Jojo Siwa says she’s on the mend following a scary medical episode last week. On Tuesday (Dec. 2), the singer/dancer gave fans an update on her recovery from what she said was a burst ovarian cyst that bled into her stomach.

“It’s been nothing short of an eventful weekend that’s for sure!🤍 Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers! I’m happy to say I’m doing a bit better, I’m not in the clear yet, but feeling better and doing well!,” Siwa wrote on Instagram. “I had a bit of a scare with a fever the night after I went to the hospital, but slept and woke up fever free and have been since! 🤍 resting when I can and drinking lots and lots of electrolytes! Keeping it pushing!” she added.

Siwa thanked all the fans for checking in and sending her kind messages in the post that also featured a photo gallery of her performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. on Friday (Nov. 28), which took place even after she was hospitalized with what she previously described as “excruciating” stomach pain just hours before showtime.

In the snaps, Siwa, 22, is seen smiling and waving to the crowd at the Black Friday mall event while wearing a bedazzled No. 23 jersey and black pants with colorful holiday decorations. She assured fans that “aside from all the drama with my Cyster” she’s had fun all week visiting different dance studios across America to teach fans the choreo to her new holiday song, “Message to the World (Little Drummer Girl).”

“It hasn’t been easy and I’ve been up and down with pain, but seeing the SMILES on the kids faces while dancing and hanging out for a little bit makes it so worth it!!,” she wrote. The post also featured the shots of her looking pained in a gurney at the hospital while giving a wan thumbs-up, as well as the singer getting loaded into an ambulance and displaying a thermometer reading 100 degrees.

In a TikTok video last week, Dace Moms alum Siwa described dealing with persistent discomfort for several days, which was made worse by walking, dancing or moving. “Every time that I’ve been dancing for the last couple of days or even just walking, my stomach would just really, really hurt,” she said at the time. After thinking it was menstrual cramps pain and calling her mom for advice, Siwa called an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors told her that one of her ovaries had a cyst on it and that it had burst and was bleeding into her stomach.

Happy days are indeed here again for Wicked fans, as Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo surprised attendees at an intimate Hollywood event on Tuesday (Dec. 2) with a command performance of “Get Happy”/”Happy Days Are Here Again.”

In honor of awards season kicking into gear, Universal Pictures hosted a gathering at The Aster members club, where guests were treated to dinner and cocktails following a screening of Wicked: For Good — which hit theaters internationally just a couple of weeks prior on Nov. 21 — at TCL Chinese 6 Theatre down the street, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Later in the night, the film’s two leading ladies jumped up on stage and sang “For Good,” their standout duet from the musical duology’s second act.

Next, Grande and Erivo performed the “Happy” mashup, which they first sang together for NBC’s November Wicked: One Wonderful Night concert special. Wearing a draped white gown, the R.E.M. Beauty founder took on Judy Garland’s part while the Color Purple Tony winner — who wore a dress of black netting — nailed Barbra Streisand’s vocals from the two Hollywood legends’ iconic 1963 version of the medley.

After belting out the dynamic final notes of the duet, Grande and Erivo wrapped each other in a hug as the small audience thundered with applause.

Though the two women’s version of the mashup Tuesday night belongs to those lucky enough to attend the Universal event, their live Wicked: One Wonderful Night rendition is available to stream — as are the rest of the numbers the Wicked cast performed during the concert special. After it aired on NBC, the production company dropped an album compiling all of the live recordings from the night.

The Wicked: For Good soundtrack is also now available for playback, arriving on streaming services the same day the sequel premiered in theaters. On the Billboard 200 chart dated Dec. 6, the soundtrack debuts at No. 2, just underneath Stray Kids’ Do It EP.

British star Dua Lipa surprised fans at her second concert in Mexico City on Tuesday night (Dec. 2) by inviting Maná‘s Fher Olvera to perform a duet of the Mexican band’s classic 1992 hit “Oye Mi Amor.” The GNP Seguros Stadium turned into a massive karaoke session celebrating one of the most iconic rock en español bands in the world.

“Tonight we are very lucky because we have someone very special who is going to sing with us,” the London diva expressed in Spanish before introducing Olvera, who stepped onto the stage amid a storm of applause. The crowd’s ovation grew louder when the unmistakable guitar chords of the song – one of Maná’s most popular tracks – began to play.

The moment was celebrated by the 65,000 attendees (according to Ocesa’s figures) gathered in the iconic capital stadium and went viral on social media soon after. Check out this fan-shared video of the special moment.

The “Oye Mi Amor” cover came after Dua performed Consuelito Velázquez’s classic “Bésame Mucho” on Monday during the first of three concerts that make up the Mexican leg of her Radical Optimism Tour, which is set to conclude on Friday (Dec. 5) at the same stadium.

The list of covers Lipa has performed by acts from Latin America and Spain since May includes: “Héroe” by Enrique Iglesias in Spain; “De Música Ligera” by Soda Stereo in Argentina; and “Tu Falta de Querer” by Mon Laferte and “El Duelo” by La Ley in Chile. In Brazil, she thrilled fans with “Magalenha” by Sergio Mendes, singing alongside Brazilian artist Carlinhos Brown. In Peru, she danced to “Cariñito” in a duet with Mauricio Mesones, while in Colombia she charmed with “Antología” by Shakira.

The conclusion of her world tour in Mexico strengthens the love affair between the artist and the Latin American country. Dua previously performed in 2017 at the Corona Capital festival and in September 2022 at the Foro Sol (now the GNP Seguros Stadium).

As the transgender community continues to face unprecedented attacks, pop and R&B superstar Mariah Carey is doing her part to make sure the community is being represented properly.

On Wednesday (Dec. 3), LGBTQ+ advocacy organization GLAAD announced their new partnership with Carey, who is auctioning off her rhinestoned “Protect the Dolls” jacket in support of the non-profit’s continued efforts advocating on behalf of the trans community.

Carey wore the now-iconic jacket during her Aug. 2 performance at Brighton, England’s Pride in the Park festival earlier this year. The hot pink jacket features the phrase “Protect the Dolls” emblazoned across the back — a reference to the oft-cited phrase of support for the trans community.

While the phrase’s use dates back to the ballroom scene of the 1980s, “Protect the Dolls” became more widely known in 2025 after fashion designer Conner Ives featured the slogan in large, bold letters across a white t-shirt during his London Fashion Week show as a show of solidarity and fundraising for the trans community. Since then, celebrities including Pedro Pascal, Troye Sivan, Charli xcx, Addison Rae and more have worn the slogan as a show of support for the trans community.

GLAAD’s auction for Carey’s jacket begins on Monday (Dec. 8) at 3 p.m. ET. All proceeds raised from the auction are set to benefit the organization’s Transgender Media Program, an outreach program designed to help media professionals accurately cover and tell stories about the trans community.

Carey, meanwhile, is in the midst of her annual resurgence to chart dominance — earlier this week, the Elusive Chanteuse’s perennial holiday hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” continued its rise up the Billboard Hot 100, landing at No. 5. The 1994 holiday track has topped the Hot 100 for at least one week every year since it first reached the summit of the chart in Dec. 2019.

Burna Boy is stepping up to pay for the funerals of four individuals slain in a Stockton, Calif., mass shooting on Saturday (Nov. 29). The afrobeats star pledged to cover the costs of the funerals after learning about the heartbreaking shooting at a children’s birthday party in North Stockton.

“When I heard about the children murdered in Stockton, my heart broke. After hearing the story on The Breakfast Club, I reached out to Wack 100 and connected with Jason Lee because no family should ever face this kind of pain alone,” Burna Boy said in a press statement. “I wanted to do whatever I could to support these parents as they begin the long process of healing.”

Burna was also particularly moved by the story of Amari Peterson, a 14-year-old academic and athletic standout, who was tragically murdered. “Burna Boy’s generosity is an example of how people around the world want to help, even when they’ve never met the families impacted,” Stockton Vice Mayor and Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee said.

At a vigil for victims over the weekend, Lee added, “It’s never been gangsta to kill kids. Never. You went in a birthday party and shot people’s children. Parents brought their children out and they left with medical examiners. That is not human.”

According to NBC News, the shooter remains on the run. Law enforcement is searching for an unidentified individual, but there may have been multiple shooters.

At least 100 people gathered at a banquet hall in North Stockton for a children’s birthday party on Saturday when gunfire erupted around 6 p.m. PT. Eleven people were wounded and subsequently hospitalized. Outside of 14-year-old Peterson, the ages of the victims were eight, nine and 21.

Burna Boy is doing plenty of giving back this holiday season. The Grammy-winning artist stopped by the Boston Arts Academy earlier this week, where he committed to sponsoring the school’s Free Bodega program to support students’ needs on a day-to-day basis.

And while those are all features that users have come to expect over the years, Spotify unveiled several new goodies this time around. In 2025, Wrapped will also show you your top albums, your “listening age” based on the release years of the tracks you streamed the most, AI-powered stats tracking your biggest listening days of the year, and your assignment into one of six “clubs” determining what kind of music listener you are.
