Harry Styles made an unexpected appearance on Saturday Night Live a week before his scheduled return as host and musical guest.

The pop star briefly showed up during Ryan Gosling’s opening monologue on the March 7 episode of NBC’s long-running sketch show, sending the studio audience into a frenzy when cameras revealed him sitting in the crowd.

Gosling quickly incorporated the moment into the bit, jokingly panicking that Styles’ presence was distracting the audience from his monologue plans.

“Is that Harry Styles?” Gosling asked after noticing the singer in the crowd. When the camera cut to Styles, the audience erupted into cheers as the former One Direction member casually waved from his seat.

When Gosling asked why he was there, Styles explained he had simply stopped by to watch ahead of his own hosting gig the following week.

“Well, I’m hosting next week, and it’s been a while,” Styles said during the segment. “So I just wanted to watch and get a feel for it.”

The sketch leaned into the idea that Styles’ effortless cool was overshadowing Gosling’s monologue. At one point, the host joked that Styles’ presence was throwing him off track as he tried to introduce a musical number tied to his upcoming sci-fi film Project Hail Mary.

“Your coolness is becoming a bit of an issue,” Gosling told the singer as the camera repeatedly cut back to him in the audience.

The gag escalated as the show displayed a split-screen of the two stars, with Gosling pleading for the camera to stop cutting to Styles. It was eventually revealed that the crew member operating the camera was a devoted Styles fan.

Gosling ultimately attempted to wrap up the bit with a musical flourish, briefly referencing his viral performance of “I’m Just Ken” from the film Barbie at the 2024 Academy Awards, while Styles remained seated among the crowd.

The cameo arrives ahead of Styles’ official return to the SNL stage on March 14, when he will serve as both host and musical guest.

The appearance comes as the singer continues promoting his latest album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. Released Friday (March 6), the singer’s fourth studio album features Billboard Hot 100-topping lead single “Aperture,” as well as “American Girls” — which got its own music video the day of the album’s release, featuring Styles as an action movie star.

Styles last hosted SNL while also serving as musical guest in 2019.

Pitbull has never been shy about repping his 305 roots — and now Mr. Worldwide wants to make it official with a corporate address on the very block where he grew up.

The Cuban-American hitmaker has filed plans to tear down one of his childhood homes in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood and build an eight-story headquarters for his Mr. 305 music company in its place.

The proposed tower at 25 Northeast 28th Street would replace a modest two-bedroom house built in 1927 — spanning just 700 square feet on a sliver of a lot — with an 11,200-square-foot office building featuring nearly 9,700 square feet of workspace, according to plans submitted to a Miami projects review board.

It’s a full-circle moment for an artist who has spoken openly about growing up on that same stretch of Wynwood long before it became one of the most sought-after creative districts in the country.

“I used to live in Wynwood when they didn’t sell art,” Pitbull said at a 2020 event just blocks from the proposed site. “They sold coke, crack and heroin, so to be able to perform… I used to stay right up the block when nobody believed in me, so to be on this stage is definitely an honor. From 28th Street and N. Miami Ave to be right here, it’s a beautiful thing.”

Brickell-based Rilea Group is heading up the development. The firm said it was “honored to have been selected by Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull”, and confirmed the personal connection to the property.

“Given the personal significance of the site, we are approaching the opportunity with care and look forward to thoughtfully bringing new life to the property as part of Wynwood’s continued evolution,” Rilea Group project executive Luis Ojeda said in a statement.

For Pitbull, the headquarters is the latest addition to an ever-growing Miami business empire that stretches well beyond music.

The 45-year-old founded his first SLAM! tuition-free charter school in Little Havana in 2013. Last year, Miami commissioners approved a controversial no-bid deal to transfer ownership of the historic Olympia Theater in downtown Miami for just $10 to a charter school co-founded by Pitbull, with plans for a $77 million renovation.

In 2024, he made college sports history when he purchased the naming rights to FIU’s football stadium in a five-year, $6 million deal — becoming the first musician to have a stadium bear their name in college athletics. “This is history in the making,” Pitbull told ESPN at the time. “I’m from the crib. I’m 305. I’m from the bottom. This is my backyard.”

He also co-owns the Trackhouse Racing NASCAR team and wrapped a residency at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas earlier this year.

Madonna has answered the call of a Spanish soccer club that was seeking a long-lost jersey worn by the pop icon more than three decades ago.

Madonna replied Saturday (March 7) to a plea for information regarding the whereabouts of the shirt from Spanish soccer club Celta Vigo with a post on X saying that she still possessed the garment.

“This shirt is hanging in my archives! I am wearing and representing your team in spirit!” Madonna wrote in her message.

Celta had published an open letter to Madonna this week asking if she still had the baby-blue-and-white Celta jersey she wore during a 1990 concert at its Balaidos stadium.

Club president Marián Mouriño Terrazo wrote: “Over time we came to better understand what you stood for back then: questioning established norms and standing up to those who try to tell you what you can or cannot do. At our club we recognize ourselves in this line of thought. That is why we hold on to the hope of finding the garment you once wore.

“Do you have it? If you know where it may be, or if you would like to join us in the search to retrieve it, please contact us via private message.”

Madonna’s social media post was a reply to a video posted by the club of a musical rendition of Madonna’s 1989 hit “Like a Prayer” performed on the field of its Balaidos Stadium by a choir of women singers backed by a string orchestra before Friday’s game against Real Madrid.

Will Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, be tying the knot soon?

On Friday (March 6), the pop superstar called into Bruno Mars’ iHeart Radio livestream “Romantic Radio” and hinted that her wedding is just around the corner.

“Hi, Bruno. Me and my fiancé have been traveling all year, but we’re getting married soon,” Gaga said in the pre-recorded voice message. “We were hoping that maybe you could choose a special song for us.”

“I know that voice,” Mars responded with a grin. “That is my dear friend Lady Gaga.”

“If you’re looking for a song to dedicate to your husband, I would say, off this new album of mine, I would go with ‘Risk It All,’ track one,” Mars recommended. “So I want to dedicate this one to Lady Gaga and her fiancé. Michael, this is for you too.”

Mars’ fourth studio album, The Romantic, arrived on Feb. 27. The set, his first since 2016’s 24K Magic, features nine new tracks, including the Billboard Hot 100-topping single “I Just Might,” which marked his first debut and 10th overall entry at the summit.

Gaga and Polansky have been publicly dating since early 2020. The 16-time Grammy winner made their relationship Instagram official in February of that year and shortly after referred to the tech entrepreneur as “the love of my life.” The couple confirmed their engagement in July 2024 when Gaga introduced Polansky as her “fiancé” while speaking with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Polansky collaborated with Gaga on her 2025 album, MAYHEM, and is credited as a co-writer on seven songs. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Although a specific timeline for their wedding hasn’t been announced, Polansky told Rolling Stone in November 2025 that the couple is opting for a private ceremony over an extravagant event.

“We don’t want a really big wedding, but we want to enjoy it,” he said. “In a lot of ways, we already feel married, so it’s not like it’s gonna change much.”

Dogstar is returning with a brand new album.

On Friday (March 6), the rock trio — comprising Keanu Reeves (bass), Bret Domrose (guitar/vocals) and Robert Mailhouse (drums) — announced its fourth studio album, All in Now, set for release May 29 through the band’s own label, Dillon Street Records.

“We couldn’t f—ing wait,” Reeves said in a statement about the group returning to the recording studio. “Personally, I loved it all. For me, the attitude was like, ‘let’s work hard and let’s go.’”

Mailhouse added, “The album really sets up the energy at the heart of this album and the fun that we’ve always had playing together.”

The new Nick Launay-produced set follows Dogstar’s 2023 comeback album, Somewhere Between the Power Lines, which arrived after a two-decade hiatus.

Ahead of the new album, Dogstar shared a music video for All in Now’s title track and revealed a 25-date U.S. summer tour in support of the upcoming release.

The minimalistic three-minute video, directed by Carlos Garcia Medina, finds the trio belting out the melodic track together in a dimly lit room.

“‘All In Now’ just whacks you in the head,” Mailhouse said of the track. “Talk about a live song. Keanu came up with the title for that song too, and it sort of summed up where and who we are as a band today. It just feels true to us. We’re leaning in, and we are going to keep going.”

Dogstar will launch its upcoming tour on May 28 at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland and play one additional show in the state before heading to the United Kingdom and Europe for a run of dates through late July.

The band returns stateside on Aug. 1 at ACL Live at the Moody Theatre in Austin before making stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, Boston, New York and Denver before wrapping the trek on Sept. 3 at the UT at The Complex in Salt Lake City.

Australian pop duo The Veronicas have delivered a new performance for triple j’s long-running Like A Version series, taking on sombr’s track “12 to 12.”

Jess and Lisa Origliasso recorded the cover during the station’s expanded Like A Version month, which is seeing additional performances released alongside the program’s traditional Friday morning sessions.

Introducing their choice of song in the studio, the sisters described sombr as a compelling songwriter and said the track immediately stood out to them as a standout piece of pop writing.

They explained that once they heard “12 to 12,” the song quickly became an obsession, praising its structure and melody as an example of sharp pop craftsmanship. As longtime songwriters themselves, the duo said they were drawn to the strength of the composition, noting their appreciation for artists who demonstrate a strong instinct for building memorable pop songs.

Alongside the cover, The Veronicas also performed their breakout hit “Untouched,” the 2007 single from their album Hook Me Up. The track remains one of the duo’s most recognizable releases and has enjoyed renewed attention in recent years across social media and streaming platforms.

The appearance marked the pair’s proper debut performing in the Like A Version studio, a milestone moment for the Brisbane-raised artists who have been part of Australia’s pop landscape for nearly two decades.

The performance arrives during triple j’s special run of Like A Version sessions this month, which has featured a wider slate of artists delivering covers and originals. Earlier in the week, Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile launched the expanded schedule with a rendition of the Stone Roses’ classic “I Wanna Be Adored,” paying tribute to the band’s late bassist Mani.

Additional acts scheduled to appear during the series include Oklou, Baker Boy, Lucy Dacus, MAY-A, Kevin Abstract and Inkabee.

Over the years, Like A Version has become one of triple j’s most recognizable segments, with artists frequently reinterpreting unexpected songs and introducing new audiences to different corners of pop and alternative music.

BTS are responding directly to the internet as anticipation builds around their upcoming album Arirang.

In a new video released by GQ, the K-pop superstars go undercover online, responding to fan questions pulled from platforms including X, Reddit, TikTok, Quora and YouTube. The segment follows the publication’s recurring format in which artists read and react to discussions circulating about them online.

Throughout the episode, the members address a mix of fan theories, inside jokes and long-running debates within the BTS community. They also fact-check details on their Wikipedia pages and respond to comments about the group’s reunion and evolving sound.

At several points in the video, the conversation turns to how the band’s music and perspectives have shifted since their early years, with the members acknowledging that their current material reflects a more mature stage of their careers.

The clip also touches on BTS’ long relationship with their global fanbase, ARMY, with the members reacting to questions about favourite fan moments and the culture that has grown around the group’s music over the past decade.

In one segment, the group discusses what they have missed most about working together while away from the spotlight and what it has been like to reunite in the studio.

The GQ appearance arrives ahead of the March 20 release of BTS’ next album, Arirang, which marks one of the group’s most significant projects since completing their mandatory military service and returning to activities as a full group. The upcoming record will be the group’s first major release since reconvening following the hiatus period that began in 2022.

Alongside the album, BTS are rolling out several additional projects tied to the comeback.

A concert film titled The Comeback Live is scheduled to debut on March 21, offering fans a performance-focused companion to the new era. A documentary, The Return, will follow shortly after, with the film set to begin streaming on Netflix on March 27.

Harry Styles dropped his new album ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,’ and Billboard staffers sit down to react to Billboard’s rankings of the album and to share their personal rankings and opinions.

Kyle Denis:

Mr. Styles, the man that you are. This is my No. 1, man.

Meghan Mahar:

I have it at No. 4. I found that wildly disrespectful.

Jason Lipshutz:

There is a choir shaking the listener awake. Harry’s talking about unintimate sex, which also kind of shakes the listener awake to some degree.

Meghan Mahar:

Your mind is so powerful.

Tetris Kelly:

Billboard’s staff is reacting to our ranking for Harry Styles’ new album ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.’

Meghan Mahar:

I love Harry’s writing when it feels more journalistic, like this, when there are specific references to places, and I think we can maybe guess who it’s about. But I just think there are so many better songs that shine brighter on this album.

Jason Lipshutz:

I actually really like “Taste Back.” There’s the synths are huge. The hook is huge. It’s very warm. It’s very dripping in nostalgia. I think that some of the lines are really effective placed in kind of the center of the album, right before that kind of mid album pivot. It’s pretty effective.

Kyle Denis:

I have this probably in the 10 to eight range. I don’t think it’s the dead worst song on the album, but I do think that I really enjoy the way that the restlessness of the beat kind of gives you this idea of reconciliation. But are you able to actually reconcile fully with this person or not, or do you just want them for the moment? I like how his voice is kind of subdued on this track. Gives you a little bit of that apprehension that the lyrics are hinting at. I don’t know. I don’t think this is definitely not a top half for the album. At No. 11, we have “Are You Listening Yet?” This is probably where I differentiate from the published ranking most. This is a top five song for me. I love it. It gives Harry meets the dare. I think it’s super, super dope.

Keep watching for more!
