British star Dua Lipa surprised fans at her second concert in Mexico City on Tuesday night (Dec. 2) by inviting Maná‘s Fher Olvera to perform a duet of the Mexican band’s classic 1992 hit “Oye Mi Amor.” The GNP Seguros Stadium turned into a massive karaoke session celebrating one of the most iconic rock en español bands in the world.

“Tonight we are very lucky because we have someone very special who is going to sing with us,” the London diva expressed in Spanish before introducing Olvera, who stepped onto the stage amid a storm of applause. The crowd’s ovation grew louder when the unmistakable guitar chords of the song – one of Maná’s most popular tracks – began to play.

The moment was celebrated by the 65,000 attendees (according to Ocesa’s figures) gathered in the iconic capital stadium and went viral on social media soon after. Check out this fan-shared video of the special moment.

The “Oye Mi Amor” cover came after Dua performed Consuelito Velázquez’s classic “Bésame Mucho” on Monday during the first of three concerts that make up the Mexican leg of her Radical Optimism Tour, which is set to conclude on Friday (Dec. 5) at the same stadium.

The list of covers Lipa has performed by acts from Latin America and Spain since May includes: “Héroe” by Enrique Iglesias in Spain; “De Música Ligera” by Soda Stereo in Argentina; and “Tu Falta de Querer” by Mon Laferte and “El Duelo” by La Ley in Chile. In Brazil, she thrilled fans with “Magalenha” by Sergio Mendes, singing alongside Brazilian artist Carlinhos Brown. In Peru, she danced to “Cariñito” in a duet with Mauricio Mesones, while in Colombia she charmed with “Antología” by Shakira.

The conclusion of her world tour in Mexico strengthens the love affair between the artist and the Latin American country. Dua previously performed in 2017 at the Corona Capital festival and in September 2022 at the Foro Sol (now the GNP Seguros Stadium).

Burna Boy is stepping up to pay for the funerals of four individuals slain in a Stockton, Calif., mass shooting on Saturday (Nov. 29). The afrobeats star pledged to cover the costs of the funerals after learning about the heartbreaking shooting at a children’s birthday party in North Stockton.

“When I heard about the children murdered in Stockton, my heart broke. After hearing the story on The Breakfast Club, I reached out to Wack 100 and connected with Jason Lee because no family should ever face this kind of pain alone,” Burna Boy said in a press statement. “I wanted to do whatever I could to support these parents as they begin the long process of healing.”

Burna was also particularly moved by the story of Amari Peterson, a 14-year-old academic and athletic standout, who was tragically murdered. “Burna Boy’s generosity is an example of how people around the world want to help, even when they’ve never met the families impacted,” Stockton Vice Mayor and Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee said.

At a vigil for victims over the weekend, Lee added, “It’s never been gangsta to kill kids. Never. You went in a birthday party and shot people’s children. Parents brought their children out and they left with medical examiners. That is not human.”

According to NBC News, the shooter remains on the run. Law enforcement is searching for an unidentified individual, but there may have been multiple shooters.

At least 100 people gathered at a banquet hall in North Stockton for a children’s birthday party on Saturday when gunfire erupted around 6 p.m. PT. Eleven people were wounded and subsequently hospitalized. Outside of 14-year-old Peterson, the ages of the victims were eight, nine and 21.

Burna Boy is doing plenty of giving back this holiday season. The Grammy-winning artist stopped by the Boston Arts Academy earlier this week, where he committed to sponsoring the school’s Free Bodega program to support students’ needs on a day-to-day basis.

Weezer bassist Scott Shriner’s wife, author Jillian Lauren-Shriner, has reportedly filed for divorce from the rocker after 20 years of marriage. According to People, Lauren-Shriner, 52, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, with no additional information available on the filing date, including the date of separation.

The filing came eight months after Lauren-Shriner was shot by police near the couple’s home on April 8 in Los Angeles in the midst of a manhunt for three suspects in an alleged hit-and-run in the couple’s Eagle Rock neighborhood. According to police, while Lauren-Shriner was not involved in the hit-and-run incident, she allegedly fired a weapon at an officer while in a backyard after officials said she repeatedly ignored their commands to drop her gun.

Lauren-Shriner was charged with two felony counts in the incident and pled not guilty on May 13 to charges of discharging a firearm with gross negligence and assault with a semiautomatic firearm; those charges were less severe than the initial charges the author faced when she was booked on suspicion of attempted murder following the bizarre incident.

Officers said that when the LAPD encountered Lauren-Shriner she refused to lower her weapon and aimed it at officers, leading to a shootout in which she sustained a non-life-threatening wound to the shoulder; no officers were injured in the incident. She was allowed to enter a two-year mental health diversion program instead of doing jail time, according to documents reportedly obtained by People.

At press time a spokesperson for Weezer had not returned Billboard‘s request for confirmation of the divorce proceedings.

The couple, who married in Nov. 2005 in Hawaii, have two children, son Jovanni Starshine, 13 and Tariku Moon, 17, and Lauren-Shriner is reportedly seeking joint legal and physical custody. She is also reportedly asking for spousal support and and that Shriner, 60, pay her attorney fees and that her last name be restored to Lauren.

Lauren-Shriner revealed on Instagram in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and that she’d undergone two back-to-back surgeries, including a full hysterectomy.

Bad Bunny dominates the majority of this year’s Spotify Wrapped Global Top Lists, which Billboard can exclusively reveal today (Dec. 3). 

Overall, the Puerto Rican star ranked No. 1 as the Global Top Artist of 2025. In second place among artists is Taylor Swift, followed in order by The Weeknd, Drake, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Arijit Singh, and Fuerza Regida. 

Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS album—which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January — also ranked as the Global Top Album of 2025. The set is followed by popular productions KPop Demon Hunters (KPop Demon Hunters Cast, HUNTR/X, Saja Boys), HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (Billie Eilish), SOS Deluxe: LANA (SZA), and Short n’ Sweet (Sabrina Carpenter).

As for the Latin categories, Música Mexicana ranked as the No. 1 Latin genre for a second consecutive year, followed by reggaetón; and among the Top 10 Global Genres, reggaetón, urbano Latino, and Música Mexicana ranked No. 5, No. 6, and No. 8, respectively. Additionally, salsa, merengue, and guaracha saw double-digit growth, both globally and in the U.S. 

For a sixth year in a row, Karol G ranked as the Top Most-Streamed Female Latin Artists in the U.S. and globally, joined by Shakira, Kali Uchis, Emilia, Young Miko, and Maria Becerra.
