Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream

$15.90 $33.00 52% off

Buy Now On Amazon

A hydrating jelly-like cream.

Medicube is beloved by Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and IVE’s Wonyoung, so you know it works. This Collagen Jelly Cream focuses on boosting hydration while firming and smoothing out uneven skin tones.

As the name suggests, collagen is the main ingredient in this product, hydrolyzed collagen to be exact. If you didn’t know, collagen is a naturally occurring protein in the skin that is crucial for maintaining firmness, elasticity and hydration. Now, hydrolyzed collagen just means that the proteins were broken down into smaller pieces, enhancing absorption. This naturally occurring protein is lacking for some, which means this cream could come in handy to replace and replenish, giving your skin that youthful “glass skin” glow.

Kitsch Stainless Steel Gua Sha Facial Tool

$9.09 $11.99 24% off

Buy Now On Amazon

A stainless steel facial tool to de-puff.

It’s time to embrace the natural face you were given, enhancing your looks with natural tips and tricks. A good way to help reduce puffiness is with a gua sha tool. You know it works because gua sha — a healing therapy — has been used in beauty routines in China going back thousands of years. The scraping tool — which can be made of various hard materials such as stone and jade — has since been adapted to provide different benefits. Kitsch’s gua sha tool is made of stainless steel, a material that works to cool and help depuff the skin.

Stainless steel is also non-porous, meaning it won’t harbor bacteria or moisture like would. This also means your products will absorb better. In general, gua sha tools are used to massage the body in tandem with an oil or moisturizer, promoting blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage is just a fancy way of saying you’re moving extra fluid from a swollen area into an area where the lymph nodes will work to drain said fluid.

A sunblock that reads “Broad-spectrum” simply means it protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. These pesky rays can cause skin cancer and premature aging if the skin is left unprotected. The Sun Stick is super compact, small enough to chuck in your bag or fanny pack making it perfect for festival season for application on the fly.

NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Fat Oil Lip Drip in Shade 06 Follow Back

$7.48 $9.00 17% off

Buy Now On Amazon

A glittering lip oil a neutral glossy hue.

Juicy lips are simply elite in our book. If you’re ready to get glossy for summer, NYX’s Fat Oil Lip Drip is available on sale at Amazon. You’ve got 14 unique shades from clear to pink to choose from. Our favorite? 06 Follow Back, a coral hue with flecks of glitter suspended throughout. The beauty about NYX’s lip oil, and lip oils in general, is that they’re not sticky.

The formula is oil based rather than a sticky gel base, meaning the product sits comfortably on the lips without leaving an uncomfortable residue. These lip oils offer up to 12 hours of hydration, while the tint is even and buildable. We like the glitter flecks because they catch the light, offering the lips a three-dimensional finish. If you don’t like the glitter, there are plenty of finishes to choose from that aren’t jam-packed with shine.

Zach Bryan has upset the United States government with his new song, and he hasn’t even released it yet.

Days after the singer posted a snippet of a forthcoming track that included the lyric “ICE is gonna come bust down your door,” a representative for the White House shared a statement with Newsweek on Tuesday (Oct. 7) slamming Bryan. But while spokesperson Abigail Jackson may not be a fan of the unreleased piece of music, she showed that she’s at least a big enough fan of the Grammy winner to know the titles of his other songs, which she sprinkled throughout the statement.

Related

“While Zach Bryan wants to Open the Gates to criminal illegal aliens and has Condemned heroic ICE officers, Something in the Orange tells me a majority of Americans disagree with him and support President Trump’s great American Revival,” Jackson said. “Godspeed, Zach!”

Billboard has reached out to Bryan’s rep for comment.

The statement comes four days after the musician shared a clip of the unreleased song in question on Instagram. The full verse finds him crooning, “I heard the cops came/ Cocky motherf–kers, ain’t they?/ And ICE is gonna come bust down your door/ Try to build a house no one builds no more/ But I got a telephone/ Kids are all scared and all alone.”

In the caption, Bryan wrote, “The fading of the red white and blue.”

Though the artist has previously posed with Donald Trump for a photo, it now seems he’s one of many Americans against the White House’s ongoing mass deportations, which the president has been promising to carry out since the beginning of his 2024 campaign. Numerous other artists have also spoken out about the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids on immigrant communities in different parts of the country.

Jackson also isn’t the only government official to comment on Bryan’s new song. Also on Tuesday, Tricia McLaughlin — the assistant secretary of public affairs to the Department of Homeland Security — told Billboard in a statement, “Stick to ‘Pink Skies,’ dude.”

Pooh Shiesty is home. Reps for the Memphis rapper confirmed to Billboard on Monday (Oct. 6) that he’s been released from prison after more than three years behind bars.

Footage of Pooh Shiesty back home and celebrating regaining his freedom emerged on social media on Monday. While fans were elated, many were surprised, since Shiesty’s original release date was slated for April 2026.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons database system also revealed that the “Back in Blood” rapper was no longer in BOP custody. Shiesty (real name Lontrell Williams) had been behind bars in federal prison since 2022, serving a 63-month sentence on firearm conspiracy charges.

The charges stemmed from an October 2020 shooting in Bay Harbor Islands, Fla. Prosecutors argued that Pooh Shiesty and two others met up to make a deal for marijuana and high-end sneakers, but an altercation transpired outside the Landon Hotel and the two sellers were shot. Both survived.

Shiesty was indicted on four counts related to the shooting. After posting bond, the rapper was arrested for a shooting at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami in May 2021.

He reached a plea deal in January 2022 for one charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to drop three counts, including one that he was the gunman. He was sentenced to five years and three months in April 2022.

“I am elated that Pooh has been released after three years,” Pooh Shiesty’s attorney, Drew Findling, told XXL. “The government fought hard to give him 10, but after listening to the case, the judge agreed with us that it was not appropriate and gave him a sentence that resulted in him serving three years. I know he will come back bigger than ever and definitely learned from this experience. He is excited to start the next chapter of his story. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and I think that this is just the beginning of his second act.”

The 25-year-old has remained pretty quiet on the music front during his prison sentence. Shiesty’s last single, “Federal Contraband 2,” arrived on Christmas Day 2023.

Nearly two years after their engagement, Sara Bareilles and her longtime love actor Joe Tippett are married. The couple announced the happy news on Tuesday morning (Oct. 7) in an Instagram post featuring snaps from the nuptials and the caption, “We did a big thing. I will just say I love this man and I love the community who came to hold us up. I am feeling so lucky and so grateful. ❤️.”

In the accompanying photo roll the happy couple are seen sharing a sweet kiss from what looks like a woodsy, backyard affair, with the Mare of Easttown actor wearing a white shirt with a burgundy tie, dark green dark vest and matching slim pants and brown boots and Bareilles, 45, holding a bouquet and wearing a floor-length ivory gown with a high thigh slit and plunging neckline. A candid shot captures Bareilles with a wide smile standing under a grove of flowering trees, followed by one of Tippett, 43, appearing to smile back at her while dressed in his three-piece suit.

Even the couple’s cute pooch got in on the action, as evidenced by a snap of the black and white dog walking down the aisle in advance of Bareilles while decked out in a miniature tuxedo.

In a separate post, Tippett is seen hugging and staring into his beloved’s eyes through a window, followed by a video of the pair talking and snogging, with their intimate conversation muted by the glass partition. “Marrying My Best Friend Today,” Tippett wrote on Saturday (Oct. 4), which appears to be the day they tied the knot. “May We All Be So Lucky.”

They got plenty of good wishes from their celeb pals, including Hilary Swank (“Congratulations, you two beauties!”), The Paper comedian/actor Alex Edelman (“SARAAAAAAAAAAA”), fellow musicians Brandy Clark (“Big congrats!!!!! You both look beautiful ❤️❤️”), Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles (“So beautiful!!!! The wedding and the people and the Love!!! ❤️”) and John Legend (“Congratulations! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”) as well as Reese Witherspoon, who added, “AHHHH! I love this love story.”

According to People, the couple met in summer 2015 while working on the musical adaptation of Adrienne Shelly’s 2007 movie Waitress, with Bareilles writing the score for the musical that earned her a Tony nomination and a Grammy for best musical theater album; they got engaged in January 2023.

In a post announcing the engagement news, Bareilles wrote, “Yes to marrying this man. It’s an easy, earned, relaxed YES. @joetipps you are exactly who I want. The more I know you the more I know I love you…and you have introduced me to parts of myself I was afraid to love. And now I love ME more because of you. So really this is all about me. Just kidding. What a gift you are. Let the games begin. Onward into absolutely everything with you.”

Morgan Wallen adds another record to his already historic run on Billboard’s country charts. His collaboration with featured artist Tate McRae, “What I Want,” becomes just the 10th title in the history of the Hot Country Songs chart (which dates to 1958 as the genre’s singular songs survey) to spend at least 20 weeks at No. 1.

Related

The feat on the Oct. 11-dated survey makes Wallen the first solo act with multiple 20-week leaders, following 2023’s “Last Night,” which topped the tally for 25 weeks. Only Florida Georgia Line previously met that mark twice, with “Cruise” and “Meant to Be,” the latter with Bebe Rexha.

Most Weeks at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs:

  • 50, “Meant to Be,” Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line, beginning Dec. 16, 2017
  • 45, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey, May 4, 2024
  • 34, “Body Like a Back Road,” Sam Hunt, Feb. 25, 2018
  • 27, “I Hope,” Gabby Barrett, July 25, 2020
  • 25, “Last Night,” Morgan Wallen, Feb. 18, 2023
  • 24, “Fancy Like,” Walker Hayes, July 24, 2021
  • 24, “Cruise,” Florida Georgia Line, Dec. 22, 2012
  • 21, “10,000 Hours,” Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber, Oct. 19, 2019
  • 20, “What I Want,” Morgan Wallen feat. Tate McRae, May 31, 2025
  • 20, “I Remember Everything,” Zach Bryan feat. Kacey Musgraves, Sept. 9, 2023

“What I Want” is from Wallen’s 37-song LP I’m the Problem, which debuted at No. 1 on Top Country Albums in May and has remained there for 20 straight weeks. His earlier collections One Thing at a Time (2023) and Dangerous: The Double Album (2021) spent a combined 184 weeks at No. 1 and remain in the top five, at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. The latter set dominated for a record 97 weeks.

Notably, “What I Want” has been promoted to pop radio, having reached No. 5 on Adult Pop Airplay and No. 6 on Pop Airplay. I’m the Problem, on Mercury/Big Loud/Republic, has spun off four No. 1s on the Country Airplay chart, with latest single “I Got Better” aiming to make it five, as it rises to No. 3 on the latest ranking.

Practice makes perfect, even for the pros. In honor of Wicked: For Good coming soon to theaters, Ariana Grande has shared a clip of one of her early rehearsals with Cynthia Erivo on the set of the films, giving fans a peek at how they brought fan-favorite song “Popular” to life on screen.

Related

The video posted to Instagram on Monday (Oct. 6) opens with the two leading ladies sitting side by side on a prop bed. “Locked timing, take 1,” Grande — wearing a pink sweater to match her character, Glinda — tells the camera.

The pop star then proceeds to sing a few bars of “Popular,” her version of which appears in the first Wicked film and soundtrack. As she performs, she practices wrapping a pink sash around her costar before humorously pushing her costar down onto the bed when Erivo tries to get up.

“That’s the bit,” Grande says after snapping out of Glinda mode, with director Jon M. Chu exclaiming from behind the camera, “That is the timing, locked in!”

“tickets on sale in two days @wickedmovie for good,” she captioned the clip before revealing how long ago she and Erivo practiced the sequence. “(rehearsal, september 2022).”

The video shows just how meticulous the Wicked team was when choreographing the musical numbers for the films, with Grande and Erivo performing those same movements as rehearsed in the final cut of “Popular” for the first movie. This November, the saga will come to an end when For Good hits theaters almost exactly a year after Wicked premiered in 2024.

The R.E.M. Beauty founder has been open in the past about how seriously she took preparations for Wicked, from extensive voice lessons to dance rehearsals. “I started training every single day with my vocal coach for two-and-a-half, three months before my first audition, and my acting coach,” she said last year. “I just wanted to be prepared to use any tool needed whatever was asked, I wanted to be able to drop in and do it and really become [Glinda].”

50 Cent has been relentless in his trolling of Diddy for the entirety of Sean Combs’ federal prostitution case. After Donald Trump revealed to reporters on Monday (Oct. 6) that Diddy’s team had asked him about a potential pardon, 50 looked to remind the president about the disparaging remarks Sean Combs had made about him in the past.

Related

“Man you can’t get No pardon running ya mouth like that! LOL Get Out of here,” 50 captioned the post on Monday evening (Oct. 6).

The clip in 50’s post featured previous statements from Diddy criticizing Trump following the 2020 election, with the incarcerated mogul saying, “White men like Trump need to be banished … the No. 1 priority is to get Trump out of office.”

Trump spoke to Newsmax in August about how he used to be cool with Diddy, but then the embattled Bad Boy founder became critical of him when Trump entered the political world and ran for president. “I was very friendly with him, I got along with him great and he seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well. But when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” the president said.

Diddy’s trial concluded with his sentencing on Friday (Oct. 3), which saw Combs sentenced to 50 months in prison for violating federal prostitution laws.

While taking questions from reporters at the Oval Office on Monday, Donald Trump confirmed that Combs and his team reached out to ask about a potential pardon. “A lot of people have asked me for pardons. I call him Puff Daddy,” Trump said, referencing Diddy’s nickname. “He has asked me for a pardon.”

Back in May, Trump said he’d “look at the facts” for a potential pardon for Diddy, but also told Newsmax that because of their relationship souring that it would make it “more difficult to do.”

50 Cent trolled Diddy when the 50-month sentencing came down Friday, posting a sketch of Diddy getting teary-eyed in court, which he’s since deleted. “Hey to whoever was booking Diddy for speaking engagements,” he wrote on Instagram. “I heard he won’t be able to make it, I’m available!”

Here for It All launches with nearly 47,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending Oct. 2, according to Luminate, with traditional album sales comprising 39,000 of that sum. In addition to its No. 1 bow on Top Album Sales, the set also leads Top Current Album Sales, Top R&B Albums and Independent Albums. When the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inducted seven new members on Monday (Oct. 6), it honored a diverse group that included four artist-writers and three dedicated composers.

That blend is appropriate — in modern-day country, the majority of hits come from getting an artist in a room with people who make a living strictly by writing.

It’s a different world since the turn of the century, when the two worlds combined less often. Songs were primarily developed by professional songwriters, and the artist’s job was often to find the material that best fit their specific voice and beliefs.

The entrants this year include artists Emmylou Harris, Jim Lauderdale and Brad Paisley, who is receiving his 2024 induction after requesting a deferment. The late J.J. Cale — best known for penning Eric Clapton’s “After Midnight” — is the fourth artist who will be honored, selected as a legacy submission.

The full-time writers include Steve Bogard (“Carrying Your Love With Me,” “Praying for Daylight”), Don Cook (“Brand New Man,” “Lady Lay Down”) and Tony Martin (“Just To See You Smile,” “Baby’s Gotten Good at Goodbye”), who says no matter what artistic talents people bring to the process, everyone is a writer when the words are paired to music.

“Once you’re in the little square room, you’re just trying to come up with the best song,” Martin notes. “Even the artists will become [full-time writers], too.”

Still, artists are more involved than ever in that process. On Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated Sept. 26, 16 of the top 20 songs featured both an artist and full-time writers among the credits. Three titles were created strictly by writers, and one song, Riley Green’s “Don’t Mind If I Do,” was authored by an artist working alone.

Those numbers were significantly different 25 years ago. On the chart  dated Sept. 30, 2000, artists and full-time writers co-composed just six of the top 20 tracks. Eleven were fashioned exclusively by full-time writers, while three songs — Toby Keith’s “Country Comes to Town,” Travis Tritt’s “Best of Intentions” and Vince Gill’s “Feels Like Love” —were the result of an artist writing in seclusion.

There are several reasons for that change in authorship. The most obvious is financial: Songwriting provides an additional revenue stream for artists, many of whom operate at a loss before they reach headline status. But artists seem to increasingly want their songs to reflect their real lives. Barbara Mandrell and Crystal Gayle — classic country artists who never wrote any of their own hits — were known to tell interviewers that they were simply playing a part when they sang about cheating or heartbreak. Current country artists —  who interact more frequently, and less formally, with their fan base through social media — are more intent on releasing music that fits their realities.

“I’ve written with a couple of artists that really weren’t writers, but I would get their ongoing approval as we went along,” Cook says. “That kind of helped form the song — ‘Yeah, I’ll sing that,’ ‘That sounds like me,’ ‘That doesn’t sound like me.’ That’s, to me, as good as co-writing. I mean, you’re leading me to where you need to go with the song. And that’s fine.”

The presence of an artist can also shape the musical components of a song. An appointment with Carrie Underwood is more likely to yield a piece with an expansive melodic range that builds to a crescendo during the final 30-60 seconds. A write with Morgan Wallen will probably result in a more linear melody and conversational phrasing.

Full-time writers have their own financial realities in mind as they navigate careers that are unpredictable and insecure — they’re more than happy to follow an artist who’s decisive about their brand.

“After you’ve written a lot of your songs — the songs that you want to write from your heart — then it ends up sometimes you just got a toolbox,” Bogard says, “and you want to make the other person’s songs the best songs they can be: the most commercial, the most heavy, the most heartwarming.”

Some relationships between a writer and a specific artist are crucial. Mike Reid, a 2005 inductee in the Nashville Songwriters Hall, racked up 11 Ronnie Milsap hits during the 1980s, including “Stranger in My House,” “Inside” and “Lost in the Fifties Tonight (In the Still of the Night).” Bob McDill, a 1985 Hall inductee, landed 14 Don Williams hits, exemplified by “It Must Be Love,” “If Hollywood Don’t Need You” and “Good Ole Boys Like Me.” Dean Dillon, who entered the Hall in 2002, has logged 16 George Strait hits.

Cook amassed 10 Brooks & Dunn hits, though he wasn’t simply adapting his skill set to the duo’s brand. The initial writing, he argues, established their sound and identity.

“Brooks & Dunn were not Brooks & Dunn until we wrote eight songs for their first album,” Cook recalls. “And the reason we wrote them is we couldn’t get anybody to play us their best songs because they didn’t know who Brooks & Dunn was. So it was a blessing that we had to sit down and figure it out.”

Artist co-writes tend to be hit-and-miss. If the song is tailored to one particular act who ultimately passes, it may not connect with a different artist. By the same token, fitting a song around an artist’s life gives it a greater chance.

“We had a song with Dierks [Bentley]called ‘Long Trip Alone,’ and it had a line that he knew his wife would go crazy [over], ‘Rest beneath your smile,’ ” Bogard recounts. “So that song was a lock instantly because he said, ‘Cassidy is going to love that line, and we’ve got to finish this song.’ Every day is different.”

Ultimately, this year’s Songwriters Hall mix of artist-writers and full-time writers reflects a mutual need that’s developed in the creative community. Artists’ schedules are jammed — they can use every bit of help they can get. Writers, in the digital era, need hits more than ever since album cuts don’t generate income. Crafting the song to an artist’s abilities is advantageous.

“You like to think that you’re in the room because they like something that you do,” Martin says. “I’ve written with a lot of really good writers who are great singers but don’t necessarily have record deals, and the artist loves their singing, loves their melodic instincts, and so they’re there for that reason. You’re just looking for those creative wins that bring something new.”
