Ed Sheeran is bringing his global Loop Tour to North America next year. The “Azizam” singer announced on Thursday morning (Sept. 18) that the 26-date run of stadium shows will kick off on June 13 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., before moving on to Nashville, Milwaukee, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Atlanta, winding down at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. on Nov. 7.

The North American shows will follow the kick-off of the Loop tour in Auckland, New Zealand in January, before moving on to Australia. According to a release announcing the dates, the tour will feature “an all new set design with new songs from his recently released album, Play, as well as fan favorites and some classics added in.”

Fans can register now here for early access to tickets, with registered fans receiving a one-time code before the launch of the artist pre-sale, which will kick off on Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. local time; registration is free, but does not guarantee tickets. American Express members can access an Amex pre-sale for the North American shows, available for purchase here beginning on Sept. 23 at 12 p.m. local time.

While promoting his just-released Play album, Sheeran has tamped down rumors that he is moving his family to the United States permanently. He clarified things last week in an Instagram post in which he explained that, no, he’s not abandoning his native U.K., but is “going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on, don’t wanna commute from London to San Diego obvz.”

Santos Bravos will make its official debut as a band with a free concert, set to take place in Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional on Oct. 21.

The all-male ensemble — which has yet to unveil its five band members since the reality series is still ongoing — will be HYBE Latin America’s first Latin pop group. The free show will mark the culmination of the 12-episode, multi-platform venture that kicked off in August across YouTube, Spotify, ViX and EXA TV.

While the candidates — hailing from Latin American countries like Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Mexico — have already performed in front of an audience during Sesiones Bravas that have taken place throughout the series, the show at the Auditorio Nacional will serve as the grand finale concert. The event will feature special guests, according to a press release, who will join Santos Bravos. The group will also perform their debut song during the show.

“With Santos Bravos, HYBE Latin America is opening a new chapter in Latin music, building a project with global ambition from its origins in our region,” Jaime Escallón, show runner of the series and general manager of the project at HYBE Latin America, said in a statement. “This debut concert at Auditorio Nacional is just the beginning of what will become an unprecedented cultural and musical
phenomenon.”

Santos Bravos, the name of the band and the series, chronicles HYBE Latin America’s journey to find and launch the next Latin pop band, combining rigorous artist development, storytelling and creative use of digital platforms.

Reservations to attend the Auditorio show are now available on Weverse, HYBE’s social media/fandom platform. Ticket pick-up from Sept. 23 at designated locations, to be announced via Weverse and social media.

All new parents know that precious moments with your firstborn come in dribs and drabs and then in a torrent. Their friends and family also know this because they are often the recipients of a digital deluge of pics, videos and updates about said first kid.

Justin Bieber is no different. The proud papa of one-year-old Jack Blues Bieber posted a series of adorable pics of the little guy taking some tentative steps with mom Hailey Bieber on Wednesday (Sept. 17). In the snaps, Jack, seen from behind wearing a lime green twin-set, is holding Hailey’s hand as the pair take a barefoot walk into a grassy field.

The snaps came a few days after Bieber shared a typed-out “The Bieber Family” code of ethics featuring 10 rules for their young family. The list opens with “We value Rest and Worship,” and includes valuing such things as: longevity and a sustainable pace of life, quality and excellence of production, innovation, health and physical wellness, sustainability, generosity and valuing humans and believing in the their “dignity and eternal worth.”

Bieber is riding high after getting some of the best notices of his career for his dual surprise album drops of Billboard 200 No. 2 charting Swag in early July and it’s equally unexpected Swag II earlier this month. While Bieber has not announced any tour dates in support of the albums, this week it was revealed that he will be among the headliners at next year’s Coachella festival, where he will perform on a bill that also includes fellow top-liners Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G, as well as the XX, Disclosure, Turnstile, the Strokes, Addison Rae, SOMBR, Young Thug and more.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, and a nod to Intocable‘s 30-year legacy, the band from Texas will get its own limited-run channel on SiriusXM.

This will be the first time the radio platform will have a dedicated channel hosted by a norteño music group, according to a press release, with Intocable Radio taking over SiriusXM’s Águila (ch. 153) from Sept. 19-21.

Intocable’s frontman, Ricky Muñoz, will be the guest DJ taking listeners on a “special journey” that will not only highlight the group’s impressive catalog but also honor the artists who’ve influenced the band along the way. The programming will also include anecdotes, never-before-heard stories about the group’s decades-long career and feature a variety of songs from Ana Gabriel, Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Joan Sebastian, Los Bukis and Selena, among other artists.

“We’re grateful to be able to represent our Latin community as the first regional Mexican/norteño group to have a dedicated channel on SiriusXM,” Muñoz tells Billboard. “We’re grateful to the entire team, and we hope listeners enjoy it. The experience was incredible! We were able to relive career moments, talk a little more about the music we grew up listening to, and the songs that have brought us to where we are today. Again, thank you to the SiriusXM team for allowing us to join them in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.”

Intocable Radio will be available throughout the weekend on channel 153 for SiriusXM subscribers in their cars and on the SiriusXM app.

With eight No. 1 LPs on the Top Latin Albums chart — including Sueños (2002), La Historia (2003) and Highway (2016) — the tejano pioneers have stood the test of time soundtracking multigenerational homes on both sides of the border. Intocable is set to be honored with their very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

Spotify has announced a new multi-year global partnership with Sony Music, the third and final major to sign a new deal with Spotify this year. The deal encompasses both the recorded music and publishing sides of Sony’s business, and according to Spotify, its “new direct licensing arrangement in the U.S.” will result in higher royalties for songwriters.

It’s a notable part of the deal, given Spotify came under fire from music publishers last spring when it started paying a reduced royalty rate to songwriters and publishers in the U.S., resulting in what the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) says was a loss of $230 million in royalties in the first year.

Related

This is because Spotify found that by adding audiobooks into its premium subscriptions, it could reclassify those popular subscriptions as “bundles,” a type of plan that qualifies for a discounted rate on U.S. mechanical royalties given that multiple products are offered under one price tag. The move caught publishers off guard and reignited longstanding tensions between publishers and Spotify about what royalties songwriters should earn.

Sony follows Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Kobalt in making these direct deals to, in part, improve remuneration for songwriters post-bundling. It’s unclear if these deals bring these companies’ royalty rates back to the level they were before bundling or not.

In a press release about the deal, limited information is given about the nature of this expanded partnership. According to a press release about the deal, “the companies will work together to keep improving the listening experience while creating more opportunities for artists and songwriters to reach audiences everywhere. These initiatives will launch new product offerings including enhanced audio and visual formats that enable deeper connections with fans.”

Recently, Spotify has been focused on expanding its offerings. The Stockholm-based company has announced it will now allow for direct messaging, a new DJ feature for playlists and high-fidelity listening — all as part of premium. Late last year, it also rolled out music videos for 97 countries, excluding users in the U.S. and Canada.

“Our partnership with Sony is built on a shared drive to shape the future of music. Together, we’re accelerating the pace of innovation to create powerful new opportunities and increasing revenue for artists and songwriters,” says Daniel Ek, Spotify’s founder and CEO. “These agreements aren’t just a milestone; they’re a catalyst for building a more dynamic and prosperous music ecosystem for everyone.”

Rob Stringer, chairman of Sony Music Group, says: “Sony Music Group and Spotify have long been mutually committed to advancing music streaming and growing the marketplace for all. This is further reflected in our new agreements where we’re working to develop futuristic approaches that ensure our artists and songwriters remain appropriately compensated for their work, and audiences are getting a high-quality experience that’s ever evolving.”

“These deals with Sony Music Group are built to better support artists and songwriters by unlocking new formats and forging deeper connections with fans,” says Alex Norström, co-president and chief business officer at Spotify. “This alignment creates space for new opportunities and long-term growth for everyone involved.”

Miley Cyrus is prepping an expanded version of her Something Beautiful visual album. The singer announced on Wednesday (Sept. 17) in an Instagram post that the deluxe edition of her most ambitious LP will drop on Friday (Sept. 19) and that the refresh will feature the original album’s 13 songs, plus two new tracks featuring rock icons.

Related

Cyrus has been teasing one of the tracks for several weeks, “Secrets,” a sweeping ballad featuring former Fleetwood Mac bandmates drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist/singer Lindsey Buckingham. The expanded version of her ninth studio album will also feature a collaboration with David Byrne called “Lockdown.”

The latter is her latest team-up with the 73-year-old Talking Heads legend, who also joined her in 2022 for her NBC New Year’s Eve special, where they performed a duet on David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” as well as Byrne’s “Everybody’s Coming To My House.”

The singer has said that she wrote “Secrets” for her dad Billy Ray Cyrus’ 64th birthday. She previewed the soaring single in a post earlier this week in which she sings, “Anywhere you go/ You know I’ll follow.” While Cyrus has not said much about the ballad she first teased last month, Billy Ray said in an Instagram story at the time that it was a “gift of music” his daughter gave him for his recent bday and that it features two of his “favorite musicians” from Fleetwood Mac.

Something Beautiful was released in May and it features collaborations members of the bands Alvvays, Model/Actriz, the War on Drugs, as well as Danielle Haim, Flea, model Naomi Campbell and Brittany Howard. The album was accompanied by a musical film written and co-directed by Cyrus that premiered at this year’s Tribeca Festival and then played in theaters for one-night-only in June before moving to streaming on Hulu.

Brian Eno’s Together For Palestine concert took place in London on Wednesday evening (Sep. 17) with early estimates indicating that the benefit gig raised over £1.5 million ($2m) and counting for Palestinian-led charities and organisations.

The all-star concert was held at the OVO Wembley Arena and featured a series of performances and speeches by 150 leading artists and figures from around the world, including Eno, Blur’s Damon Albarn, Paul Weller, PinkPantheress and Palestinian artists Elyanna and Saint Levant. The funds raised by the concert will be distributed by the pro-immigration charity Choose Love, to organizations such as Taawon, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Palestine Medical Relief Service.

Eno, alongside fellow producers Khalid Abdalla, Khaled Ziada and Tracey Seaward, announced the concert in July. He wrote, “What we are witnessing in Gaza isn’t a mystery, and neither is it a blur of competing narratives making it ‘hard to understand’,” it read in part. “When dozens of non-partisan organisations like Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders describe it as genocide, the moral line is clear. We can’t remain silent. Which is why I’m helping to organise Together for Palestine – a night of music, reflection and hope at Wembley Arena.”

On Tuesday (Sep. 16), the UN’s commission for inquiry declared that Israel had committed genocide during its ongoing military operations in Palestine. Since the Oct. 7 attacks, which saw terrorist group Hamas murder 1,200 Israeli citizens and take 251 hostages, over 64,964 Palestinian citizens have been killed by Israeli attacks, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. Over 90% of homes in Palestine are estimated to have been damaged or destroyed with the vast majority of the population displaced and requiring urgent aid.

The concert, hosted by comedian Guz Khan, was streamed live on YouTube. Prior to the event, Billie Eilish and brother Finneas appeared alongside actors Cillian Murphy, Javier Bardem, Brian Cox, Joaquin Phoenix and more in a short video pledging support for Palestine people.

The evening hosted a number of special musical performances. Eno teamed up with Albarn, Weller, Nadine Shah, Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor and Adnan Jourban for a rare public performance; he performed a piece of music especially composed for the event, before reciting Khaled Juma’s poem Oh Rascal Children of Gaza. The show’s visuals were designed by Malak Mattar, a painter known as the “Picasso of Palestine.”

Portishead reunited for a special pre-recorded performance of their 1994 song “Roads,” and Albarn’s Gorillaz joined Omar Souleyman for a rendition of “Damascus” which appears on the animated band’s upcoming album, The Mountain. Albarn also joined the London Arab Orchestra and the Juzour Dance Collective for a number of traditional Palestinian songs.

Annie Lennox contributed a pre-recorded performance of her hit single “Why?,” amending the closing lyrics to: “This is the sound of drones and guns/ Watch the people run run run/ Shoot to kill them just for fun/ Bodies falling one by one.” The new version, “Why? – For Gaza,” will be available on streaming platforms in the coming days with all proceeds from the single going to the Together for Palestine fund.

Performances on the night also came from Neneh Cherry, Greentea Peng, and Dan Smith (Bastille), Cat Burns, Rachel Chinouriri, Celeste, James Blake, Sampha, Jamie xx and Paloma Faith.

The performances were interspersed with speeches, poems and recitals by actors Riz Ahmed, Guy Pearce, Benedict Cumberbatch, Florence Pugh, Richard Gere, and more. Broadcaster Mehdi Hasan was joined by Palestinian reporter Yara Eid in a segment focusing on the targeting of the press in the conflict area by Israeli forces.

Manchester United legend Eric Cantona made a surprise appearance alongside Mahmoud Sarsak, whose teammate Suleiman al-Obeid – referred to as the “Palestinian Pele” – was killed by Israeli forces while waiting for humanitarian aid. During the segment, Cantona called for a boycott of Israeli teams: “Clubs everywhere must refuse to play Israeli teams, current players everywhere must refuse to play against Israeli teams… football fans around the world, recognize your power – those teams represent you. It’s time for everyone to get off the sidelines, who will follow me?”

A number of musicians did not perform, but appeared with speeches. “I think a lot about what I can do, not only as an individual, but as an artist,” said PinkPantheress in her segment. “We have a responsibility to use our platforms. Neutrality or silence shouldn’t be an option. Give Palestine your voice, and when your voice goes hoarse, hang your flags, wear your keffiyeh. Show them we are here.” See footage from her clip below.

Merchandise from the event is available to purchase here with all proceeds being directly donated to the overall fund. Direct donations can be made here.

Chappell Roan will head down under early next year, for a spot headlining the Laneway Festival.

With her Laneway debut in the southern summer, the Midwest native will mark her first-ever national tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The traveling, day-long festival will kick off at Western Springs in Auckland on Feb. 5, 2026 then head west for dates on the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and comes to a halt Feb. 1 at Perth’s Arena Joondalup.

Roan is untouchably hot in these parts right now. In January of this year, her hit “Good Luck, Babe” came in at No. 1 on triple j’s Hottest 100, with the greatest number of votes ever for a winning track in the countdown. Also, Roan became the first solo female artist to win with a debut and sole entry.

From humble beginnings in Melbourne’s New Caledonian Lane, to expanding with dates as far afield as Singapore and Detroit, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival has the enviable reputation for booking the coolest acts before they go supernova. For one, Billie Eilish played Laneway in 2018, as she was flying to the highest points of pop music.

Co-founded by Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio, and now part of TEG’s live entertainment portfolio, Laneway Festival booked Charli XCX to play at the 2025 edition. That run drew over 200,000 music fans to sold-out shows across six cities, plus another 40,000 at sideshows.

Other performers at Laneway 2026 include BENEE, Wolf Alice, Role Model, Wet Leg and many more.

According to organizers, next year’s run will feature 35% more artists, a brand new East Coast stage, and a third of the lineup making their Australian debut.

The general onsale starts Sept. 24 from 10am AEST, a day after the Laneway Festival pre-sale, with staggered release times across each city.

Tame Impala‘s fifth studio album Deadbeat is still a month away, but we now know a little more what it will sound like.

Kevin Parker‘s psychedelic pop project has dropped the 12-track setlist for Deadbeat, using the platform of his socials to do so.

Tame Impala gets word out with a simple post, which features a spinning, colored vinyl with the album’s tracks flashing up, three at a time.

If that doesn’t get the juices pumping, switch on the audio. The soundbed to Tame Impala’s post is a snippet of a new track. On it, Parker sings: “In the end I hope it’s you and me / In the darkness I would never leave, you / Ever seen me in the light of day / It’s far too late, the time must come.”

Deadbeat is primed for a global release Oct. 17th, Tame Impala’s first through the Sony Music machine, by way of a new deal with Columbia Records, ending a years-long relationship with Modular Recordings and Universal Music.

The first two tracks from it are the lengthy, dancefloor ready “End of Summer,” and the latest release, “Loser,” a funky throwback track that’s accompanied with a music video directed by Kristofski and starring Stranger Things‘ Joe Keery (aka Djo).

Another cut, understood to be “Ethereal Connection,” was gifted to the world as an untitled b-side for the 12-inch of “End of Summer”, which was sold on the Aussie artist’s website with a limited number of copies.

As previously reported, Deadbeat is inspired by the “bush doof” culture of Parker’s native, Western Australia rave scene.

A message on the pre-order page for the Deadbeat vinyl reckons “Parker sculpts a collection of wickedly potent club-psych explorations as a vehicle for some of his most direct, brain-wormy songwriting to date, recasting Tame Impala as a kind of future primitive rave act in the process.”

Deadbeat will drop more than half a decade after The Slow Rush, from February 2020, a record that went to No. 1 on Australia’s ARIA Chart, and earned career peak positions on the Billboard 200 and Official U.K. Albums Chart UK, both at No. 3. Its predecessor, 2015’s Currents, topped the Australian chart and crashed the top 5 in the U.S. (at No. 4) and in the U.K. (No. 3), where Parker and his Tame Impala bandmates collected the Brit Award for best international group.

Although Tame Impala is not currently on tour, Parker will enjoy the southern summer when he takes the stage as a a special guest DJ for Justice’s Australian arena tour in December 2025.

Watch the clip below and check out the setlist in full.
