position of No. 16 in 2025.

Meanwhile, the lead track from the LP, “DtMF,” enters the ARIA Singles Chart for the first time, at No. 4. The Puerto Rican star also bows at No. 25 with “NUEVAYoL” and at No. 34 with “BAILE INoLVIDABLE.”

J. Cole’s sixth and final album, The Fall-Off, enjoys a top 10 debut. It’s new at No. 7. The U.S. hip-hop star has a string of top 10 appearances here, including a week at No. 1 with 2018’s KOD.

Olivia Dean might’ve lost her grip on the albums chart title, but she continues to reign over the ARIA Singles Chart with “Man I Need,” and completes another one-two, as “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” holds at No. 2. The Brit’s breakout hit enters its 13th consecutive week at No. 1, and becomes just the fourth song to dominate for such a stretch since the official ARIA Charts launched in 1983.

“Man I Need” joins Coolio and L.V.’s “Gangsta’s Paradise” (1995-96), Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” (2017) and Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (2019), each of which led the survey for at least 13 weeks. The all-time chart champion is Tones and I’s “Dance Monkey,” led for 24 non-consecutive weeks in 2019-20.

Sombr bags a fourth top 40 appearance with his new track, “Homewrecker,” new at No. 18. He’s so hot right now, all four of those songs are currently in the top 40: “12 to 12” (down 6-8), “Back To Friends” (down 14-15) and “Undressed” (down 23-26). The lanky New Yorker visited Australia last December for his The Late Nights & Young Romance Tour, produced by Frontier Touring, and for a spot on four-show Spilt Milk run.

Finally,  Tame Impala’s “Dracula” climbs to a new peak, up 32-22, with a little help from JENNIE. The BLACKPINK star contributes vocals to a new mix for the Deadbeat single, which had, until this week, notched a No. 26 best on the ARIA Chart. It’s the only Australian-made recording in the ARIA Top 50.

Cruz Beckham is a romantic at heart.

With his new single, “for your love,” which drops today, Feb. 13, Cruz Beckham gets in early with the Valentine’s Day presents.

“For your love” was co-written and produced by Justin Raisen and Lewis Pesacov (Kim Gordon, Joji, Charli xcx), and is the followup to his debut single “Optics,” released in October 2025 alongside “Lick The Toad.” 

The new track is accompanied by an official music video, which features Cruz alongside his group the Breakers, which includes bandmates Dan Ewins, Telmo Seixas and Dario Scotti. Look out for a cameo from his grandad.

“I love this song,” Beckham says. “It’s been so fun to play live over the last couple of months. It was the first track I properly finished with Justin and Lewis, who are total legends at what they do, and we all walked away knowing this had really laid the foundations for everything else we’ve created together. For me, it’s all about love and being fearless in that love, but I hope everyone can interpret it in their own way and find their own meaning to it.”

The apple, we’re so often told, doesn’t fall far from the tree. Beckham is the youngest son of Victoria, the Spice Girl (“Posh”) who helped turn the pop world onto Girl Power in the 1990s, and David, the retired soccer superstar with the golden right foot.

Cruz will support the new release next month for a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe, getting underway in Birmingham on Feb. 25, before visiting Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Southampton, Brighton, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin, and wrapping up with three nights at the Courtyard Theatre in London.   

The first show announced for the trek, March 27 at the Courtyard Theatre, sold out in a matter of minutes, reps say.

Those dates follow Beckham’s live debut late last year with a run of unannounced sets under different aliases supporting the Royston Club, visiting various cities around Britain.

“I’m so excited to get out on the road, I’ve always been inspired by bands who do it the right way, so I wanna get out there and play loads of small gigs,” Beckham enthuses in a statement. “I cannot wait to meet the fans and for them to hear the tracks, I can’t believe people have actually spent their hard-earned money to come and see me and my band, so we’re gonna put on a show! I’m so buzzing to have our own banner for The Breakers, we’ve only been a support band so far so this time we get our own banner.”

Dance music titan John Summit has joined the growing list of artists threatening to leave the Wasserman agency over founder and CEO Casey Wasserman‘s ties to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

“If casey wasserman doesn’t step down, i will not remain with the agency,” Summit wrote via Twitter and Instagram on Thursday (Feb. 12). “His actions do not reflect the integrity of the agents i work with, and if change does not happen, we will take our talents elsewhere.”

In response to a comment on his original post thanking him for coming forward, Summit said he had “zero plans on leaving [his] agents,” adding, “they aren’t involved in this so it’s been an ongoing process how to deal with this.”

Summit is one of the biggest artists yet to speak out on the ongoing controversy, which began after the latest tranche of Epstein files revealed scores of emails between Casey Wasserman and Maxwell, who was is now serving a 20-year prison sentence on sex trafficking convictions. Earlier this week, artists including Chappell Roan, Dropkick Murphys and Orville Peck said they had left the agency over the revelations. Several others, like Summit, have threatened to leave if Wasserman remains in charge.

In a statement sent to The Hollywood Reporter after the emails were uncovered, Wasserman — who is also chair of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics organizing committee, which recently said Wasserman would continue in his post despite multiple calls for him to step down — wrote, “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light. I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”

A federal judge has given his blessing for the estate of MF Doom to move forward with reworked trademark infringement claims against Temu over counterfeit merch bearing the late hip-hop legend’s name and signature mask.

Judge Stanley Blumenfeld Jr. threw out the first version of the lawsuit in December after finding that it portrayed Temu only as a pass-through online marketplace for independent sellers in China. MF Doom’s estate then fleshed out the complaint to allege that Temu actually takes an active role in curating and shipping the low-priced goods sold on its site — and the judge says these additions now make the lawsuit viable.

“As amended, the complaint plausibly alleges that Temu takes title to goods or otherwise exercises sufficient control over the allegedly infringing products to be liable for their sale,” wrote Judge Blumenfeld on Tuesday (Feb. 10). “Plaintiff alleges that Temu holds itself out as the seller, identifies products as ‘procured by Temu,’ creates advertising, receives manufacturer pitches, and jointly controls pricing, logistics and importation.”

Temu forcefully maintains that it is just an intermediary and thus cannot be held liable for any alleged trademark infringement by its vendors. Judge Blumenfeld has not yet made any factual findings on this question; he merely decided that, as written, the lawsuit is legally sound enough that the MF Doom estate can move into the evidence discovery phase.

A lawyer for the estate, Jeff Gluck, told Billboard on Thursday (Feb. 12) that the ruling is an “important and significant victory.” A rep for Temu did not return a request for comment.

MF Doom (real name Daniel Dumile) died in 2020, and his family now manages the British rapper’s catalog and intellectual property. The estate sued Temu this past summer, alleging the Chinese budget seller, whose name derives from the motto “Team Up, Price Down,” is flooding the market with knock-off t-shirts, hats and posters bearing MF Doom’s iconic mask and other trademarks.

The same lawyers representing the MF Doom estate filed a similar counterfeiting lawsuit against Temu last year on behalf of Twenty One Pilots. The two cases represent a new front in the music industry’s legal war on phony merch sales, which have skyrocketed in recent years.

Artists and their teams have typically pursued legal action against counterfeiters themselves. Harry Styles, for one, brought litigation against online bootleggers in 2023, while the official merch partners for Benson Boone and Tate McRae recently went to court to stop parking lot t-shirt sellers at live shows.

Both the MF Doom estate and Twenty One Pilots are trying a new tack by targeting a corporate sales platform rather than individual counterfeiters, who are often difficult to track down and hold financially accountable. However, as the back-and-forth dismissal rulings in the MF Doom case have demonstrated, it remains an open question whether it will be possible to establish liability for platforms like Temu under U.S. trademark law.

Maluma unveils “Con el Corazón,” his first-ever collaboration with Yeison Jiménez, and the first posthumous release following Jiménez’s unexpected death on Jan. 10 in Boyacá, Colombia. He was 34.

The ranchera song not only stands as a new anthem for the men who admit they are “un patan” (a jerk) and a moving tribute to Jiménez, but it also marks a long-awaited union between the Latin urban artist and late música popular colombiana star. As Jiménez tells Maluma in the music video himself: “You have no idea how many years I waited for this moment, thank God!”

Co-written by Maluma and Jiménez, alongside Jonathan Rivera, Giancarlos Rivera, José Daniel Zapata, and Ily Wonder, and co-produced by Maluma and MADMUSICK, “Con el Corazón” is backed by acoustic guitar strings intertwined with a soaring accordion, creating a vibrant tapestry of norteño-popular rhythms while spotlighting lyrics about a person who’s not going to change their antics in a relationship.

“Seems like you forgot about the man who changed your life/ wanting to keep me behind closed doors/ if you meet me at a bar […] don’t make me change the past/ I was like this since day one,” goes the chorus.

The official music video—recorded on Dec. 10, just one month before an airplane crash claimed the lives of six people, including Jiménez and his manager, Jefferson Osorio—shows Jiménez’s joyful spirit, magnetic charm and relentless passion that fueled his dreams, as well as never-before-seen concert clips and the supportive camaraderie he had with his team.
