The countdown has officially begun: Bad Bunny is gearing up to take the stage at the 2026 Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. While the big game may still be months away, the excitement surrounding this announcement — made just this past Sunday (Sep. 28) — is already reaching a fever pitch.

The event marks a full-circle moment for the Puerto Rican megastar, who first graced the halftime stage as a guest during Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s iconic 2020 performance. This time, however, it’s his show — la vibra, la energía, and the cultural pride of his meteoric rise all distilled into what promises to be an unforgettable 13-minute spectacle.

“I’m really excited for my friends, my family, Puerto Rico — all the Latino people around the world. I’m excited about my culture, not just for me,” Bad Bunny told hosts Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden during their Apple Music’s Halftime Headliner Special. The international superstar is also fresh off wrapping up his highly ambitious residency at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on September 20.

And there’s no mistaking what’s at stake. In the span of just a few short years, Bad Bunny has become a global phenomenon: charting an astounding 113 Hot 100 hits, winning three Grammys, 12 Latin Grammys, and achieving four No. 1s on the Billboard 200 — all while revolutionizing the music landscape by turning Spanish-language hits into undeniable pop smashes. From 2020’s El Último Tour del Mundo to 2025’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, every era of his career has left an indelible mark, crossing boundaries of language and geography.

With past halftime shows offering everything from hypnotic military-like choreography (The Weeknd) to West Coast domination (Dr. Dre and friends) to unapologetic cultural statements (Shakira, J.Lo, and Rihanna), we can only imagine what Bad Bunny has in store. He’s proven himself as a creative force on stages across the globe — from his electrifying Coachella set to his record-breaking residency in Puerto Rico. Factor in Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Apple Music’s joint production, and the potential is beyond limitless.

With just about 13 minutes to condense a catalog stacked with hits, deep cuts, and career-defining moments, we can’t help but dream up what El Conejo Malo might bring to the field for his historic halftime show. From energy-packed anthems to moments of heartfelt connection, here’s our ideal setlist for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl takeover.

Travis Kelce may have kept it 100 on most things this summer, but the extent of his knowledge about Taylor Swift‘s The Life of a Showgirl may not have been one of them.

With just a few days left to go until the release of the pop star’s new album, Swifties think that they have retroactively discovered a moment where Swift’s now-fiancé dropped an Easter egg about the project weeks before it was even announced. The clue in question has to do with the phrase, “Keep it 100,” which appears on the back of a handheld mirror fans found Tuesday (Sept. 30) on the first day of Spotify’s new The Life of a Showgirl pop-up in New York City.

The phrase — which means being “authentic and truthful,” per Dictionary.com — possibly relates to a lyric on one of the songs on Swift’s new LP, which drops on Friday (Oct. 3). Spotify promised that the pop-up would give fans the chance to “discover hidden Easter eggs … all inspired by the album.”

But “Kept it 100” was also used by Kelce in a July post on Instagram. Sharing a batch of never-before-seen photos of himself and his then-girlfriend having fun over the summer, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wrote in the caption at the time, “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it [100].”

It didn’t take long for fans to connect the mirror inside the Spotify pop-up back to Kelce’s months-old post. “he dropped an easter egg before the album was even announced omg,” one person wrote on X, sharing side-by-side photos of the clues.

“oh so travis has been upgraded to an elite easter egg dropper huh,” another fan posted.

The “Keep it 100” mirror is just one of many fascinating objects Swifties have been finding at Spotify’s Life of a Showgirl immersive experience, which will be open to fans through Thursday (Oct. 2). Fans have also reported seeing “Happy Valentine’s Day” notes, loose jewelry and what appears to be a lyric — “Oftentimes it doesn’t feel glamorous to be me” — scrawled on a mirror inside of the pop-up.

And while there’s no telling which other Easter eggs Kelce may have personally dropped leading up to the release of The Life of a Showgirl, we already know he’s been essential to the album’s rollout in other ways. Swift first announced the project via an appearance on the football player’s New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce, and Travis has kept fans wanting more with hints about the album’s sound.

“I know [Taylor] mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats, but it’s just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff,” the Happy Gilmore 2 star said on another episode of New Heights. “It’s just so much fun to listen to, man. I’ve been dancing all throughout the house.”

Afrobeats superproducers Sarz and Spinall curate expansive sonic worlds that remain rooted in their native continent on the Protect Sarz At All Costs and ÈKÓ GROOVE albums, respectively, while calling on an all-star cast of collaborators like Wizkid, Victony, Teni and many more. And while Big Wiz is busy stacking paper with Asake and Skillibeng on “Getting Paid” from Protect Sarz At All Costs, the “Cash Flow” never ceases on his and Young Jonn’s collaboration.

We’ve highlighted 10 of our favorite new songs by African acts that have come out roughly within the last month. Check out our latest Fresh Picks, and start the fall season on the right note with our Spotify playlist below.

Young Jonn feat. Wizkid, “Cash Flow”

“Cash Flow” everywhere Young Jonn and Wizkid go, according to their bountiful club anthem that arrives ahead of the former’s sophomore album Blue Disco. They swap verses about how working hard allows them to live soft, while Ragee’s vivacious production requires ditching the section and hitting the dancefloor.

SPINALL & Victony, “EARLY”

SPINALL and Victony’s “EARLY” morning activities might be freakier than yours, according to the highlight track from the former’s latest album ÈKÓ GROOVE. “‘EARLY’ is quite sexual. We’re talking about some grown folks’ business,” the Nigerian DJ/producer told Apple Music. The pulsating Afrobeats-meets-electronic rhythm and Victony’s buoyant vocals will start anyone’s day with their heart racing.

Gyakie, “story”

Afro-fusion songstress Gyakie tells the “story” of a girl who’s head over heels in love on the sax-driven, swoon-worthy cut from her debut album After Midnight. “A love song that talks about the positive side of love,” she told Apple Music, “story” finds Gyakie willing to get her man’s name tattooed on her body and pull up at his location at any given moment.

Tay Iwar, “NEXT2U”

Tay Iwar rather be “NEXT2U,” he implores on the intimate dancefloor filler and closing track of his WONDERFUL EP. The twinkling synth lines and thumping four-on-the-floor pattern create a groove as irresistible as the woman Iwar yearns for. “I’ll be damned if I don’t get to see you again/ It’s a shame, if we don’t get to see again,” he sings with sweet sincerity.

Sarz feat. Teni & Libianca, “African Barbie”

Nigerian singer-songwriter Teni and Cameroonian American artist Libianca brag about being the original “African Barbie” on Sarz’s album Protect Sarz At All Costs. Teni tenderly protects her “goodie goodie goodie” from anyone who’s not worthy, while Libianca’s saucy side and subtle rap flow comes to play when she starts off her verse with “I keep telling motherf—kers, ‘Please don’t waste my time.’” The 45-second bass guitar solo on the outro stokes the flames of the Afropop track’s fiery nature.

SPINALL & Teni, “PSALM 23″

SPINALL’s star-studded EKO GROOVE is full of big production with big collaborations, but he saves this one just for Teni, one of the most confident, innovative singer-rappers of the past few years. And she shows off some of her greatest attributes as an MC on this one, with her ability to mellifluously ride any beat without losing any of the directness of her delivery. It’s two game-changing talents at the height of their powers.

Shallipopi, “Na So”

Few artists have created their own sonic landscapes as particularly as Shallipopi since he burst onto the scene in 2023 — only Seyi Vibez can really rival him for his mix of dark street aesthetics with a combination of singing/rapping/chanting that is hypnotic and voluminous, an aural soundscape all his own. Like his earlier smash “Laho,” “Na So” is a song that pulls a listener into its world by sheer insistence, worming into the mind in a way that is distinct and clever.

Rema, “FUN”

Following on from the chaotic magic of his last single “KELEBU,” “FUN” showcases Rema’s sonic diversity with a new effort that is almost the polar opposite of the uninhibited freedom of the last. “FUN” is much more low key, showing off Rema’s vocals, before picking up on the hook, where he sings about the pressures of family, fame and the competition in the music game, while just wanting to live his life and have fun. “FUN” shows off the flip side of his Afro-Rave aesthetic, and how many forms he can operate within.

Morravey, “You”

Nigerian singer Morravey broke out in a big way with her star turn on Davido’s “The Garden” off his Timeless album in 2023 — arguably the best song on the best African album of the year — so her solo music has been catching eyes and ears ever since. And this one, with a tightly-wound percussion backing, gives her the space to really stretch her voice, as she croons, “Only me and you/ Forever and ever” on the song’s emotive hook. It’s got her distinctive stamp, with enough gospel to send it to the heavens — a beautiful track.

Fireboy DML & Pheelz feat. L.A.X., “On a Kentro”

One of the most dynamic singers on the scene linked up with one of the most in-demand super-producers on the planet for the five-song Peace By Piece EP — with this track a standout among the handful. Fireboy’s voice is distinctive and lush, while Pheelz’s production is unmissable, and L.A.X. delivers a verse that fits in seamlessly. Pheelz has a way of using unattached vocals to enhance his baseline production that provides additional melody — even to someone like Fireboy who seems to ooze ear worm vocal hooks.

The Voice is back.

After a seven-year hiatus, Mariah Carey released Here for It All last Friday (Sept. 26). The 11-track project, issued via gamma., is the latest chapter in the five-octave singer’s storied, record-setting career. In addition to the singles “Type Dangerous” and “Sugar Sweet” featuring Shenseea and Kehlani, the album includes additional guest appearances by Anderson .Paak (“Play This Song”) and The Clark Sisters (“Jesus I Do”) as well as a cover of the Paul McCartney and Wings gem “My Love.” (Check out Billboard’s ranking of the album’s 11 tracks HERE.)

Here for It All brings to 16 the total number of studio albums that Carey has released since bursting onto the scene in 1990 with her self-titled debut album on Columbia Records. And along the way, the singer-songwriter has racked up a host of chart and industry accolades that alone could take up a whole page.

Among those on the Billboard front: 19 Hot 100 No. 1s (18 self-penned), the most of any solo artist; most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with 97 (Rihanna is second with 60); most years ranking at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with 21 (no one else has more than 10); and the only artist with No. 1s in every year of a decade (‘90s, plus into 2000).

That’s not counting Carey’s five Grammy Awards, induction into the Songwriters Hall of fame, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and being presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the recent 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. Plus this winter, her gift that keeps on giving — “All I Want for Christmas Is You” — could become the longest-leading Hot 100 No. 1 ever.

But first, to commemorate the release of Here for It All, members of the Billboard staff have ranked all 15 of Carey’s preceding studio albums.

Brandon Lake’s “Gratitude” returns to the top spot on Billboard’s Christian Digital Song Sales chart (dated Oct. 4) with a 673% increase to 7,000 sold Sept. 19-25, according to Luminate.

The total follows Lake’s performance of the song at the Sept. 21 funeral of slain political activist Charlie Kirk at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. It replaces Lake’s own “Hard Fought Hallelujah” atop the ranking.

The chart’s top three consists of songs performed at Kirk’s service, with Chris Tomlin’s “Holy Forever” a reentry at No. 2 with 6,000 sold, up 1,229%, and Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes and Elevation Worship’s “The Blessing: Live” a returnee at No. 3 (5,000, up 1,731%). Plus, Tomlin’s 2011 version of “How Great Is Our God,” likewise sung at the memorial, debuts at No. 10 (1,000 sold).

“Gratitude” also ascends 7-3 on the Christian Streaming Songs chart, up 39% to 5.1 million streams.

On the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart, “Gratitude” reenters at No. 1, becoming Lake’s second leader, after “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”

Wickham, Fair Trade Triumph

Elsewhere on Billboard’s faith-based charts , Phil Wickham logs his eighth week at No. 1 on Christian Airplay with “What an Awesome God,” which drew 5.1 million audience impressions Sept. 19-25. The original version of the song, released in 1988, was written and performed by Rich Mullins. Wickham and producer Jonathan Lindsey Smith added new verses that power the current hit.

Wickham’s recording is now the sole longest-leading Christian Airplay hit this decade on Fair Trade, breaking a tie with Colton Dixon’s “Build a Boat,” which linked its seven-week No. 1 run in 2022-23. The label also boasts the longest-ruling song in the chart’s 22-year history: MercyMe’s “Word of God Speak” (23 weeks, 2003).

Wickham’s “What an Awesome God” was released in April and in August became his sixth Christian Airplay No. 1. He is currently on the road headlining the multi-artist Air1 Worship Now Tour.

Nicole Kidman is moving to divorce Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage.

The actress filed to legally end their union on Tuesday (Sept. 29) in Nashville court, citing “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences.” The pair shared a primary residence just outside the city in Tennessee.

Billboard has viewed the filing, which states that the former couple’s date of separation was the same as the filing date. It also includes a signed parenting plan agreement. Kidman and Urban share two teenage daughters, over whom Kidman will have primary custody for 306 days a year upon the divorce. Urban will get to spend every other weekend with the kids.

As for the former couple’s assets, the film star and country singer have decided to “amicably” divvy up their properties, vehicles and other belongings. Notably, both parties will walk away with full retention over their respective IP, publishing and recording rights.

Billboard has reached out to Kidman and Urban’s reps for comment.

News of the Golden Globe winner’s filing comes one day after outlets confirmed that she and Urban had separated. After beginning their romance in 2005, the pair tied the knot with a ceremony in Sydney, Australia, the following year.

According to the divorce docs, Kidman and the Aussie hitmaker must wait 90 days before their legal split can take effect following a final court appearance. One of their last public appearances together before their separation was to a FIFA Club World Cup game in June, the same month they celebrated their 19-year wedding anniversary.

Luck Ra was working at a shoe store in a mall when he gave himself an ultimatum: “I released a song that was going to be the last song I’d ever release,” he tells Billboard. “It was going to be the last straw. After that, the chances of being an artist were slim.”

The Argentine artist placed all bets and invested about $5,000 Argentine pesos in a great production and music video that resulted in his 2018 trap song “No Quiero Más.” “I was always realistic, and what was going to be the last song ended up being the beginning of everything,” he says. “That’s where I started giving my first performances.”

For almost five years, the artist born Juan Facundo Almenara Ordóñez dabbled between urban and rock music before discovering a traditional genre that he adopted and made his own: Cuarteto, a rapid-style cumbia and almost merengue-type sound that’s folkloric to his native Córdoba.

“Cuarteto has been around for a long time,” he explains. “It carries a lot of emotional weight, and I love doing it because I feel like it’s part of my family, part of my friends; it’s a sound that’s in my blood. Everyone who does this genre has a band, and when I started, I only had my voice, my best friend, and a computer to digitize the instruments. From there, I created a more personal, more urban sound. I realized that the songs I did in cuarteto sounded better… even my voice sounded more beautiful.”

Under his musical experiment, Luck Ra has scored three No. 1s on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100, among 24 entries: “Ya No Vuelvas” (2023), “La Morocha” (2023) and “Hola Perdida” (2024). The latter, with Khea, reached Nos. 172 and 69 on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, respectively, in February 2024. The song also counts with a remix by Maluma. Additionally, he revived Chayanne’s 2003 song, “Un Siglo Sin Ti,” which peaked at No. 15 on Tropical Airplay, and last year, his album Que Nos Falte Todo was Spotify’s most-streamed album in Argentina.

Currently, Luck Ra is making the rounds with his new single “Tu Misterioso Alguien” (featuring Miranda!) and his 2025 studio album Que Sed, released under Sony Music Latin.

“I come from a very hard-working family, so when I was home alone, I always watched MTV and MuchMusic on TV,” he recalls. “That’s where I first encountered music. I feel like everything has served me well, and I’ve learned from everything to help me do what I do today.”

Below, learn more about this month’s Billboard Latin Artist on the Rise:

Name: Juan Facundo Almenara Ordóñez

Age: 26

Recommended Song: “Hola Perdida” (Luck Ra & Khea)

Biggest Accomplishment: “The welcome I get from the audience at my shows. The greatest gift is seeing family, seeing children, seeing adults, seeing everyone enjoying themselves. Memories are some of the most beautiful things we have left. One of my shows can be a family affair, not just for me, but for my people as well. In terms of work, I’ve met so many people I never thought I’d meet in my life, much less share a song like Maluma. Thanks to Maluma, I also exist! Chayanne, Elvis Crespo too, among so many.”

What’s Next: “Summer is just beginning here in Argentina. We’re preparing our summer songs. The tour never stops. I have my first stadium performance at El Vélez here in Argentina on October 4th, and I also have some shows in Spain.”

Luck Ra is confirmed for “Cumbia and Tropical Music Explosion” panel at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Week taking place from Oct. 20 to 24 at the historic Fillmore Miami Beach. Spanning over 30 years and recognized as the most influential week in Latin music, the event will once again celebrate the heartbeat of Latin music and culture with four days of panels, marquee conversations, roundtables, showcases, networking and activations. Ticket sales and the full schedule are now available at BillboardLatinMusicWeek.com.

Maluma heats things up with “Bronceador,” his first No. 1 of the year on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. The song glides to the top of the overall ranking (dated Oct. 4) with a 5-1 rise thanks to a 44% increase in audience impressions to 9.9 million across Latin radio stations in the United States during the tracking week ending Sept. 25, according to Luminate.

“I’m so happy and grateful for my fans and everyone at radio who have helped make ‘Bronceador’ a success,” Maluma tells Billboard. “Reaching my 25th Billboard Latin Airplay No. 1 is a dream come true and motivates me to keep making music from the heart.”

Maluma’s new champ is his first chart-topper in almost two years, following a four-week reign with “Según Quién” alongside Carín León starting in Dec. 2023. Maluma was last atop the list, unaccompanied by another act, when “Coco Loco” led for a week in Oct. 2023.

As the Colombian star ups his career count to 25 No. 1s, here’s a recap of the artists with the most rulers since Latin Airplay began in 1994:

  • J Balvin, 38
  • Ozuna, 35
  • Enrique Iglesias, 32
  • Bad Bunny, 29
  • Daddy Yankee, 28
  • Maluma, 25
  • Shakira, 24

Released on PARIS LG/Sony Music Latin, the track also shines with its second week atop on Latin Pop Airplay. Plus, Maluma gains momentum on Latin Rhythm Airplay, where “Bronceador” climbs 2-1, marking its first week at No. 1 and earning Maluma his first leader on the list since October 2023.

Oscar Ortiz & Carín León’s First No. 1: Elsewhere on the Latin charts, Oscar Ortiz and Carín León claim the top spot on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with “Y Si Te Vas,” which ascends 2-1 with Greatest Gainer honors, powered by a 24% growth in audience impressions across regional Mexican radio stations in the United States in week ending Sept. 25, as reported by Luminate.

Ortiz and León up their No. 1 count to two and 11, respectively. For Ortiz, this marks his first leader in over a year. For León, he now has the most No. 1s of 2025, with five. Plus, as all 11 of his No. 1s have come in the 2020s, León breaks out of a tie with Christian Nodal for the second-most No. 1s this decade among soloists. They both trail Alejandro Fernandez, with 14 leaders in the 2020s.

“Thanks for bringing me on board this song, carnalito (or brother), I really like it, hug!” León wrote on Ortiz’s Instagram account in July.
